Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1469: Check someone out for me.
When he heard that the loan hadn't come down, Alvaro couldn't take the vacation and rushed to the office to inquire about the situation. "Bro, is Ingles Rodas working with Chris?"
"Yes." Marcos loosened his tie with one hand.
Alvaro let out a laugh, but his look was stern, "All these years working together and in the end choose someone else. The Englishman is so petty."
The emphasis on the word "petty" shows how unhappy he is with Ingles!
Seeing that his brother was still working calmly, Alvaro took a deep breath and let it out slowly, calming himself before asking, "Brother, did you expect this to happen?" Marcos' mouth curved, "I went to the golf course the other day and Chris was there. I saw it coming then."
"So, he's just going to leave?". Alvaro was resigned.
By turning around and choosing to work with Chris when he knew the Leoz Group needed the money, English was certainly not sticking up for the Leoz Group, his brother! The reality is infuriating!
"So what do you think needs to be done?" asked Marcos instead of answering.
"I want to find Ingles and ask him for clarification."
Marcos laughed softly, "If we do that, we'll just be making fools of ourselves. He will choose to work with Chris, who is obviously offering him a higher bid. Ingles, a man who has always been a realist, would do this completely understandably." "But..." Alvaro still couldn't swallow his anger.
"The most important thing we can do now is to contact the other banks." Marcos interrupted him, "The company needs funds for many of its projects and must get loans from other banks." Alvaro nodded, "I understand."
He turned to leave, when Marcos' voice sounded behind him again, "Send someone to keep an eye on Chris' project."
Hearing that, he looked back.
He heard Marcos continue, "Chris's project is big and needs a lot of money; it might not be good for Ingles to lend him so much money all at once."
Alvaro frowned, "Brother, what you mean is...."
"The log is in the bag, but it's not yet known if it will reach the sea." Marcos' mouth curved into an intriguing smile.
Alvaro instantly brightened, flashing a brilliant smile, "Brother, I see what you mean."
With those words, he left with a flourish.
The moment the door closed, the smile on Marcos' lips slowly faded and his expression sank, his dark eyes as deep as a pond, inscrutable.
Chris had deliberately targeted the Leoz Group since returning to China.
At first, he had thought it was due to a conflict of interest, but now it seemed that was not the case.
He pondered for a moment, then picked up the phone and dialed.
Before long, the other end picked up: "Prince."
Vega's voice came through the receiver.
Marcos' eyes narrowed and his voice trailed off, "Investigate someone for me."
"Go ahead."
"Cris, find out his family background and what he's done overseas."
"Prince, why do you suddenly want to investigate him?" Vega couldn't resist asking.
Marcos said in a light voice, "Investigating the enemy's background doesn't seem to require a reason."
"I understand, prince. Check it out right now."
After hanging up the phone, Marcos put it down on his desk, got up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window.
Outside, the sky was clear and the sun was shining brightly.
He slowly squinted; it was such a nice day for a family outing.
Soon.
Soon he could take Paulina and the kids out to play.
"What did you have in mind?"
Behind him, Paulina's voice rang out.
The dryness in Mark's heart turned to look at her and his whole being softened, "Thinking about when I'll be able to take you and the kids out."
"It must be soon."
Paulina walked over and wrapped her arms around his waist for a long moment before looking up at him and asking, "Did Alfredo tell me that the bank has chosen to work with Chris?" He nodded softly, "Yes."
"So the company will have liquidity problems?" asked Paulina worriedly.
"No problem for now." Mark said, "The loan hasn't come through, but the company's existing funds will last a while longer."
Paulina raised a hand to smooth his slightly frowning brow and advised, "Marcos, don't stress too much, with the strength of the Leoz Group, there will be banks waiting to work with us." Marcos rubbed his head and nodded with a smile, "That's for sure."
At that moment, Marcos' cell phone, resting on his desk, rang abruptly.
Paulina reached over and picked it up, looked at the caller ID and raised her eyebrows, it was Edgar.
Then she handed it to Marcos.
Marcos picked up the phone, "Edgar."
"Cousin's husband, I've been abroad for work the last few days and just got back to find out about the Leoz Group, I'm sorry I couldn't help in time."
"It's all right. It has already been solved."
"That's good. But I heard from the assistant that the bank loan didn't go through, right?"
Marcos emitted a faint "hmm."
"Is there a problem?" asked Edgar on the other end of the phone.
"I can't say for sure."
Edgar chuckled softly, "We'll talk about it later, when we meet. Feel free to call me if you need anything from me."
...
As soon as the bank loan arrived, Chris immediately earmarked the money to operate the project.
The Rawlins had a different take on it.
"Is it too risky for you to put all that money in at once?" Rawlins looked vaguely concerned.
Chris snorted, "If you want to do big business, don't be soft."
"It's not about being soft, it's about..." Rawlins sighed heavily, "Forget it, the money's in anyway, it's too late to say anything."
Chris patted him on the shoulder, "Don't worry. If I've put all the money in, I'm sure."
Rawlins took a sip of the wine in his hand and said nothing.
Chris stood up, "The leak had an impact on the Leoz Group, but as you can see, Marcos quickly stabilized the situation. Seeing that the Leoz Group is about to get back on track, it won't be easy for us once the Leoz Group is up and running." "I understand."
His fears were not at all what Rawlins feared, but the more this happened, the less of a rush he would be in.
Rawlins thought a moment before asking, "What's the status of the project now?"
"Everything is going very well. I think the product will definitely make a splash in the domestic and international market when it comes out in the future, and will even have an impact on existing smart products."
Chris sounded confident about the project.
Rawlins nodded, "That's good."
All the funds had been invested, and as long as the project was moving forward, it was more important than anything else.
