Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 539: To see the body alive and to see the body dead
At the same time, Hector's phone suddenly rang and a message was received. The two men looked at each other and both had a sense of what was going on. Rupert's heart thumped and he came forward.
What was sent to Hector's phone was a short video.
Hector twitched his fingers, lips pursed into straight lines, and tapped the video.
Agnes' open, ghostly laugh came first, and both brothers' bodies stiffened.
"Ahahahahaha, Eloise you have your day ... Go to hell!"
Hector's pupils instantly dilated at the sight of Eloise on the screen.
The heart pumped hard, tearing pain from the heart.
The video shows Eloise being thrown into the sea, her thin body floating in the cold water.
The pale, helpless face pierced Hector's last defence, a bloody blur of flesh and blood from all five organs.
The scene ends with Eloise being submerged in the sea and the screen goes black as the video ends.
Hector's eyes also darkened, his arms bruised, and everything in his field of vision was suddenly devoid of colour and only grey.
His senses were gradually stripped away, his blood was all but gone, and his heart felt as if a million swords had been driven through it.
The sharp blade penetrated his heart and blood spurted out of his veins, but it was also cold and the pain almost crushed him as much as it could.
He felt a frantic squeeze in his lungs as a myriad of emotions that tore at his heart burst forth, crushing him.
It finally transforms into a pale word that spills out.
"NO!!!"
Hector covered his heart and tried to reach for Eloise in a vision of pain.
What is encountered, however, is the air in this space.
The phone hit the floor with a thud and Hector stumbled and nearly fell to the ground.
The scene of Eloise sinking was fixed in his mind and his whole body froze in a powerful shock.
Rupert, on the sidelines, was not having a good time either and was clearly shocked.
"How did that happen?" He whispered. murmured, his face white.
He had imagined that Agnes would blackmail Eloise for a large sum of money, or perhaps she wanted something else.
But never in a million years did she expect that it was Eloise's life she wanted to take!
Eloise was thrown into the sea, which means it's likely to be two bodies in one ...
The idea, which dared Rupert to think any further.
He subconsciously raised his eyes to look at Hector and found his face, worse than dead.
The whole person, as if the three souls and seven spirits had been extracted, was dead.
The bottom of his eyes were heavy with despair and disbelief, and his tall body, no longer upright, staggered.
A look of uncertainty and fear crossed his features.
Black, Hector's world turned completely black.
His light, his hope, sank with Eloise into those cold waters, without seeing the light of day.
Rupert stepped forward and put his arm around him in silent comfort.
Suddenly Hector's halting eyes twitched and swept over to Rupert before something occurred to him.
He pushed Rupert away vigorously, turned and was about to rush out.
Rupert saw what was happening and stepped forward and grabbed Hector in a death grip, almost with all the strength of his life. "Brother, brother calm down, what are you going to do!"
Without a word, Hector peeled away Rupert's fingers and just lurched out with great force.
But Rupert was also a man, and their strength was equal.
Long fingers flexed with force, fingertips whitened, and seeing the action blocked, Hector snarled coldly, "Rupert, let go!"
At this point there was only one thought in his mind and that was that his Eloise was still in the sea and that was his life! He had to get her out!
The sea was so cold and it was so dark there, and she would have been so scared, alone.
After being called out by his full name, Rupert also continued to not let go, tugging desperately at Hector.
"No loose unless you tell me where you're going!"
Now that Eloise is on the ropes, he can't let anything more happen to Hector.
The blocked Hector's eyes went red for a moment and a glare gathered under them to support his actions.
A steady stream of power burst forth, allowing him to break free of Rupert's entanglement at once.
He turned back to Rupert and glared angrily, his eyes filling with blood red as he said in a near snarl, "Don't you stop me! Live and let die!"
As he shouted the words, Rupert was distinctly aware of his brother's hand trembling.
He was as desperate and distressed as anyone.
Rupert released his grip and watched as Hector took off at a pace towards the outside.
Hector's back is very depressed and vicissitudes, rendered with a strong sadness.
In fact Hector's heart felt as if it had been cut open at the moment.
Torn open hard and bloody, not a single flap is intact.
The thought of Eloise sinking into the sea made his brain explode with pain with every moment of breath.
He couldn't help but regret why he had left her side in the first place.
Why go so far for a mere Catherine.
It's none of his business what other people do or don't do!
He only wanted her to live, and he would have hated to go through all that pain himself if he could have offset his life. Remorse filled his heart and Hector could not forgive himself.
If he could do it all over again, he would never leave Eloise alone!
Hector closed his eyes as tears rolled down his face, pouring over the flaps of his porous heart, bringing searing pain.
A man's tears are not lightly shed, but he has not yet reached the point of grief.
The pain was so desperate that tears could not release him.
He prayed devoutly to heaven that the gods would not be so cruel.
After half a day, Hector got up.
"Eloise, wait for me." Mumbling with dry lips, Hector stepped hard on the ground and strode ahead.
After mobilising the salvage brigade, the party rushed to the spot where Eloise had fallen into the sea.
"Brother, why don't you go back first and wait for the news, I'll let you know when there are results."
Rupert saw that Hector was in a very bad state of mind and tried to persuade him to return on his way to the sea.
With that said, Hector didn't even think twice about rejecting Rupert's offer.
"I'm going, Eloise and the baby are waiting for me!"
He was in a bit of a trance and kept repeating the phrase Eloise was waiting for me.
Rupert wanted to say something else, but was met with a cold, stern glare and had to swallow all his words of persuasion.
Later, Hector herded Rupert to the other end and sat himself down on one side.
He looked far ahead, his eyes empty, soulless and emotionless.
The frozen eyes did not move until they reached the dock.
Hector glanced into the azure sea with its roaring waves.
The sound of the tsunami took him at once to the scene where Eloise sank to the bottom of the sea.
Suddenly Hector sprang out like a madman, his hand reaching forward to grab something.
