Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 661: I am willingly
When he said yes, the little girl was so happy that she kissed Hector on the cheek.
Immediately afterwards Sweety lay dutifully in Hector's arms, and within a few moments there was the sound of even breathing. Looking at her sleeping face, Hector's heart was indescribably content.
At some point, drowsiness struck and Hector followed suit.
Later in the evening, Eloise opened her eyes, feeling less uncomfortable, and turned her head to see an extremely welcoming scene.
Hector was seen leaning over the bed, with a small, doughy kohl in his arms.
The two of them were so asleep that Eloise didn't want to break the mood.
The sun hits Hector's face just right, setting off his whole person in the slightest hint of light.
Sweety cowered in Hector's arms, a tiny one, and slept soundly.
His slanting shadow, falling on the wall, was like a protective presence.
Eloise saw this and took a coat and covered the two of them, then gingerly got out of bed.
When she arrived at the door of Solomon's hospital room, she looked at the little boy sleeping on the bed and a wave of pain went through Eloise's heart. She hated the thought of having to go through this pain for him.
Eloise just leaned over the door and watched the inside through the small window without blinking.
Without realising it, a cold liquid slid past the corner of her eyes and a large warm hand wiped away the tears from the corner of her eyes.
Eloise looked back and at some point, Hector stood behind her.
Draped the jacket she was wearing over her.
"I'm sure Solomon will be fine, don't worry about Eloise, if he can't pull through this then he doesn't deserve to be my Hector's son." Hector said as he wrapped Eloise tightly in his arms.
Sweety also ran over at this point and took Hector and Eloise's hands.
Nurse said, "Mommy and Daddy, let's wait for brother together, I'm sure he'll wake up."
Seeing how understanding Sweety was, Eloise smiled and stroked the top of Sweety's hair, saying softly, "We're in this together." From a distance Rowson saw the scene and just felt the sting of it.
Glancing at the tonic in his hand, Rowson's heart rose with a touch of bitterness.
He was worried about Eloise's condition and thought he would take the opportunity of a shift change to come and look after her. But at this point it feels redundant.
But Eloise is his wife anyway, and there should be nothing wrong with him going to say something.
After a moment's hesitation, Rowson walked straight ahead towards the men across the street.
"Eloise."
The abrupt sound came from the room and several people present were startled.
There was a slightly critical look on the face of the man in front of her and Eloise backed away from Hector's arms a little uncomfortably. Stammering, "Solomon's not out of danger yet, so I ..."
"It's fine, I won't behave like a child, but I'd advise Mr Hector around me that he'd better put himself in his place and not forget who he is." One second Rowson's tone was soft, but when he looked at Hector, it became much harsher all of a sudden.
Hector sniffed and stood behind Eloise with an oath, his tone equally blazing.
"The same words I have said many times to Mr. Rowson, and please do not forget who you are."
Hector was already angry about the Solomon incident and Rowson came over to take it out on him.
Seeing the two men at war with each other made Eloise's head spin.
Just as the air was filled with the smell of gunpowder, a cry of alarm came from a distance. "How's Solomon doing?"
Mrs Matriarch ran anxiously to Hector's side, looking tense.
When news of Solomon's accident reached home, Mrs Matriarch felt like the sky was falling.
Without saying a word, he pulled Mr Fletcher over.
They were joined by Mr and Mrs Rupert, both of whom had a look of anxiety in their eyes.
Solomon is a treasure to the entire Rogers family and this time it was a bolt from the blue except for something so big.
"Mom..."
Hector was about to make a reply when Mrs Matriarch pushed him away and came forward herself.
Mrs Matriarch felt her heart break when she saw the various instruments sticking out of Solomon's body.
How much is this going to hurt her baby...
Tears ran down her face and Mrs Matriarch just couldn't bear the pain.
Mr Fletcher saw this and took Mrs Matriarch in his arms, reaching out to pat her spine.
His eyes were also red, and as a grandfather, Mr Fletcher's heart felt as if he had been stabbed by a thousand knives when Solomon suffered this tragedy. Seeing how worried they both looked, Hector said, "Mom, don't worry too much, Solomon is out of danger now.
Eloise's blood supply was timely at the time and without Eloise's help, Solomon would have been gone, I'm afraid."
Mrs Matriarch sniffed and hastily wiped the tears from her face and walked over to Eloise's side.
With one hand, she grabbed her hand and said gratefully, "Eloise, you saved Solomon this time, I really don't know how to thank you."
At these words, Mrs Matriarch was about to bend over and knowing what she was about to do, Eloise hastily held Mrs Matriarch in place.
Auntie, I don't have to be so polite, I really can't afford to be like this, besides I quite like Solomon.
Solomon is a good boy, not to mention that he calls me Mummy, so I'll save him anyhow."
At the words, Hector's tone rose and he let out an oh.
"So you've agreed to be Solomon's mummy?" he said, "Solomon will be very happy when he wakes up."
Eloise blushed at her words, the man had completely misinterpreted her meaning.
Rowson, isolated from the crowd at this point, watched the family melt away and couldn't help but frown.
On one side, Rupert glimpsed the hostility in Rowson's eyes and dodged directly in front of several people.
In a not very kind tone he spoke, "Mr. Rowson, thank you for coming over to see Solomon." Rowson, who was blocked from Rupert's view, was a little upset, but couldn't say anything in this scene.
In the end it just left in resentment.
Touching Eloise's cold palm, Mrs Matriarch spoke softly, "Eloise, you've saved our lives this time, the Rogers family owes you a favour, if there's anything you need in the future, just ask."
Seeing how polite Mrs Matriarch was, Eloise really didn't know how to explain and just shook back, saying, "It's really all right, Auntie. I did it willingly, you're simply being too polite with me, and I didn't save Solomon to ask for anything." Rupert chimed in, "Sister-in-law... ah no Miss Eloise, you'd better accept my mother's thanks or she'll be upset."
