Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 589: These, do you remember?
Eloise calmed down when it came to this, it was not practical to jump out of the car when you were already on it.
After sitting in the car for a while, Eloise felt the soreness and weakness in her body fade quite a bit and she could move her fingertips. It's just that such behaviour would not have pleased Eloise in any way.
With a cold, pretty face, she turned her head away from the window and wouldn't look at Hector.
The switches are all on the driver's seat and if Hector doesn't press them, the only way she can get out is to smash the glass.
Stopping slowly at a red light, Hector turned his head to see Eloise looking reluctant to talk to him, and his heart sank a little.
But when I think of Solomon, I feel that I have to keep trying and I must not give up halfway.
The atmosphere in the car was silent, so he took the opportunity to speak, plucking at the perfume hanging from the car's front mirror and saying quietly, "Do you remember this scent? At the time you said you loved this perfume, it was called Lost Love."
Eloise took a subconscious sniff and felt a light fruity woody scent.
A little sour on the first sniff, then Sweety's, indeed the type she would like.
But she really didn't want to dwell on this issue with Hector, or to be precise, Hector as a whole.
Looking into Hector's affectionate eyes makes her feel heartbroken at times.
People are creatures that tend to avoid harm, and anyone who likes to eat sweetness does not like to taste bitterness.
Even if they did have something before, what would that do?
Time can only go forward, it can never go backwards.
Eloise gritted her teeth slightly, forcing herself to calm down and not be ruled by those inexplicable and sour emotions.
She opened her mouth for a moment and then felt speechless.
Hector's heart fluttered and he had to move over a little more when the green light came on and the car behind him honked its horn a few times in displeasure.
This prodding caused Hector to withdraw his leaning position and continue to concentrate on driving.
About another twenty minutes passed before we finally reached our destination.
Eloise was surprised, wasn't this the same rental house that Solomon had brought her to the other day?
What was this man doing bringing himself here?
Her face changed slightly but she hid it well.
Allowing Hector to get out of the car first, he pulled the door open for her.
Eloise was in no hurry to go down and tilted her head slightly to look at Hector.
"What did you bring me here for? If there's nothing else, please take me back. If you don't want to, I can fight it myself."
Hector smiled slightly, but was very calm, "Coming here, naturally, I want to jog your memory, it won't take you too long. Give me a chance, will you? I'll send you back in a moment and never do anything too much." You can rob someone from the women's bathroom and still say you're not overdoing it, Eloise bellyached.
But one is already here, and there is little point in posing as a pretentious deadbeat.
With that she took a step forward, slapped Hector's outstretched hand away and stood up sharply, dropping her eyes to the hut in front of her.
Surely we'll do it again...
Eloise's fingertips curled and she gently pushed the door open.
The door was old and creaked under her hands.
The sun shines in at an angle but only illuminates a small clearing.
She stood in front of the door, not intending to enter.
As if reading her thoughts, Hector closed the door with one hand and gently explained, "No one else, I wouldn't allow anyone else in this house except Solomon and you, I take care of it all myself." The way he closed the door made Eloise a little wary, but she couldn't put too strong a point on it, so she pretended to make light of the situation and said, "Leave the door open, I want to ventilate." Hector sniffed and took two quick steps to the white window and opened it, explaining it impeccably.
"Just open the window, look at this window and the picture you put up before."
Eloise subconsciously looked over at the words, and sure enough there were two round, crimson paper cut-out painted fish on the white, clear glass window.
Her head suddenly buzzed as if someone was speaking gently.
"We're going to put this up for New Year's Eve, okay?"
She shook her head hard, as if to shake these strange and familiar memories out of her mind.
Hector had been looking at her slightly expectantly and when he saw that she was in a bit of a trance, he helped her sit down on the edge of the bed and asked with great concern, "Are you not feeling well?" Eloise's hand swung to avoid him, but inadvertently touched a small lamp on the wall.
There was a snap and the small light came on, giving off a pale but soft glow.
Although not dazzling in the daytime, I'm sure it would be a delightful little night light for its owner at night.
Hector saw it and also said with some emotion, "You told me back then that you got up early in winter and didn't want to turn on the headlights, saying that the white misery was seeping.
After reading a few more ghost stories and not being able to sleep at night without the lights on, I just bought this for you, it's beautiful projected on the wall at night."
With some anticipation, and some fear, he added softly, "All this, do you remember?"
Eloise's hand paused for a moment, and for some reason, a subtle intolerance came over her in that moment.
The mind is also dizzy, as if it had been drinking a bottle of wine, and many things float out and sink back down.
She tried to reach out and try to touch it when she felt a sharp pain.
A stifled grunt and a fine layer of sweat grew on his bare forehead.
Hector didn't dare to push her too hard and hurriedly took the person in his arms, patting her spine gently and comforting her, "Don't think about it if you feel pain. Let's not even think about it, we have lots and lots of time ahead of us, I just want you to stop pushing me away and not leave me, okay?"
His words were like sigh after sigh, and Eloise's brain was like a pinprick, and no words could come out.
It took Eloise a few minutes to slow down, feeling Hector's scent envelop her so thickly that the warmth was simply lingering.
Eloise squeezed her palms and tried to get up to break the ambiguity.
But Hector still held her firmly, and only after a long time did he whisper, "Don't move, let me hold you for a while, just a while, okay? How many times have I seen this in my dreams, and every time I wake up, there's no one around." Eloise, intuiting that she would really go soft if she listened any longer, lashed out and tipped the man over, only to be hugged from behind by Hector again.
Hector took a deep breath and Eloise could sense that he was trying to suppress some kind of deep sadness.
His breath was hot and his speech grew slower with grief.
"Maybe you don't remember anything, but I remember the movie we watched together and the flowers I gave you."
