Chapter 262: You've Got The Wrong Person

Matthew didn't know whether he was so surprised to see his old comrade, Doris, or shocked by her words, but the consequence was that he sprained his waist again, which had just been cured with acupuncture therapy So, the scene in the room was that both Doris and Matthew were lying on the bed. One of them was taking acupuncture therapy while the other was having a massage. Catherine was giving Matthew a massage while he was enjoying it, thanks to Catherine's wonderful skill.

However, none of the persons in the room cared about how Matthew felt. They were all looking at Hailey and Doris. Staring at Doris's waist, Jared was so worried about her, "Hailey, how is waist? Would there be sequela?" Hailey answered as she was preparing the acupuncture needles, "It's psoatic strain, which is a long-time injury So it won't be that easy to fully cure it." Jared narrowed his eyebrows deeply. Lying on the bed, Matthew started saying as he turned to look at Doris, "You injured your waist in the mission in Lower Sea. Right? We had thought you would be paralyzed and leave the special forces, but you came back after three months. I thought you had been fully recovered, but it's not in fact. I mean, you're a woman at your late twenties. Why don't you marry a man instead of working so hard?" "Shut up. Okay? Do you think I can go back home and inherit a family company like you who can't make it in the army? Doris's face turned pale due to the pain, but she spared no effort to retort, "Besides, who can I marry? What about you?" Catherine was speechless and so was Jared. Matthew answered immediately. "No way. I don't dare to marry you. What's more, I don't have a thing for a man." Casting a glare at Matthew, Owen said. "Shut the hell up." Doris sneered, "Yep. I'm more like a man than you. You're such a coward." Matthew didn't agree with Doris at all. "What did I do? Why did you say so?" "You don't know what you did?" Casting a look at Catherine, Doris continued, "Girl, don't be scared. We're here. If Matthew really forced you to do something, feel free to tell us. We will help you and let him take his responsibility. We're not gonna be easy on him if he

refuses."

Matthew was so speechless, since they went back to the previous topic again. Why didn't they listen to his explanation? Catherine said with a smile, "Miss Doris, you got Matthew wrong. He didn't force me to do anything. Maybe I was the one who forced him to do something." Matthew.was wondering whether he had got the point of Catherine's words. "Great." Doris gave a thumbs up to Catherine. When she got to know that the little girl was Hailey's niece, she smiled and corrected, "Catherine, don't call me Miss Doris. Your aunt Hailey. and I will probably become very good friends, so you can call me Aunt Doris or just Doris." Hailey curved her lips and let out a smile as she was disinfecting the acupuncture needles in the fire.

Hailey agreed with Doris that they would become good friends. People always said that there was no real friendship between opposite sex, but Hailey thought she was so compatible with Doris. Some persons were destined to be friends and Hailey trusted her intuition. Just as Catherine was about to call Doris, Jared, who was standing beside Hailey, said coldly. "Call her Doris directly, since she won't be your aunt but my wife." Catherine paused, "What?" Doris was so stunned that she looked back at Jared, who was being so indifferent. How could he say it with no expression? "I mean, what's wrong with you, sir?" Doris smiled politely. "Do you know what you said just now? You got the wrong person, didn't you?" Doris had yet to probe why Matthew stalked her. She had been feeling that someone was stalking her for quite a long time. Thanks to her excellent counter-reconnaissance ability, she could dump the person each time.

However, the person had almost caught up with her, which did scare her. And that was why Doris moved to North City to avoid that person. Doris left the army for her vacation. Besides, she wanted to get her waist cured, so she didn't wanna get herself in any trouble and be punished due to that. But Doris didn't expect the stalker would trace her here. How could a stalker be that arrogant? "I didn't get the wrong person. Jared was calm and his tone was bland, but he kinda joked, "Wasn't you the person who hit me in the childhood?" Doris was about to freak out. She had beaten so many people since she was a child, but none of them dared to pick up a toe-to-toe fight against her. Jared was the first person who dared to do so. "Come on. It's been so many years. How can you still hold a grudge like this?" Looking at the angry and arrogant look on Jared's face, Doris knew that Jared wouldn't just let it go. "Fine. After the acupuncture therapy, we can have a fight. Feel free to use whatever move you can to beat me down." However, there was one more sentence that Doris didn't say it out loud, which was "You wish". Each one at presence thought Jared wouldn't take Doris's words seriously, but to their surprise, he said, "Okay." "We can have a fight." "Okay." What a dramatic scene! All the others sighed in their heart Doris and Matthew were bickering when they met, and Owen didn't wanna get himself in it. She slowly sent the sterilized needles into several acupoints which would help boost blood circulation, ease pain and improve muscle spasm. Even if Owen had known that Hailey was a doctor long before, he was still surprised at how she was curing a patient. Hailey was applying the needles on Doris methodically with a calm look, and it seemed everything was under her control. When looking at it aside, Owen felt as if he had known Hailey not just in this life. It was like he had known her in another time and space and he had seen what he was witnessing there.

The waist injury was an old problem for Doris. Taking acupuncture therapy for only once wouldn't cure the injury at all. She had to take it for several times, maybe with cupping therapy. Doris, who hated to go to hospital, promised to take the therapy very quickly, which slightly eased the worry of Jared. Turning his back to Doris, Jared asked Hailey. "Could you cure the injury?" Hailey was washing her hands. She gave Jared a glimpse and let out a smile when hearing his question, "How come you're more worried about Doris's injury than herself?" Giving Hailey a glare, Jared said, "Tell me the truth." Hailey thought for a moment and said, "As long as you don't fight with her recently. I can cure her injury for sure." Jared replied at once, "Of course I won't. Who says we're gonna have a fight?" Doris had sharp ears and she heard it clearly. She said, "We won't have a fight? So does it mean you won't blame me for what I did to you

before? Shall we let the past in the past?" "You wish." Jared turned back to glare at Doris, "It's not gonna happen. We'll figure it out later." Doris was speechless when hearing so and thought to herself, 'Jared is a man who has nothing to do with generous and the girl who's gonna marry him will be super unlucky."
