Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1320: We slept together.

"We are your family, as it should be." said Edgar.

Hearing this, Marcos said in a sincere tone, "Thanks guys."

"What's with the sudden thank you?".

Marcos took out a napkin and spoke slowly, "Thank you for taking care of Paulina while I was gone."

Edgar frowned, "Are you remembering something?".

Why else would he say something like that?

"No, I'm not thinking of anything." Marcos smiled helplessly, "But it's hard for me when I know how hard Paulina has been working these days.

Maybe the mind doesn't remember, but the heart does.

At those words, Paulina's nose tingled and her eyes misted over, she pursed her lips and smiled, "As long as you come back safe and sound, there's no need to mention anything." "No, it's especially important to me." Marcos stared at her, "Now that I'm back, I'll make it up to you."

A mist of water suddenly surged in front of her eyes.

Paulina reached up and pressed the inner corners of her eyes to force back tears.

With her words, all the perseverance and hard work of the past few days had paid off.

"Well, don't show your love in front of me." said Edgar without smiling, breaking the somewhat sad atmosphere in one breath. Paulina broke into a smile, "What, envy or jealousy?"

"Both."

Indeed, Edgar was envious of their relationship and wished he and Edwina could be as affectionate as they were.

"Come on, you're not single, what's the point of being envious?" Paulina spat grumpily.

Dulce casually walked over with the food and overheard her, asking suspiciously, "What single?".

"No, just casual conversation." Paulina and Edgar looked at each other and said nothing more.

Dulce put down the dishes, looked at Marcos and said, "When Marcos gets his memory back, we'll get together as a family then."

Paulina nodded, "Okay."

"Call Elva and the others then too."

At that, Edgar frowned, "Mom, we're having a family reunion, what are you calling them for?"

"It's going to be a family soon." Dulce smiled.

Edgar opened his mouth to retort, but Dulce sensed his intention and spoke before him, "Well, Marcos is back to stay, so don't spoil everyone's fun." When she said that, Edgar couldn't say anything else.

Paulina couldn't help him even though she felt sorry for him.

After dinner, Paulina and Marcos went upstairs to rest.

"You sleep in this room today." Paulina gave up her room to him.

"And you?" asked Marcos.

Paulina smiled, "I'll take the guest room."

Marcos frowned, "Or I'll take the guest room."

Paulina was about to say no when Esteban and Sweety came running in.

"Dad, we want to sleep with you for the night." said Esteban.

Marcos looked at Paulina: "Do you want to sleep with me?".

Sweety nodded emphatically, "Well, and mom too."

Paulina was quick to say, "No, you guys have to sleep alone, you can't disturb dad."

Mark had not yet recovered his memory, and she could not let him sleep in the same bed with the baby and her.

Even if they were married.

"I don't want to, I want to sleep with Dad Mom." Sweety pouted unhappily.

"Sweety ..."

Paulina pretended to cajole her into dropping the idea.

Who knew Mark would agree.

"Okay, we'll sleep together."

Paulina froze, "Are you sure?"

A faint smile tugged at the corners of Marcos' mouth, "We're family, aren't we?".

Well, she couldn't argue with that.

And as soon as Esteban and Sweety heard her say yes, they immediately let out a cheer, "Great!".

Then they ran into the room, one after the other.

Looking at the two happy little ones, Marcos shifted his gaze to Paulina's face with a tenderness in his eyes that she didn't know was there, "Do you mind?" Paulina giggled, "What do I care?"

"After all ... I'm like a stranger to you now that I've lost my memory."

Paulina shook her head softly, "I don't care, no matter what you become, you are still my husband, the man I love."

The words fell on Mark's ears like a stone thrown into the lake of his heart, sending ripples through him.

He couldn't help but reach around her waist and take her in his arms, his large palm caressing her back.

The smell of his clean, fresh scent entered her nostrils and Paulina slowly closed her eyes, her heart instantly filled with solidity and peace.

Her Mark had finally returned.

A low, melodious voice rang in her ears, "Paulina, I will try to remember what happened between us and spend the rest of my life making it up to you."

Paulina opened her arms and wrapped them tightly around his waist, burying her face in his embrace, her voice muffled, "You said it, I want you to be good to me for the rest of your life and never leave me again."

During the time he had left her, she knew better than anyone how many tears she had shed and how many nights she had woken up with her eyes open until dawn.

She didn't want to go through such painful days again.

Mark let out a soft "hmm" and tightened his grip further, his beautiful face full of determination.

This time, he had to remember the past.

...

Before returning to J-town, Paulina decided to take Marcos to see his mother.

On the way to the hospital, Paulina told him, "When you see my mother, remember to call her 'mom' and if she asks you why it took you so long to come back, tell her that there was more work and that's why it took you so long." And because he feared his mother would worry if she found out about Marcos' memory loss, he gave her a special warning.

Marcos smiled, "Don't worry, I'll see what I can do."

Paulina thought for a moment, still unsure, "Forget it, you should keep your words to yourself like before, I'll say what happens."

As she said that, the car had slowed to a stop in front of the hospital.

Arriving at the ward, Agustina was surprised to see Marcos, "Marcos, when did you come back?"

Marcos said apologetically, "Mom, I'm sorry I haven't seen you in so long."

"Mom knows you've been busy with work and doesn't want to blame you." explained Agustina.

Paulina reached over and took her mother's arm, "Mom, we are going back to J-Town for a while and we may not be able to come spend time with you for a while."

"I don't need your company." Agustina patted her hand reassuringly, "As long as you two are okay, it's more important than anything else."

Paulina lost her smile, "Mom, we've been fine."

"That's good." Agustina smiled reassuringly.

After chatting with her mother for a while, Paulina took Mark to see Grandpa Khan again.

"Grandpa hasn't woken up yet, but the doctor says there is quite a bit of hope." Paulina said as she looked at Grandpa, who was still too unconscious to sleep.
