Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 703: Assassination
But when Rupert dialed the phone to Hector, there was a blind tone all the time. This worried the Rogers family.
After leaving a few urgent messages for Hector, Rupert kept pacing the room, very agitated.
Jensen patted Rupert on the shoulder and said, "Solomon's situation is worse than last time, because this time it's happening in front of him. It's best if the person who caused the knot in his heart comes forward, which is his mother, for things to work out a bit better."
Rupert didn't want that, but there was no turning back now.
As it happened, Rupert's mobile phone rang and it was Thomas calling.
Hector had left for England overnight because of the news from the Dark Guard about Marian.
He gave the phone to Thomas and told him to stabilise the situation at the company.
When Thomas saw Rupert's message, he called him back immediately.
But Rupert was confused, why Thomas?
Could it be that something had happened to his brother?
Not daring to think the worst, Rupert frowned and asked, "What is it?"
"Rupert, there's been a small incident over in France, namely Miss Eloise has been attacked, so it will be some time before the prince can return, don't you worry."
Thomas' words exploded in a few people's ears, what did he mean by being attacked?
Had Eloise been kidnapped?
Hector's mother snatched up the phone and asked urgently, "Is she all right?"
Solomon needed Eloise to sort out the situation, and if something did happen to her, what would Solomon do?
Although Hector's mother was being a bit selfish, Hector's mother couldn't care less.
All she wanted was for Solomon to behave like a normal child.
After hearing Hector's mother's voice, Thomas's low voice rang out, "Madam, to tell you the truth, Miss Eloise was kidnapped by Marian. But now Marian has escaped and the Prince is in full pursuit. It will take some time before she returns home.
It was Marian!
Rupert was astonished by this, he had felt that something was wrong with Marian.
She was always fighting with Eloise, and he never thought she would do something like kidnapping this time.
His brother was raising a wolf with him.
The more familiar a person was, the more they would stab him where it hurt the most.
Looking back and seeing Hector's mother standing there with a pale face, Rupert steadied Hector's mother.
He then took the phone and said, "Okay, I get it. If you have any questions about the company, just talk to me directly."
With that, Rupert hung up the phone.
This was where things got a bit tricky.
With his brother away and Eloise out of the picture, it seemed that Solomon's illness would have to wait a little longer.
Jensen saw what Rupert was thinking and reassured him, "It's okay, I'll be home a lot in the next two days, you just don't irritate him, I'll do the rest."
"Thank you, Mubai." Rupert said gratefully.
At these words, Jensen gave Rupert a direct whack and said jokingly, "The three of us have grown up together since we were kids, what's the point of saying thank you or not. Well, I've got a few things to do in the consulting room, so I'll be off, so remember to call me if there's anything going on."
After seeing Jensen off, Aisly came down the stairs.
Rupert rushed to meet her and asked eagerly, "How is Solomon doing?"
Aisly sniffed and shook her head, "Still not well, he's been sitting in front of the window staring, ignoring whatever I've said to him, so it looks like only his sister-in-law will be able to talk to him."
The words left their mouths and both of them sighed.
It was always like this with their Rogers family, days were always uneventful.
At this time on the other side of the planet, Hector was heading to England with a monstrous amount of anger.
The news of Marian's presence in the Dark Guard had just come out and Hector had not hesitated to put off all his trips.
Almost everyone can feel Hector's anger, but what they don't understand is why Marian is throwing himself into the net. With Ramm and Cerdic in the UK, it was a dead end.
Marian was too smart to do such a stupid thing..
But things can always change.
By the time Hector arrived in England, news had arrived.
The news that Marian had defected to the Karan group was a big one.
Marian had always been Hector's confidant, and the fact that he had defected to Hector's nemesis was fatal for him.
After all, Marian has a great deal of confidential information under his command, and if the Karan group knew all about it, Hector would lose most of the group and its power in his hands. But when Hector learned the news, he smiled instead of being angry.
Good, good!
Marian was a character and deserved to be caught in person.
Now that the Karan Group is a powerful force in the UK, Hector has long wanted to deal with this bomb that could go off at any moment.
It was time to meet this Bergerian.
At the moment Hector is standing in front of the window of the highest building in the UK, overlooking the city, with his back to Ramm and Cerdic.
He had been standing there for an hour without saying a word, and the two men behind him looked at each other, not knowing what to say.
Finally Ramm cautiously asked, "Prince, what do you want to do next?"
The silence was broken as Hector turned around and shot an icy glare at the two men.
It caused Ramm to shrink his shoulders.
"Go and send a message to Karan, I want to see Bergerian."
Ramm got his orders and fled as if to leave.
Seeing this, Cerdic also hastily pulled up an excuse and went down with Ramm.
The office was not a place for people.
Hector's powerful aura overwhelmed them.
After they left, Hector's palms clenched tightly.
He would not spare anyone who hurt Eloise!
What Hector didn't know, however, was that a sniper rifle was aimed at his head in a tall building opposite him at that moment.
The next second, the man hiding in the shadows pulled the trigger.
The sound of a bullet breaking through the air came and Hector reacted almost instantly to avoid it.
All that was seen was a bullet that went straight along the edge of his shoulder and into the wall behind him, causing a modest bullet hole.
His shoulder was grazed by the stream of air carried by the bullet, bleeding out and soaking his clean white shirt red.
However, he was unconcerned about the wound in his shoulder and quickly made his way towards the window.
His hawk-like gaze landed on the roof of the building opposite, which was already empty.
He couldn't help but sneer; someone was starting to hold back before he could even make a move.
This Bergerian had gone to great lengths to kill him.
