Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1609: I'm not your private detective

Over here, Winston contacted Wilson again, "Wilson, did you give Mr Hector the tea I gave you last time?"

"Winston, I was just about to call you about it, thanks to your tea this time."

Wilson smiled instantly as soon as he saw the caller ID.

He hadn't expected the plan to be picked up so much and had thought it was hopeless, but Hector had simply told him to go back and change it.

He put it all down to Winston's box of tea.

"You're welcome Wilson, but has Mr Hector had his tea yet, is he happy with it?" Winston asked again.

Wilson frowned, "Not yet, we just talked about work. Do you want to work with him, do you need me to make an introduction?"

"No, no, you don't need to mention my name, just think of it as you buying it yourself, I'm trying to work with you here, the Rogers Group side, you know we had a bad time before, no need to mention that." Winston hastened to stop him. What was the point of mentioning his name?

Wilson thought of the furore over the Rogers Group, of which Winston had been a part, and felt he shouldn't talk so much.

It was just as well that he had taken advantage of the two companies and didn't have to worry about Winston stealing his business.

He nodded at once, "Don't worry, I didn't say that."

"If, subsequently, you still need tea, you can tell me in advance, my friend still has some over there." Winston added.

"OK, thank you." Wilson smiled.

The two men chatted for a few more minutes before hanging up the phone.

After some thought, Wilson made another call, "Mr Hector, have you had the tea that was sent to you yesterday? How do you feel?"

Hector's eyes narrowed slightly, it didn't matter if Wilson and Winston had the same goal in mind.

The point was that the tea was being used as a front.

He said soberly, "Not bad."

"That's good, that's good, I wasn't sure if I was buying the right one, and now that you say it's good, I'm relieved."

He paused before turning the conversation back to business, "So... I've already changed the plan you mentioned yesterday, do you see when you're free and I'll make an appointment with you to discuss it again?" "You set a time with my secretary." Hector said.

Wilson soon received a reply from his secretary and went to see Hector in the afternoon.

As the two men sat down, Thomas came in with two cups of tea, "Young master, Wilson, please enjoy."

A fresh scent of tea hit Wilson, he was a little surprised, the scent of this tea, it must be the tea he sent yesterday!

"Thank you Wilson for the tea, our young master loved it." Thomas had a special taste.

Once Wilson heard it he said cheerfully, "A tea like this can only be matched by Mr Hector, a mere mortal like us would not dare to ask for it."

"Please." Hector made a gesture and took the first sip.

Wilson didn't notice anything different, and was a little pleased with himself, so he followed suit and took a sip from his cup of tea.

Seeing his somewhat contented look, Hector said nothing.

However, he was sure that Wilson was being used as a shield against robbery.

After a few words about work, Wilson left the Rogers Group with a smile on his face.

Downtown, inside the cafe.

"Winston, thanks for all your help, Mr Hector and I had a good talk this time." Wilson mentally crossed Winston into his list of trustworthy people and changed his title straight away. Winston was a little put off by the title but didn't show it on the surface, just nodded, "It's good to help Wilson, so Mr Hector did have tea did he?"

"Of course, I had a cup too and it was indeed good tea." Wilson said with some envy.

However, this tea was almost priceless, and even if you could buy it, few people would be willing to drink it.

At this, Winston could not help but despise Wilson even more, what a fool, he dared to drink it even if it was drugged.

Winston laughed: "If you both like it, it's not a waste of time. If you like it, I have a channel here and can introduce you to it, just mention my name when you get there." Wilson burst into laughter.

...

Rogers Group.

As soon as Wilson left, Hector contacted Joaquin and asked him to come to the Rogers Group.

Joaquin arrived and was rather bemused, "Mr Hector, what is it that you want from me again? I'm not your private detective who can be at your beck and call."

Hector ignored the snide remarks that he was bound to make every time they met and got straight to the point, handing him the tea sample with the drug and the test report. "What's this?" Joaquin took both items with a frown.

"Someone has poisoned my tea, this is the sample, and the composition analysis report."

Hector explained, "Chronic, hard to detect, and no less toxic than Eloise's virus."

At that, Joaquin's brow furrowed, "This is no small thing, it's a good thing you caught it early, otherwise the consequences would have been unthinkable."

"My guess is that this is most likely the result of research and development on the Bergerian side." Hector hit the nail on the head.

Joaquin understood what he was saying, "I've had him watched, he hasn't done anything recently, at most he's seen a few people he's working with, the rest of the time he's been going back and forth between home and work." He is not doing anything, but his ex-wife is doing a lot. His ex-wife seems to be trying to develop a market in the country, and it's all pharmaceutical related."

Hector frowned, "What about the contacts?"

"Close to people in the grey area privately, seems to be doing some kind of deal. Also, more frequent dealings with Blythe and Winston." Joaquin replied.
