Love Comes To Me
Chapter 326: The desire to cover up

After finishing with the housekeeper, Hector's mother turned her head, looked at Eloise and said, "You're staying here for the time being, so if you need anything or have anything you want to eat, you can just talk to me and make yourself at

home."

Eloise's heart warmed and she smiled and nodded, "Yes, thank you Aunty."

"You are sort of still in your little month, try to rest as much as you can, don't let yourself get tired, and get well is most important."

"Well, I'll be sure to pay more attention."

Hector's mother is genuinely concerned for her and Eloise is touched, even the little bit of anxiety in her heart disappears.

After speaking to Hector's mother, Eloise went back upstairs to her room to rest.

Just as I entered the room, the phone rang.

It's Egbert.

She rushed to pick up, "Alumni."

"Eloise, you're out of hospital?"

"Yeah. You're not looking for me at the hospital, are you?"

"You guess?"

Egbert stood in the empty ward and cried a little.

Eloise was a little embarrassed to have made him come all this way for nothing, "Alumni, I'm sorry I forgot to mention it to you."

"It's fine, you don't have to take it personally." Egbert said as he walked out of the ward, "It's good that you're out of hospital, so I can rest easy too."

"So where do you live now?" Egbert asked.

"Rogers family."

Hearing this answer, Egbert's feet hit the floor and his brow furrowed slightly, "Rogers family?"

"Hmm." Eloise walked over to the bed and sat down, asking, "Alumni, is there something you wanted to see me about?"

"I'll email you all the information on that company and the product will probably be sent to me in a few days, so I'll get it to you then." "What is the product?"

"Perfume."

At the sound of the perfume, Eloise couldn't help but smile and tease herself, "It seems I have quite a connection with these products."

She thought of the advertising campaign she had designed for Kevin earlier, which was not directly related to perfume, but Kevin's company had formerly been in the perfume business.

So, she more or less knows a thing or two about perfume.

Egbert knew she was remembering the advertising programme she had done for Kevin's company and smiled, "That's why the other side named you to do this campaign."

"People wouldn't have known about me without Alumni's recommendation."

Eloise is aware that she is not at all famous and is at best a competent advertising designer.

"That's only because you're capable and I'm recommending you."

Why are they suddenly just complimenting each other?

I'm afraid it will go on like this, endlessly.

So Eloise rushed to say, "Alumni, let's leave it at that. As soon as I've read the information, I'll start working on the proposal and the first draft will be shown to you first."

Egbert said "Yes", then turned to the subject and said, "I have made arrangements for your mother to be transferred to the hospital at any time."

When he visited her in hospital the other day, she mentioned that she was going to help transfer her mother back to the hospital in City J, so as soon as he got back he contacted the hospital over in City S and got the transfer all sorted out. At that, Eloise was pleasantly surprised, "Really?"

"Well, it can be transferred anytime."

"Thank you so much, Alumni."

It was as if she didn't know how to thank him other than thank you.

He helped her a lot, and she owed him a lot.

Even through the receiver, he could feel her happiness and Egbert couldn't help but raise the corners of his mouth.

As long as she's happy, what she's doing is worth it.

He had been asked if it was worth giving without getting something in return.

He didn't answer at the time because he didn't know what to say.

Now he knows.

As long as she is happy, even if there is no reward, it is worth it.

...

After hanging up the phone, Eloise looked around and furrowed her thin brows; how could she work without a computer?

Shall we ask Hector to get her a computer?

She was about to make a phone call when she saw Hector walk in with a laptop in his arms.

"How did you know I needed it?" Eloise's eyes were full of surprise.

He really was like Santa Claus, knowing what she needed most at all times.

"Didn't you have to help Egbert with a publicity package? So I brought the computer for you."

Hector put the computer on the bedside table and continued, "I'll allow you to work, but remember, work is contingent on you being well rested, okay?"

"Don't worry, I'll get plenty of sleep before I work." Eloise assured him with a pat on the back.

"If I catch you not resting and just working, I'll confiscate the computer." Hector snapped his face up and warned her in a particularly serious manner. Eloise frowned, a little less than pleased.

Because with her personality, she sometimes loses track of time when she's working and he's pushing it a bit.

"Eloise," Hector put his hands on her shoulders and looked down into her eyes, "I knew you liked working so I didn't stop you because I wanted you to be happy, so ..." "Don't say it." Eloise lifted her hand to cover his mouth, "I promise you I won't let work make me forget to rest."

Hector smiled and took her into his arms, his large palm gently caressing her back.

So reassuring.

Eloise leaned against his chest with her eyes closed, the steady sound of his heartbeat in her ears, one sound like a small ripple falling on her heart.

The atmosphere was warm as the two embraced each other in silence.

"Eloise."

Hector's mother's voice came suddenly, startling Eloise into pushing Hector away, like a child who has made a mistake, and looking towards the door in a panic. Hector frowned and looked at her somewhat helplessly.

Why does she look like a student caught in early love by a teacher?

Hector's mother walks in, surprised to see Hector there, and asks, "When did you get back?"

"Just now."

Hector's mother nodded and then looked over at Eloise, noticing the blush in her cheeks, a hint of recognition surfaced in her eyes and she asked with a smile, "Am I interrupting something?" "No, no, Auntie, it doesn't bother me at all."

Eloise answered quickly and amused Hector's mother by waving her hands in the air and looking eager to deny it.

"Why are you such a cute kid?"

Realising that she had been too quick to deny it, and that it felt like a cover-up, Eloise tugged awkwardly at the corners of her mouth before glancing sideways at Hector beside her. She was surprised to meet his dark eyes and was frightened to withdraw her gaze.

But in the next moment, chagrin.

Oh my God!

What the hell is she so shy about?

You're an adult, can't you just act like you're comfortable?

"Eloise, I've got the kitchen making soup, so go down and drink it while it's hot." Hector's mother said. "Good."

Eloise wanted to get out of here just in time, so, without looking at Hector, she hurried out with her head down. Watching her disappear in the doorway, Hector's mother said cheerfully, "I can't believe Eloise is so thin-skinned." Hector's brow twitched slightly, "Mum, from now on you try not to go into Eloise's room whenever I'm home." Hearing this, Hector's mother couldn't help but laugh, "You child, are you afraid of what your mother might see?" Hector does not make a sound.

Hector's mother laughed even more and promised, "Fine, fine, I promise, I'll leave you two alone from now on."
