Love Comes To Me
Chapter 658: I'm going to get my blood drawn

Hector took her slender hand in a backhanded grip, tightening it.

The nurse came quickly from the other end of the corridor with the good news: the blood type was a match and available.

Eloise's eyes lit up for a moment and she drew her hand out, saying to Hector, "I'm going to draw blood, don't worry, Solomon will be fine."

The eyes are clear and firm.

Hector was fascinated by this, and the large hand resting at his side was clasped in a faint grip as he looked deeply at her and returned with a mute voice, "Mmm." Eloise then followed the nurse to have her blood drawn.

She did not feel any pain when the needle was inserted into her veins, but felt a lot more at ease.

She was thankful that her blood could save that sweet child.

If something were to happen to Solomon, she would be devastated.

Strangely enough, the feeling came overwhelmingly, as if Solomon was a part of her separated from her flesh and blood.

When you lose it, the pain is unbearable.

But it could also be because Solomon is just so cute.

"Are you okay?"

The nurse asked hesitantly, and as the blood was drawn, Eloise's face paled at a rate visible to the naked eye.

No wonder, she is so thin.

Eloise shook her head with white lips, "It's fine."

But the next second she began to feel a little cold and couldn't help but wince.

"Is the air conditioning too low in your place."

"There's no cold air in here." The nurse answered her.

Immediately afterwards, she was told that this was due to the weakness of her body as a result of the blood draw.

This means that only so much blood can be drawn, any more and something will go wrong.

But Eloise didn't want to care what happened to her body and just asked stubbornly, "Is that enough?"

"800ml, not really enough, but it is unusual for people to donate blood, just 400ml at most, and then draw it ..." the nurse hesitated to speak out.

Eloise saw the look on the nurse's face and said flatly, "It's okay, keep pumping, I'll hold out."

The nurse wrinkled her eyebrows in disapproval, "You won't be able to physically support yourself if you pump any more, I understand how you feel, but please do it within your means." Eloise sniffed and Thur pursed her lips, looking pathos.

"Please, something really can't happen to him, my blood is nothing, I can still make it up when I get back, but he can't wait."

As long as Solomon is healthy, even if it drains her, she won't say another word.

She looked so sad, yet a flame burned under her eyes, and she just looked at the nurse pleadingly.

The nurse didn't dare look her in the eye and refused stiffly, "You really can't pump any more, you know 800cc is the limit."

"I promise nothing will happen, please save the baby, he's so young."

Said Eloise with tears glistening in her eyes.

Seeing her sincere look, the nurse was torn.

On the one hand, if there wasn't enough blood, the operation might actually fail, and on the other hand, she just couldn't do it anymore. "Please, Solomon is still in the operating room waiting for me to save his life." Eloise pleaded bitterly.

The words made up the nurse's mind and she sighed, "Well then, if it's really hard you just say so and I'll stop immediately." Eloise nods gratefully.

"Thanks."

The nurse looked at her with gratitude and mixed feelings.

She couldn't stop a distraught mother from doing everything she could to save her son in the ward, who was still alive and dying.

With a silent mental sigh, the nurse's movements continued.

After another 400 ml of blood had been drawn, Eloise's forehead oozed cold sweat and her hands and feet trembled slightly.

The nurse saw that it was almost time to stop.

Eloise said weakly, "Hurry up and save Solomon, please!"

The operating theatre cannot wait, a minute's delay may be a life.

She gets it, and the nurse gets it even better.

Footsteps sounded and Eloise, who was leaning against the wall taking a breather, opened her eyes.

It is Hector who enters, his heart fluttering at the sight of Eloise's appearance, his steps quickening as he approaches, his dark eyes full of concern. "How are you?"

Eloise took a deep breath and curled her mouth, grudgingly.

"It's fine, I'm in good health, it won't hurt to draw that little bit of blood."

Even a normal adult man would not be able to withstand more than a thousand cc of blood being drawn.

Not to mention, Eloise's not-so-strong body.

Hector's gaze slid over her beaded forehead, her pale cheeks and lips, her slightly trembling hands, and a dull ache in his heart.

Lifting his hand, he carefully wiped the beads of sweat from the corner of her forehead with his sleeve, his voice raspy.

"Thank you, Eloise, thank you."

"No need to tell me thank you, I saved Solomon willingly."

She did not want to leave any regrets.

Hector's dark eyes were heavy and fixed on her, almost overflowing with emotion.

Avoiding his gaze, Eloise's eyelashes fluttered as she reminded him, "There's no one outside the operating room, and Solomon will be sad if he comes out and doesn't see you." At this Hector nodded his head, intending to leave.

"I'll go with you."

Eloise also stood up, but a blackness came over her eyes and she hurriedly stood holding on to the wall.

Hector reached out and held her steady, saying in a deep voice, "Don't you go, rest here."

Her face was blue and white and just a little worse for wear.

Knowing that it was because of the blood draw, Hector felt a little more gratitude and guilt.

"It's okay, I can." Eloise didn't want to be left alone and insisted on going over together.

Unable to resist her, Hector had no choice but to agree.

The two men arrived outside the operating theatre, the doors closed and the blood-red 'in surgery' made it difficult to sit still.

Eloise stood against the wall, looking sideways at the man beside her.

Hector's thin lips were pursed, his dark eyes were devoid of emotion, but the hand at his side was unconsciously squeezed tight. The face was terrible, as if he was the one who had his blood drawn.

This man's heart, I'm afraid, is in turmoil.

There was the slightest hint of helplessness on his normally cold face.

Even a powerful man like Hector is helpless in the face of an accident.

Eloise was not feeling well.

It's not a look I'd like to see on Hector's face, he's supposed to be calm and self-possessed.

Instead, it is full of powerlessness and frustration, as it is now.

She suddenly stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Hector.

"Don't worry too much, Solomon will be fine."

Eloise softly reassured, patting him on the back as if to soothe Solomon.

Then prepare to exit.

But Hector lifted his arms and took her fragrant, warm body hard in his arms.

The person he had been thinking about day and night was finally in his arms, and Hector didn't have a single stray thought.

He thought of nothing but the silence of holding the person in his arms.

Eloise's body froze in his tight embrace and her heartbeat accelerated. Woodenly, he allowed Hector to hold him in his arms, his mind going blank.

It must be hard for him to push him away now. It's already painful because of Solomon, would it be too cruel to do so? Eloise's mind was torn by a myriad of thoughts.

Before she could get an accurate answer, however, Hector spoke in her ear, his hot breath puffing and tickling a little.
