Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1409: The Tiger's Father Has No Children
The next morning, as usual, the driver took Esteban to school.
Alfredo had received orders from Marcos the night before and was waiting outside Villa La familia Leoz first thing in the morning. When he saw the chauffeur leave, he immediately drove after him. Twenty minutes later, the car arrived in front of the school.
Alfredo saw Esteban get out of the back seat.
As soon as Esteban appeared, several young girls immediately gathered around him.
"Esteban, this is the lunch box I had my cook prepare especially for you." One girl handed the bento box in his hand.
Immediately, the other girls did not hesitate to hand out what they had so carefully prepared.
There were cakes and various kinds of cookies.
Looking at the lively scene not far away, Alfredo couldn't help but sigh, "It's true that a tiger's father is as popular as his son." "Thank you." Esteban merely said a light-hearted thank you, took nothing from the girls, and walked straight into the school. The girls hurried after him.
Alfredo also hurried out of the car, but was stopped before anyone could enter the school.
"This gentleman, may I ask who you are looking for?" the guard asked.
Alfredo saw that Esteban had walked away, smiled at the security guard, turned around and headed around the corner to call Marcos.
With Marcos' help, Alfredo entered the school without a problem.
But after his observation throughout the day, Esteban was no different from the other children, he came and went to and from class normally and got along well with his classmates. There were no arguments or fights with his classmates.
In the afternoon, after school, the driver came to pick up Esteban and took him to the karate gym.
When the coach saw Esteban arrive, his serious face immediately softened and he even smiled a little.
It was not because of Esteban's status, but because Esteban was talented and his most beloved student. "Master." Esteban saluted.
The coach smiled and nodded, "Warm up first and then play some moves with me."
"Good."
Through the glass window, Alfredo watched Esteban obediently walk to the corner and do his warm-up.
The other children approached him, wondering what was being said, and Esteban had a rare smile on his face.
It was clear that Esteban was getting along well with the other young men in the gym.
Alfredo couldn't help but wonder how Esteban had gotten injured if he got along with everyone.
When Esteban finished warming up, he approached the trainer, "Sensei, can you teach me a few more moves to control my opponent today?"
The coach frowned, "Didn't I teach you a few new moves yesterday?".
"I've already learned them." said Esteban.
Seeing his confident look, the coach laughed helplessly, "Esteban, it's not enough to learn the moves, you have to practice more to really master them." "Sensei, I want to learn a new move."
"Esteban, you are in too much of a hurry, take your time or you will swallow them whole and your skills will not be solid."
Alfredo outside listened to what the instructor said and nodded his head.
Whatever you learn, it's not about learning fast that makes you good, it's about learning solidly.
He was sure Esteban was smart enough to understand this, but why did he still insist on learning new moves?
Although the instructor felt that Esteban was too eager, he taught him some new moves and arranged for him to play against other children. Esteban has a real talent and, after only two lessons, he learned the moves completely and even mastered the main points of the moves.
He was able to play with the other children with great speed and precision, and his movements were as crisp and clean as those of an adult. Alfredo was dumbfounded.
He didn't know Esteban was so good.
Surprised, Alfredo called Marcos and told him the whole story.
Marcos, on the other end of the phone, listened with a frown.
Esteban wasn't supposed to be violent, so why was he so eager to learn all the new moves?
Even the wise Marcos couldn't guess what his son was thinking, so he said, "Alfredo, keep an eye on him and report back to me immediately." "Yes."
After hanging up the phone, Alfredo continued to watch Esteban's every move in the arena.
But Esteban wasn't doing anything different, except practicing very carefully.
...
Paulina's concern grew as she learned about Esteban's condition throughout the day.
"At first Esteban was asked to learn karate just to defend himself, but now Esteban is so desperate to learn all kinds of new moves, it doesn't seem to be for defense, but for something else."
A pair of fine, pretty eyebrows knitted together, Paulina's eyes brimming with concern.
Marcos remained silent, looking thoughtful.
Alvaro entered the study, clearly sensing that the atmosphere was rarefied, and seeing the expressions of his brother and sister-in-law he went a little pale.
"Brother, sister-in-law, are you worried about Esteban?" Alvaro had heard about Esteban from his parents' mouths.
Actually, in his opinion, it was normal for young boys to have some injuries and not to worry too much.
Paulina tugged helplessly at the corner of her lips and gave a soft "yes."
"Sister-in-law, Esteban is a smart boy, he's young and has a good sense of what he's doing, he'll be fine." assured Alvaro.
"But things are not fine right now."
Paulina told Alvaro about Esteban's current situation, and Alvaro listened, frowning, "Could it be that Esteban is so intelligent that he finds out everything at the first opportunity? No wonder he asks to learn a new move." He was right to think so, except that...
"If that's really all there is, then how did he get that injury?" asked Paulina.
Since he hadn't fought with his classmates and hadn't gotten hurt in a fight with the other kids at the karate school, how had he gotten all those bruises?
That was the biggest mystery.
"Could it really be from a fall?". Alvaro looked at his older brother.
Marcos shook his head, "Those bruises obviously aren't from a fall, they're from a beating."
"Esteban must be hiding something from us." Paulina said confidently.
Alvaro had been a little unconcerned, but now that he had analyzed it, he was on to something.
"Brother, tell Alfredo to keep an eye on everything so he doesn't miss anything, lest something happens to Esteban and we don't find out."
Saying this, Paulina became even more worried.
"No, from now on it is better that I take Esteban to school myself." said Paulina.
Marcos thought about it and said, "If you want to pick him up and drop him off yourself, fine. But don't show it too obviously so Esteban doesn't find out." "Yes, sister-in-law, in case Esteban hides things more then it will be hard for us to know what he has gotten himself into."
Paulina nodded, "I know."
The rest of the family knew about Esteban's situation and everyone was worried, but no one showed it in front of Esteban. Esteban didn't realize anything was wrong either.
The next day, after breakfast, he took his school bag and left the villa as he always did, but found that the chauffeur had not yet brought the car. He stood at the door waiting.
