Chapter 360 I Might Leave Today "Of course not! I've suffered a lot because of my inferior educational background, and you know it! My education will forever be a sore spot in my heart! If I can't overcome this obstacle, I won't be able to rest easy!" Clarissa explained hurriedly to Damien. He approached her slowly before gripping her chin tightly. "So you're saying your education is more important than your husband and son, huh?"

"My education will forever be my backbone in life." Clarissa refused to yield as she gazed back into Damien's eyes. She was fine with it if Damien hated her now. Under no circumstances would she allow that man and the mysterious organization to get what they wanted. Clarissa vowed to uncover the truth behind everything that was going on.

However, she was afraid that Damien might be involved in this huge mess.

Damien narrowed his eyes slightly. "My stance is still the same. Either you stay here, or you leave and we'll never see each other again. Other than that, do whatever you want."

After that, he entered the bathroom. Once he was done with his bath, he got into the bed.

Clarissa was already in bed by that time. Her petite form was curled under the blankets.

Tears shimmered in her eyes as she tugged at Damien's arin timidly.

The latter refused to pay attention to her at all.

Clarissa felt bitter on the inside. She wanted to use the opportunity after giving birth to Neil to study for her master's degree in Emmeria. She would return once per month to visit Damien and Neil, but thanks to the man in black's threats and her harsh words that she spat in Damien's face, she could never do that.

Damien also said the same thing. If she were to leave, he would never meet her again.

His attitude this time was completely different from before. When Clarissa wanted to fly overseas the last time, he lost his cool and forced himself onto her. However, this time, he was eerily calm. It was as if he had lost all hope in Clarissa.

Even after falling in love with Damien and having a son with him, the fact that Clarissa was able to declare her intention to leave meant that she didn't care about her tiny family that she had built at all. It was early July right now, so there was still a huge chunk of time before the new term started, which was in January next year. Clarissa would rent a house first before continuing her studies. If everything went smoothly, she would be able to secure a PhD.

Clarissa's inind remained awake. She was only able to drift to sleep around dawn.

Once she woke up again, Damien was already long gone.

Clarissa hugged his pillow and started sobbing once more. She cried till her throat went dry and hoarse.

She had always thought he was a monster, but she never expected him to be so heartless.

Soon, Clarissa booked her flight ticket using the computer. It was the low season right now, so there weren't many people going out on trips. Hence, it was easy to book her ticket.

She quickly swiped at her eyes to get rid of her tears.

Vanessa came in with a bowl of tomato soup.

"Thanks to you, Mom, I've been recovering well these days," Clarissa said with a smile. "It's my duty as your mother-in-law, after all. I already feel bad enough since I didn't get to take care of you during your pregnancy," Vanessa replied as she sat on Clarissa's bed. "Why are your eyes so red, Clary?"

"I want to fly overseas to further my studies. It might be a very long time before I can return, so I'll miss everything here." "You're flying overseas? Your son is so young, yet you want to do that?" Vanessa sounded surprised

"Yeah. I'm not working at all these days, so I want to use the time to earn myself a higher educational degree. My Visa hasn't expired yet, and I've already received an offer letter. 1 might..."
