Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 573: Meeting her in person
"Come in."
Hector pressed two fingers to the sides of his nose, raised his eyes slightly to Thomas and asked, "What is it?"
At the end of the sentence, Thomas' eyes wavered with excitement and his voice trembled a little.
He said, word for word, "Prince, we've found out where Agnes is!"
Thomas' face involuntarily radiated a smile, knowing full well what this meant to Hector.
The blood in his own body boiled first when his subordinates reported the news to him.
Then couldn't wait to run over and inform Hector of the news.
Thomas's voice fell to the ground and Hector's pupils jerked, the empty, cold study instantly tinged with a stern colour.
"Are you sure? Did you get the man?"
The mouse in his hand was about to be shattered by his grip, as his throat moved slightly and his tone was wrapped in a sinister and compelling fury.
A while ago, Thomas reported a sighting of Agnes in western France, and he ordered them to continue the pursuit.
I didn't expect the news to come so quickly this time.
It's a great way to find it!
This time he will definitely show Agnes what it means to live and die!
For three years, he hadn't had a good night's sleep.
When he closes his eyes, his dreams are full of Agnes pushing the love of his life to the bottom of the sea.
That suffocating despair, which he had experienced for three years.
This time, he'll give it all back to Agnes!
Thomas nodded and gave an affirmative answer, "It's true, our men have her, now they are just waiting for your orders on what to do with her?"
A hint of sharpness flooded Hector's clear black eyes, and with a stifled grunt, his palm slammed down heavily on the table.
Cold ice hardened under his eyes, intertwined with the endless anger that rose up and evoked a creepy aura all over.
With those words, Hector rose straight from his chair, frost and hatred falling from under Ken's eyes.
Like a demon from hell, he instructed Thomas in a cold voice, "Of course we should treat her well and have someone keep a good eye on her.
If she runs away again, we'll kill her other leg too! But be careful not to play her to death, and we'll leave for France at once! I want to meet her myself!" "Good, then I'll go and book the earliest flight."
Naturally Thomas understood the meaning of Hector's words and, not daring to be slow, quickly went down to make the arrangements.
After he left, Hector also stopped what he was doing.
Pulled in my suitcase, simply packed a few clothes and prepared to fly to France.
The anger that burns in his heart drives him to revenge, not wanting to wait a minute longer.
Downstairs, Rupert comes home from his office visit in a happy mood, humming a little tune.
In the living room, Mrs Matriarch comes out from the kitchen side, with a fruit plate and a freshly brewed cup of refreshing tea.
Rupert took off his suit jacket, walked over, forked a piece of apple with a toothpick and chewed it into his stomach, and casually asked, "Mom, where's my brother?"
Mrs Matriarch instructed her youngest son, "Upstairs in the study working, take the tea and fruit up to your brother, he's been working all afternoon, give him a break."
"Mrs Matriarch, you're being biased, I don't usually see you preparing afternoon tea and fruit for me, I'm very busy and tired too."
Rupert spat with a pompous expression as he took the plate.
"What are you talking about? I didn't prepare what you just ate, nor did I prepare what you ate yesterday and the day before? Come on. Don't be silly, are you going or not, I'll go myself if not." Mrs Matriarch gave her youngest son a blank look and said in an unpleasant manner, before grabbing the plate and serving it up herself.
"Hey hey, I didn't say I wasn't going, stop, brother's coming down, no need to go."
Catching a glimpse of Hector coming down the stairs, Rupert moved his mouth in his direction.
The two men looked in unison in the direction of the stairway.
"Brother, Mom told you to eat... ugh, no, what are you doing with the suitcase?"
Rupert was going to greet Hector and come over for a bite to eat.
When he saw the suitcase his brother was carrying, his face changed slightly and he wondered out loud.
Hector lifted his leg and walked over to the two men, standing still in front of them, and said in a deep voice, "I'm going back to France." His jaw was taut and his expression looked a little stern.
Mrs Matriarch and Rupert froze on the spot and asked in unison, "Didn't you just get back? Why are you leaving so soon?"
Of these, Rupert was most anxious.
Before Hector could say anything, he asked sharply, "Brother, aren't you going to my wedding? What are you doing back in France now?"
Patting Rupert on the shoulder, Hector gave him a determined look.
"Of course I'll be there, I'll be back on your engagement day, going to France because my people reported finding Agnes in France and I'm going back to take care of it."
When he spoke of the reason for going to France, his face turned hard and he pronounced Agnes' name almost through clenched teeth.
Hearing Agnes' name again after three years, Mrs Matriarch's and Rupert's expressions changed slightly, tinged with mixed emotions.
For a while, the atmosphere became oppressive.
Mrs Matriarch stood by, wanting to say something but too afraid to do so.
Rupert looked at his brother's expression and couldn't help but speak up, "Brother, I know you've been holding a grudge about what happened back then. But you mustn't be impulsive, think about Solomon, he's still young ..." He was worried that Hector would do something illegal in a fit of anger.
When the time comes, even the Rogers family, no matter how powerful, will not be able to save him.
And he was even more worried that after Hector's revenge, with no obsession in his heart, he would go on as decadent as he had been three years ago.
Taking in Mrs Matriarch and Rupert's worry, Hector said slowly, "Don't worry, you guys, Eloise hasn't been found yet, I'm not going to kill her."
He poked the window right through and put their concerns out in the open.
Rupert's eyes fluttered as he looked at the scarlet look of his brother's eyes.
That's not appeasing them at all.
He sighed silently in his mind, there was only one person in the world who wanted to stop Hector's madness.
But that person is no longer there...
In a flash, deep sorrow came up from the bottom of my heart.
"I'll be back soon, and Solomon will be in your care for a while." Hector added to them.
Seeing this, and knowing that Hector's mind was made up, Mrs Matriarch and Rupert had no choice but to compromise and admonish him. "Alright then, be careful and come back early."
In between speaking, a text message popped up on Hector's phone.
It was Thomas who sent over the flight information.
After putting away his phone and speaking to the two men, Hector strides off in the direction of the door.
