Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1440: Why are you blushing?

On the weekend, Paulina takes the two little ones to Kyoto.

Knowing she was coming, Baggott and Sweety picked them up at the airport early.

Esteban and Sweety jumped at the sight of their aunt and uncle, whom they hadn't seen in a while. "Grandparents, my brother and I have missed you so much." said Sweety in a milky voice.

Looking at the two children, Baggott and Sweety's hearts had softened to a puddle.

"We miss you too." Baggott scooped Sweety into his arms.

"Brother-in-law, sister-in-law, it's been a long time." Paulina stepped forward and hugged Sweety.

Sweety grabbed her arms and looked her up and down, frowning, "Why do you look like you've lost weight?"

"Have I?" Paulina touched her face.

She didn't have the feeling that she had lost weight.

"Yes, it's thinner." Dulce's face was full of pain, "You've had a hard time coming here, so stay longer and I'll help you replenish your body." Paulina smiled helplessly.

Old people were like that, whether she had really lost weight or not, they had to give her a tonic anyway.

In fact, at home, when her mother-in-law made soup for Bonita, she made extra portions for her.

She had more or less put on weight.

She knew her aunt-in-law was worried about her, so she didn't say anything.

On the way back to The Khan Family, Sweety was laughing as she told them stories about her kindergarten days.

Paulina got out of the car and saw Edwina and Bonnie standing in the doorway.

She smiled and walked over to them, "Edwina, it's been a long time."

"Mrs. Paulina," Edwina looked a little excited.

It was the first time Paulina had come to the house since she and Edgar had become engaged.

It had been a few days since they had seen each other, and the three children were not separated and soon warmed up, running into the house together, hand in hand. "Come on, let's go inside too."

Edwina took Paulina's hand and went inside.

Seeing this, Dulce couldn't help but sigh, "I have two more daughters."

Baggott slipped his arm around her shoulders, "They're like our daughters to begin with."

"How are you doing here?" asked Paulina worriedly as she sipped the water Edwina handed her.

Edwina smiled faintly, "Not at first, but I've gotten used to it."

"Are they treating you well, my brother-in-law?"

She asked this question just as Baggott and Dulce passed by and overheard her.

Dulce didn't have the heart to reply, "Do you think we're going to treat Weevil harshly?"

Paulina spat her tongue, "Not at all, I was just asking."

Edwina looked at Baggott and Dulce and said, "Mom and Dad would be nice to me."

Paulina asked again as she took a sip of her water, "What about my cousin?".

"It's ah..."

At the mention of Edgar, Edwina's face reddened and she lowered her head shyly. "Of course he's nice to me."

"I didn't ask anything, why are you blushing?" teased Paulina with a smile.

Edwina covered her face, "Mistress Paulina, don't you dare laugh at me."

Paulina lost her smile, "It's okay, I won't laugh at you."

It was clear that she had become more cheerful than before.

This showed that her brother-in-law and aunt were really good to her.

After lunch, Paulina took a short lunch break and then went to the hospital.

Her mother was much better and could be discharged to stay at home, but she didn't want to.

Because she wanted to stay with the old man.

When she saw Paulina, Agustina was surprised, "Paulina, when did you arrive?"

"I just arrived this morning."

Paulina approached and Agustina took her hand and asked again, "Did Esteban and Sweety come?".

"Yes, at the old house."

Agustina smiled and said, "I haven't seen Esteban and Sweety for days, they must have grown up quite a bit."

"Mom, come back to the old mansion with me tonight." Paulina said.

"Okay." Agustina patted her hand, "How can I not make a trip to the old house if you guys are here."

Paulina smiled and turned her head to look at the old man in the hospital bed, picking up a smile from his face and asking, "How is Grandpa's health?"

Agustina sighed, "Same as always. The doctor said he would wake up, but after so long without waking up, I don't think there's much hope."

At this point, Agustina's eyes were red, "I wish your grandfather had woken up sooner, I have so many things to tell him and I want to fulfill my filial duty as a daughter." The tears were still unresolved.

Agustina reached up and wiped away the tears.

She knew her mother had a guilty conscience toward her grandfather and she was determined to make amends.

"Mom, Grandpa is going to wake up." Paulina slipped her arm around his shoulder and whispered comfortingly, "Grandpa has always wanted to see you too, I'm sure he'll wake up." "I hope so."

Agustina didn't hold out much hope.

It was a matter of fate.

Paulina stayed with her mother at the hospital until it was dark, and then we returned to The Khan Family.

As soon as they walked in, they saw three children chasing each other, having fun.

"Grandma!"

Esteban is the first to see Agustina and immediately stops at her feet, his little face beaming with joy.

"Good boy." Agustina walked up to him and took his hand.

Sweety saw it and immediately ran to her, hugging her leg, "Grandma, hug!".

Agustina lost her smile and bent down to pick her up, "Yes, hug my Sweety."

"Auntie!" Bonnie called good-naturedly.

Agustina smiled and nodded as she carried Sweety into the living room and sat down.

While her mother was with the baby, Paulina went to the kitchen and found Edwina chopping vegetables.

"Edwina, are you going to cook?" she asked curiously as she approached.

Edwina turned her head and smiled at him, "It's really hard to get them to come here, I want to cook some dishes myself."

"Actually, it doesn't have to be that complicated." Paulina was a little puzzled, "We can eat whatever we want."

"Is this because you don't like my cooking?" asked Edwina, feigning discontent.

Paulina threw up her hands, "I didn't mean that."

Edwina laughed out loud, "I know."

She lowered her head and continued chopping the vegetables she hadn't finished, "Go sit in the living room, dinner will be ready soon."

"I'll help you." Paulina rolled up her sleeves and stood in front of the sink, picking up the vegetables that had been set aside and placing them in the sink before turning on the faucet. "Mistress Paulina, go sit down and wait, I'll do it."

Edwina tried to push her out of the kitchen, but it was as if she had roots in her feet, she couldn't push at all.

"It's okay, I'll help you with the dishes."

At Paulina's insistence, Edwina had to give in, "Okay then."

Neither of them noticed Dulce standing outside the kitchen.

Dulce smiled Dulce looked at the two with a special softness in her eyes.

She was truly relieved and happy to see them getting along so well.

At first she had tried everything she could to stop Edgar and Edwina from being together, which was really silly now that she thought about it.

If it were someone else, he wouldn't necessarily get along so well with Paulina, and the atmosphere in the house wouldn't be so warm.
