Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1325: It's All My Fault

After dinner, the family sat around chatting, the whole room echoing with laughter.

Mark sat quietly, watching each of them happily, the corners of his mouth curved unconsciously.

So this was really being at home.

It was a feeling he'd never had in the Bartram family.

Warm and reassuring.

Suddenly, a dull ache shot through his head.

The pain was too sudden.

He couldn't help but stifle a grunt, and Paulina, sitting next to him, heard it and turned her head to see him with a hand on his head, looking pained, and blushed in surprise. "Marcos, what's wrong with you, why don't you feel well?".

With this distressed question he asked, the others stopped chattering and looked over.

"Marcos!"

"Big brother!"

With a startled cry, Marcos fainted.

"Call a doctor, call a doctor!" Mrs. Gloria's voice became shrill with worry and fear.

The housekeeper, who was at her side, hurried to pick up the phone.

They helped Mark lie down on the bed, Paulina sat on the edge of the bed, holding her hand tightly, tears falling like broken pearls.

Mrs. Gloria was also wiping tears from her eyes.

The air in the room was depressing as everyone's faces looked uncomfortable.

Bonita stepped forward and raised her hand to place it gently on Paulina's shoulder, comforting her gently, "Sister-in-law, don't worry, big brother will be fine."

At these words, Paulina's tears instantly fell harder and she choked, "It's all my fault, it's all my fault, if only I had stopped him from taking that medicine ..."

At this point, she was too uncomfortable to say more.

"Take, take what medicine?" asked Mr. Juan behind her.

Paulina pursed her lips before answering, "It's a medicine that Almeida and the others have developed to restore memories."

"Why are they so confused?" Mr. Juan sighed heavily. "This medicine has just been developed and we don't know what the side effects are, so it's too confusing to let Marcos take it!" "I'm sorry." Paulina suddenly felt that it was all her fault.

If she hadn't wanted Marcos to get his memory back, she wouldn't have let Almeida and the others work on the medicine.

"It's all my fault, it's all my fault..." She slapped herself hard.

"Sister-in-law!" Bonita was so shocked that she was quick to grab his hand and turn her head toward Mr. Juan: "Papa, the medicine has been taken, it's useless to say anything more!"

"I ..." Mr. Juan wanted to say something else, but was interrupted by Mrs. Gloria: "Okay, cut the crap, can't you see that Paulina is having a hard time too?".

After this, Mrs. Gloria came closer and looked at Paulina's cheeks that were red from Paulina's own blows, she sighed and said eagerly, "Silly girl, it's not your fault, Marcos himself wants to recover his memory with all his might." Paulina turned her head to look at Marcos.

His eyes were closed and he looked calm, as if he had just fallen asleep.

Soon the butler came in with the doctor.

After the doctor's examination, there was nothing serious about Marcos' health and he did not understand how a healthy man could suddenly faint.

"Doctor, it's hard to know what has been going on for a while, is there anything I can do to get him to wake up as soon as possible?" asked Mr. Juan evasively.

The doctor was silent for a few seconds before speaking slowly, "Actually, instead of saying he's fainted, we should say he's fallen asleep. It's probably because he's very tired, so we'll have to wait a little longer, maybe he'll wake up in the morning."

"Doctor, you say he's okay?" asked Paulina with trepidation.

The doctor nodded, "Well, nothing, nothing."

At that, Paulina's tense nerves relaxed.

She was fine.

When the doctor left, Bonita said, "Dad, Mom, let's go out and have sister-in-law stay with big brother."

Sister Juan nodded, "Okay, let's go out."

"Sister-in-law, if there is anything you need, ask Alvaro," Bonita said, turning to Paulina.

Paulina said, "You all rest, I'll be fine here."

The room fell silent as they left and the door closed.

Paulina got up, tucked Mark in and went to the bathroom.

She didn't notice Marcos, on the bed behind her, suddenly open his eyes.

Where was he?

Marcos turned his head and looked both ways, at the familiar curtains, the familiar furnishings, and smiled as if relieved.

So he had come home.

He felt he had had a long dream.

In the dream he had married and had had a child.

It was quite ridiculous to think about it now that he had woken up.

How could he be married?

Paulina came out of the bathroom just in time to see Marcos about to sit up, his eyes snapped open and he hurried to get up.

"Marcos, you're awake!"

The startled voice echoed in the room.

Marcos froze as he stared at the woman in front of him.

Who was she?

Tears instantly filled his eyes and Paulina smiled, "You finally woke up, you scared the hell out of me."

Mark was brought back to his senses by the sound of her voice, a pair of good looking sword eyebrows furrowed and thin lips parted, "Who are you, what are you doing in my room?".

The smile on Paulina's face froze instantly and she looked at him in disbelief, "You don't remember me?"

"Should I remember you?" Mark asked her in turn, with a thin layer of frost covering his handsome face and his voice turning cold, "You think that's going to get my attention?"

He was like the man he had been when they first met.

Cold, without a trace of emotion.

"I'm your woman." Paulina said calmly.

"Wife?" Marcos snorted, "Are you crazy? Or are you just daydreaming?"

"We have two children, a son and a daughter, a son named Esteban and a daughter named Sweety," Paulina said, still calm.

Marcos' brow furrowed and the boy's face suddenly flashed through his mind, clearly.

So clear that it startled him.

"Are you forgetting about us again?" asked Paulina.

Marcos raised his eyes and met hers, full of sadness.

His heart, a dull ache.

"I ..." Marcos moved his mouth to say something, but didn't know what to say.

"My your wife, Paulina."

"Paulina..." Marcos blurted out unconsciously, as a sudden pain hit him.

He grabbed his head and mumbled, "My head hurts, my head hurts ...".

This startled Paulina and she grabbed his hand, screaming, "Marcos, don't scare me, don't scare me ..."

Her screams fell on his ears and Marcos felt as if a large stone had been pressed against his heart, weighing him down.

Paulina.

His Paulina.

Mark dropped his hand and his eyes lifted as Paulina's crying face fell into his eyes.

"Don't cry." He reached up and gently wiped the tears from her face.

Paulina grabbed his hand and said seriously, "Marcos, it doesn't matter if you remember me or not, I just want you to be healthy and well." Marcos curved his mouth and whispered, "You fool, how can I not remember you."
