Chapter 417 A Handsome Man Clarissa deliberately used the stairs because she knew Damien would use the lift since Neil was with him.

Worried that Damien might call out to her, she didn't even look back when she turned the

corner.

Though Clarissa didn't want Damien to know about her current position in Eden Investment, her secret would still be exposed sooner or later, since Ray had already seen her that day. Plus, the fact that she was an employee at Eden Investment wasn't a secret.

However, Clarissa didn't feel as attached to them after she heard Damien addressing her as a stranger. Worried that she might bump into them downstairs, she hopped into a taxi the moment she arrived on the ground floor.

"Miss, where are you headed to?" the driver asked. "Just go for now," Clarissa said absent-mindedly. She didn't know where to go, either. On the way, she looked outside the windows while reminiscing about the past. She didn't know how to make out of her situation right now. Meanwhile, Damien strolled along the streets under the evening twilight with Neil's little hand firmly in his grasp. "Daddy, are we having dinner at the place where Great-grandpa used to work?" Neil asked. "That's right."

From his tone, Neil realized his father wasn't in a good mood today. He looked up and asked," Daddy, do you like that stranger?"

"What?" Damien lowered his head and looked at Neil.

"Daddy, stop pretending! You've never shown any interest in Madelynn or Lucy even though they always come to our house. One look at that lady is what it takes for you to fall in love! If you want to marry her, Daddy, you have to tell me, okay? I'll judge her character for you!" Neil reassured Damien, patting his chest proudly.

"You're just a kid. Stop pretending like you know everything!" Damien scolded. Neil lowered his head in defeat.

Caleb had booked a table for them on the second floor of Sonders Cafe. At the moment, he was already there waiting for Damien's arrival.

Soon, Damien arrived with a child next to him.

"Caleb, we're here!" Neil greeted him immediately.

"Good evening, Mr. Lawrence!" Caleb approached Damien and extended his hand for a handshake.

Today, Caleb was clad in sports attire that made him look handsome and fit. He was almost the same height as Damien. From the surface, they both looked like basketball players, "You're a handsome young man," Damien complimented. "Thank you, sir." Caleb smiled, revealing his pearl - white teeth. Then, Caleb pulled out a chair for Damien and said, "Please sit."

He reached for the menu and handed it over to Damien.

Damien ordered a few more dishes just so it wouldn't look bad on Caleb.

While waiting for the dishes to arrive, Neil asked, "Caleb, are you good at playing basketball?" Caleb couldn't help but chuckle when he looked at Neil's adorable appearance. "If you want, I can teach you."

"Yay! Thank you, Caleb! Mrs. Faber told me you're really good at drawing, too. You're so talented," Neil praised as he looked admiringly at Caleb. "Such a sweet boy," Caleb said, caressing Neil's head lovingly. "I heard from your mother that you have someone you like at this university. Have you made her your girlfriend yet?" Damien prodded with great interest. He wondered what kind of woman would pique this young man's interest. Back when Damien was young, a lot of people were also curious about his preference for women. Everyone wondered, exactly what kind of woman would garner the interest of someone as impeccable as Damien?

"Don't listen to my mom! She's not interested in me, anyway." Caleb looked away from Damien while caressing Neil's head.

"With your looks and figure, I bet you'll get any woman you want!" Damien looked at Caleb's sharp eyes and handsome features. Caleb indeed looked really mature and athletic. With his irresistible qualities, Damien was sure that Caleb could win over the heart of any woman he set his eyes on.

Looking at Caleb, Damien was quite curious about that woman's identity. Caleb smiled. "Mr. Lawrence, you're not any different. Come on, let's just enjoy our meal." Just as Caleb was prepared to eat, he turned to look outside the windows. He was sitting just beside the windows, while Damien was sitting further away from him.

He noticed Clarissa walking past Marble Garden. Right now, it was almost seven o'clock. The rays of twilight illuminated Clarissa's back, creating a long silhouette in front of her. She was clad in a one-piece dress, with her hair braided. Right then, a gentle breeze blew at her. At this moment, Clarissa looked like she was in a picturesque painting.

Gazing at her with loving eyes, a besotted smile appeared on Caleb's face.
