Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 587: Daddy will get her back
When she saw the cake shop in front of her, the little girl took Solomon's hand and ran straight in, ignoring the two adults behind her. When Eloise and Rowson entered, they could not help but hold their foreheads when they saw the cake on the waiter's tray beside them. These two were ordering all the individual items.
But by the look on Solomon's face, it must have been Sweety alone who ordered all these cakes.
Eloise saw this and walked over to Sweety and said in a stern tone, "Sweety you are too young to eat so much sugary cake, be careful of breaking your teeth." "No way, my brother ordered all of this, I'm just keeping him company." Sweety said with a pout.
Seeing Sweety's hard mouth, Eloise sulked and said, "Lying children don't grow taller, and if you do, Mummy won't like you."
Seeing that Eloise was really angry, Sweety had to lower her head and admit her mistake.
"Mummy, Sweety knows it's wrong, so I'll just take two cakes."
"Mummy, I really did order all of these, so don't blame Sweety." Solomon argued as he stepped in front of Sweety.
Looking at the little girl being scolded, Solomon really couldn't look away.
Seeing that Solomon was backing him up, Sweety was back in full force.
There was really nothing Eloise could do with her, so she paid for them all.
After getting the cake of her choice, Sweety couldn't wait to start tasting it.
The little girl ate with great enjoyment and Eloise couldn't help but be driven by her appetite.
Taking a small sip from a piece of cake, Eloise couldn't help but frown.
This cake is too sweet and snoozy.
A sudden memory flashed through her mind; she remembered that someone had also said they didn't like sweets before.
Looking at Rowson eating beside her, Eloise couldn't help but think of the man...
After eating the cake, Solomon took Eloise to a few more places they had visited before.
But to Solomon's dismay, Eloise still didn't remember anything.
Seeing that it was getting dark, Solomon said goodbye to a few people.
Sweety hugged Solomon reluctantly, just as the Rogers family driver came and picked up Solomon.
Sweety was still looking out as the car drifted away.
Retracting Sweety's gaze, Eloise picked her up and said, "Well, brother's gone, so we should get back too."
On the other side, Solomon sat in the car, not in a very high mood.
Throughout the day, Mummy was not so resistant to his touch, but he was a bit overwhelmed by the seeming detachment and strangeness.
Solomon was envious as he watched Sweety pampering herself with her.
He wanted to be like Sweety and cuddle up in Mummy's arms, but he knew that would scare her.
The more the heart longs for it, the sadder it becomes.
When he got home, Solomon locked himself in his room straight away.
Sitting on the bed, my mind couldn't help but think back to the first few years with Eloise.
That was when he was happiest.
He can express his little caprices with Eloise with impunity and can think nothing of it.
Today everything is a luxury for him.
When it was time for dinner, Mrs Matriarch tried to go up to call Solomon and was stopped by Mr Fletcher.
He could see that Solomon was down today and if they went up to him, they were likely to trigger his fragile emotions.
After all, it was he himself who went to Eloise today; no one else was aware of the situation.
Mrs Matriarch glanced worriedly at the room upstairs and stopped anyway.
After a while, Mrs Matriarch quietly went upstairs to listen and Solomon's room was silent, not a sound.
This frightened her greatly and just then the door downstairs opened and Hector came in.
Mrs Matriarch rushed downstairs and said, "Hector, you're finally back, Solomon has locked himself in his room and we don't dare to disturb him." Hector sniffed and glanced upstairs and said soothingly, "It's okay, I'll go up and have a look, don't you guys worry about it."
After changing into his shoes, Hector knocked on Solomon's door.
Softly, he said, "Solomon, it's Daddy, can I come in and talk to you?"
There was no sound in the room, and Hector, in no hurry, stood in front of Solomon's door.
Ten minutes later, the sound of rustling shoes came from inside.
The door was opened and Hector saw Solomon's somewhat red and swollen eyes.
Heartbroken, he gently picked Solomon up and walked into the room.
Looking at Solomon like this, it was possible to tell how Solomon's day was going.
As father and son sat on the bed, Hector held Solomon in his lap and whispered soothingly, "It's okay Solomon, we still have a chance.
Let's take our time, it's not a rush, don't worry, even if Mummy can't think of anything, Daddy will get her back."
Solomon didn't say a word at his words, but buried his head in Hector's neck and wrapped his arms tightly around it.
Over the years, Solomon has rarely spilled the beans with Hector.
This is the only time since Eloise disappeared.
Hector could feel Solomon's helplessness at the moment and he hugged him heartily, giving him his father's love.
God is willing to play tricks on them. It was so hard to find the person of their dreams, but now they are in the same situation.
Was the reunion that hard for Hector?
After a few more moments in Hector's arms, Solomon lifted his head and said, "Daddy, I have to go to Mummy tomorrow, she doesn't reject me now and I'm sure I'll bring her back to her memory." Hector gave Solomon's head a reassuring stroke and said approvingly, "Not bad for my Hector's son, Daddy's rooting for you."
At these words, Hector held out his fist, and Solomon, seeing this, clenched his fist in a similar fashion and clinked it with Hector.
It was a pact that belonged to their father and son, and a trust between men.
The following day, Solomon packed himself up early, grabbed a few desserts and headed out.
Arriving at the agreed location with Eloise, Solomon was the first to wait here.
After a while, he saw Sweety bouncing towards him and Solomon rushed to meet her.
Handing out the dessert from his pocket to Sweety, he proceeded to say a polite hello.
Eloise smiles in response.
Today Solomon took Eloise to the Oceanarium where they had been before and Solomon introduced her to what they had been doing before.
But Eloise remains unimpressed.
At the end of the day, Solomon felt like his mouth was going to be dry, but Eloise was still not very responsive.
Leaving Solomon with a strong sense of frustration.
After a few more days, Solomon would show up every day on time to talk to Eloise about the old days, but each day was not as productive as he would have liked.
Hector also asks Solomon every day how they are progressing, but can't help but press on a bit when he hears what Solomon has to say.
At this rate, Eloise will be back in France sooner or later.
At that point, many things won't be so convenient, so something has to be thought of at the moment.
