Love Comes To Me
Chapter 345: Pulling teeth from a tiger's mouth

Hearing these words, Hector couldn't help but frown and inquire, "What's going on?"

Rupert said, "What else could it be? How much money and talent have we invested in this project?

What's more, once this chip is completed, it can almost affect the economic turmoil of a small country, so others will naturally covet it. In fact, last month, a group of people infiltrated our research base, only at that time, my sister-in-law was hospitalized to save Solomon, so I didn't tell you for fear of you worrying.

But the gang has been a bit too rampant the last two days and our men have been injured."

Hearing this news, Hector's gaze sank slightly and he said in a cold voice, "Have you found out who all the people are?"

At that Rupert nodded, "An Italian mafia organisation, the 'Hurricanes', and a foreign conglomerate, the Stephan Group, it seems they have chosen to join forces."

Knowing who was coming, Hector narrowed his eyes and a dangerous scent emanated around him.

He slowly got up and stood in front of the glass window, the moonlight falling along his figure, giving the illusion of a cold, murderous god.

Even though Rupert was some distance away, he still felt the chill and knew that his older brother was really angry.

It was only after a long time that Hector slowly spat out the words, the chill in the air unabated, "How dare you put your mind to my head, you have a lot of nerve."

"So what are we going to do next?"

Since Hector's return, Rupert has continued to be his flip-flopper, asking Hector for his thoughts on everything.

"You go and tell Brecc to make sure the data is protected, to spread the personnel out if necessary, and to send the chip away as soon as it's finished before someone finds it." Hector instructed coldly. Rupert nodded and was just about to turn away, but couldn't resist reminding him, "We've entered an eventful period recently, and there must be someone besides these two watching us.

I fear that people have been secretly sent to approach you and me, so special care must be taken in the meantime, especially for the safety of my sister-in-law and Solomon."

At that Hector nodded, and he happened to think of it too.

Looking down, he saw Rupert's still injured leg, and Hector spoke, "I'll send someone to protect them, and you should be safe when you go out these days."

"Don't worry brother, this little injury is nothing, I'm a big man and nothing will happen to me."

Rupert patted his leg playfully and limped off.

Immediately after he left, Hector dialled Thomas and asked him to send someone to protect Eloise and Solomon.

Hanging up the phone, Hector felt a little irritable for no apparent reason, so he lit up a cigarette.

Since getting back together with Eloise, he hadn't touched a cigarette because he was afraid that Eloise wouldn't like the smell of his smoking.

Just then there was a knock on the door and Eloise's voice came through, "Hector, can I come in? I've washed some fruit."

Hector smelled the cigarette butt in his hand and opened the study window to disperse the smell of smoke from the room, after which he went to open the door himself. Eloise enters the study, puts down the fruit in her hands and smells a faint hint of tobacco.

She knew that Hector only smoked when he was upset, so he must be up against something tricky.

Then he turned his head to look at him and took him in his arms, his soft voice coming out, "Hector, whatever happens there's still me, so don't put too much pressure on yourself." Knowing that she was worried about him, Hector's heart warmed and he hugged her tightly.

The two of them warmed up in the room for a while longer, and Eloise yawned as sleepiness struck.

She was still a bit jet-lagged from her recent return to China. Looking at her sleepy look, Hector rubbed the top of her hair and said, "Go and rest, I'll go to bed after I'm done."

As she spoke Eloise yawned again and she waved her hand, "Hector then don't stay up too late, get an early night, I'm going to go and sleep with Solomon."

Hector nodded and Eloise left.

Solomon had been waiting in his room early and was so happy when Eloise said she would sleep with him today, as normally Daddy would not give up Mummy to him.

When she returned to Solomon's room, Eloise saw Solomon sitting on the bed and smiled as she went over and rubbed Solomon's head, "Solomon's so good, are you waiting for Mummy?" When Eloise sat down, Solomon jumped right up and pouted in Eloise's arms, "Yes, Mummy, I thought you weren't coming back."

The two played for a while longer before Eloise drifted off to sleep with Solomon in her arms.

After another two hours, Hector moved his sore neck just in time to look up and see the clock on the wall.

It's already early in the morning.

Even though there was still some work to be done, Hector was now out of mind and just wanted to cuddle up to Eloise's soft body and go to sleep.

After a brief stretching of the body, a clicking sound could be heard coming from the bones.

Arriving in Solomon's room, Hector felt his heart fill with something at the sight of the two small and large figures on the bed.

He looked at both mother and son with tender eyes and vowed to watch over them.

Gently picking Eloise up, she returned to her room, washed up briefly and went to sleep.

The next morning, Hector had to go back to the office, after all, there was a whole lot of work to be done.

Looking at her sleeping, Hector couldn't resist leaving a kiss on the corner of her mouth.

Just at that moment Eloise woke up and hugged the man in front of her, spooning in his arms.

Hector patted Eloise on the head and said, "You stay home and rest, just so you can spend some time with Solomon and Mum now that you don't have any work to do, and I'll be back early tonight." At this Eloise nodded her head and sent Hector away reluctantly.

After Hector left, Rupert couldn't help but spit out, "Sister-in-law, I say can you and big brother separate the occasions, at least there's a single dog here eh, it's unbearable to be so mushy all the time." "Get a girlfriend back too if you can."

Before Eloise could reply, Hector's mother poured cold water over him.

...

Mum is really good at tearing things down.

Rupert bristled and stopped talking.

"Mummy, Grandma, I want to go shopping, I want to go out and play!"

After breakfast, Solomon started to make a lot of noise, and how could Solomon, already high on fun, stay in the house?

"I'm going too!"

On hearing the proposal to go out shopping, Rupert was the first to come out and second it.

Eloise was fine with it and looked back at Hector's mother, only to see Hector's mother take Solomon in her arms and say with a smile, "Fine, fine, wherever we go with Solomon, Grandma will go with Solomon."
