Love Comes To Me
Chapter 618: Mummy Don't Go

The teacher replied without a smile, "What else, another Solomon?"

Eloise's heart immediately lifted and she hurriedly asked after him, "What happened to Solomon? How did he end up in hospital?"

The teacher, who had been angry at the irresponsibility of the parents, saw the anxious look on Eloise's face and stopped counting her out.

"Solomon's classmate was walking down the stairs at school this morning when he was accidentally knocked down by a classmate next to him and fell down the stairs.

The teachers and I took him to the hospital and the tests came back saying that the bones were misaligned."

Eloise listened and her face went white with fear then.

She clenched her lips, her mind buzzing and suddenly blank.

When she didn't say anything, the teacher couldn't help but complain, "We contacted Solomon's father at school, but we couldn't get through to him after a long time, I really don't know how you can be parents, you are his mother, right?" "I'm his mummy, which hospital did you just say Solomon was in?"

Almost out of the blue, Eloise looked anxiously at the teacher, her eyes deeply worried.

The teacher was slightly stunned for a moment and subconsciously read out the name of the hospital.

"Our director is accompanying us over at the hospital, so contact her when you arrive."

With that, he gave Eloise a string of numbers.

After writing down the number, Eloise turned abruptly and hastily hailed a taxi to the hospital.

When we arrived at the hospital, we contacted the teacher who was guarding the ward.

Eloise explained her intentions and was taken to Solomon's ward.

"Sensei, how is Solomon, is he hurt badly?"

Now Eloise is desperate to know what has happened to Solomon.

"It's hard to say, the bone was indeed misaligned and because there was no family member, Solomon was not allowed to have surgery and was treated strictly conservatively. That is, manual repositioning combined with external fixation, let's see how the later treatment works."

The teacher said, with a light worry lacing her brow.

Seeing that Eloise's eyes were slightly red, the teacher said, "Solomon is still very brave and understanding, he didn't even cry when the doctor helped him to correct the pain.

Every word, to Eloise's ears, sounded as if it had been lodged in a thorn.

The tips of my fingers trembled slightly and my heart was moved.

Children who are praised for their bravery and understanding have been through many trials and tribulations to become like this.

She wondered what Solomon had gone through to become the good-natured and reclusive person he was today.

With a vague feeling of unease at the bottom of her heart, she was afraid that Solomon had caused this to happen to herself.

If she could, she would prefer Solomon to remain a child's innocence.

Like a child of this age should be poised, when it's time to cry, it's time to cry.

Walking up to the door of a ward, the teacher's finger said, "Here it is, you can go in."

Gathering her thoughts, Eloise nodded, rested her fingertips on the door handle and gently pushed open the ward door.

The ward was empty, except for the middle bed where Solomon was curled up alone.

He has immobilisers on both sides of one leg, which appear to be devices to correct bone misalignment and also to immobilise the affected part to reduce labour. But even a slight misalignment of a bone can cause great pain.

Adults don't always put up with it, let alone children.

At this point, Solomon's forehead was seeping with cold sweat and his face was in pain, but he kept his teeth from screaming out.

As one leg cannot move about, it folds its body in an odd position, with its head hanging slightly.

The hand tugging at the sheet is white at the fingertips from excessive force.

A tiny one, curled up on the bed, holding back the pain, it is heartbreaking to watch.

The scene stung the softest part of Eloise's heart and she hid her mouth as tears welled up.

"Mummy?"

Solomon, who heard the movement, looked up and saw Eloise in the doorway with a slight lag.

The corner of his mouth lifted in search of a big smile, happy as could be.

"It's really Mummy, Solomon has been waiting for Mummy for a long time and knew she would come and see me."

Excitement shone on her small, pale face.

With that, he moved his body towards Eloise, but the movement accidentally touched the affected area, causing him to grimace in pain.

Eloise looked even more heartbroken.

Panicked, he went over and held Solomon down, "Solomon hurry up and stay put, I'm sorry I'm late."

Eloise said, her eyes reddening and darkening a little.

Solomon could see Eloise's concern and pulled a smile to reassure her, "I'm fine, Mummy, he didn't mean to hit me either.

By now he should be confessing and the doctor says I'll be well soon."

"How can you be fine when you're sweating so much! Is a little confession going to make up for the injuries you've sustained? Don't you know you can't run around in the stairwell? What if you get a disability? What the hell!" Eloise's voice couldn't help but rise a few degrees as she raised her eyes.

It was a protective look.

But looking at Solomon's sweaty face, he couldn't bear to say anything else.

"Forget it."

She sighed deeply.

This child has been a disaster this month, I don't know what happened.

Not long after being discharged from the hospital, he came back in.

Looking at Solomon's frail figure, Eloise got up and went to fetch a basin of water.

Moisten a towel and carefully wipe the sweat off his forehead.

Solomon is half lying on the bed, his eyes slightly narrowed and a light smile on his lips.

In a soft voice, Eloise called out in a low voice, her eyes clinging.

"Mummy."

"What's wrong?"

Eloise replied subconsciously, looking up at Solomon.

"Nothing."

Solomon laughed softly, his heart bursting with joy and ripples swirling under his eyes.

Eloise arches her eyebrows in confusion.

As he pondered whether he had gotten something on his face, there was a grunt from the ward.

Solomon blushed slightly and covered his stomach in embarrassment.

Eloise smiled lightly and said, "Have you not eaten? I'll go and get you dinner up."

He made a move to leave.

When he stood up, the corner of his shirt was tugged and he looked back into Solomon's brilliant starry eyes. "Mummy don't go, in fact the teacher has just bought me food, I didn't eat as I didn't have an appetite."

With that he pointed to the boxed lunch on the table next to him and said to Eloise, "Will Mummy eat with me?" The look on her face, afraid that if she left she wouldn't come back, made Eloise's heart sink.

She walked over and picked up the box, which was still somewhat warm.

Open it and pour out a little of the porridge.

Splitting the bowl of porridge with Solomon to finish it.

Solomon was in a much higher mood thanks to Eloise's company.

The pain in her leg was forgotten as she happily told Eloise about school.
