Luna Abigail
Chapter 13

Abby’s P.O.V

We emerge in a room I do not recognize. Both Morgan and I look at each other. I see the questions in her eyes, those same questions I am full of. Aros smiles at us, and gestures for us to sit down at the table in the room.

“Aros, where are we? I swear by all the goddesses, if you kidnapped me and Morgan I will..” Aros interrupts me.

“We are my refuge in the forest, close to your pack. I would never kidnap you or Morgan. I want you both safe, but I need to talk to you in person, which wasn’t possible in the pack. You’ve got spices, your highness.” Aros says with earnest. I am taken aback by this revelation.

“We have, what?” I ask him, though it feels like my mind is numb. Aros sighs and sits down opposite me and Morgan.

“This is going to be a long story, but first I need to tell you; I am not evil, neither bad. I have been in love with Morgan as long as I can remember, but I will never interfere with the goddesses’ plan. She found her mate and I will let her be. She will be like a sister to me, one I will do everything to protect.” Morgan sends Aros a bright smile.

“Abby, as he said, he is not bad at all. Everything was an act to fool his mother. Aros wishes to take her place as Head Wizard of the Water Coven. He wants her dead and gone, both her and her followers. He wants the Water Coven to be as good as when his birth mother was Head Witch.” Morgan explains. I think over what I heard so far, and sense no lies from either of them.

“So if what you say is true, why would you treat Morgan badly or teleport us goddess only knows where?” I ask, my eyes narrow.

“I only treated her badly in public, and only when it was needed. I never wanted to do any of that or talk to you the way I did.” Aros says. Morgan nods and he continues.

“Morgan and I had an agreement. The moment my mother showed interest in her, I made up the treaty scam to protect her. No one knows other than me and her, and now you.” Aros pleads with me.

“We needed to make it as real as possible for everyone. I am very sad Miss. Meeri hates me the way she does, but in her eyes I have been treating her grand daughter terribly. She hasn’t even passed on the Head Witch position, even though Morgan was due to take over a year a go.” Aros continues. I am so confused by now, but everything I have been told so far is true. It’s weird, everything I thought to be true was not. But what now? Matt will blow a gasket if I take Aros home, but I can’t just leave him be and we have that spy problem, apparently.

“Aros, I need you to tell all of this to Matt and Jason. They need to know that you are not really an a*****e or that you have been treating Morgan well after all. Brandon might still want to kill you, but he is Morgan’s mate and a gamma. The possessive gene is strong in him.” I laugh at the last part. Aros and Morgan join me in the laugh.

“I need to hold off on the ‘talk to the possessive Alphas’ for a bit.” He says with a serious expression on his face.

“I risked getting figured out, because it is important for you to know all of this, and some of these things Morgan does not even know yet.” He makes a grimace.

“My ‘mother’ killed my birth mother to get the Coven. She gave me a choice to either be her son or be killed. I figured that buying my time as her son would be my best option. Sylla found out that Morgan is the daughter of Elise and the fay King Erik. This means that Morgan is part fay but not any kind of fay, a fay princess, the heir to the fay kingdom.” Morgan looks at Aros with wide eyes, then she shakes her head.

“This can’t be? I can’t be a, a princess? This is.. It’s not possible. Grandmother always told me that my mother gave me and her position up, because she couldn’t handle the heart beak of her fated mate.. She, she’s dead.” Morgan whispers the last part. I take her hand in mine and give it a squeeze.

“No Morgan. She is not dead, she lives with your father in the fay kingdom and rules as their Queen. I overheard Sylla tell her followers that your grandmother made your mother promise to let you be when she came back with you. She wanted to keep you, but she knew you would be a target, just like our Queen here.” Aros explains with a side nod at me. Morgan’s eyes flashes with rage and suddenly a strong wind blows through the room. The power emanates from Morgan and Galaxy is coming forth. She is concerned with the sudden surge of power, and is prepared to make her submit if necessary, to make her control her powers. I decide to try another approach before we resolve to this.

“Morgan, look at me!” I say in a soothing and demanding voice. She turns her head and I see the grey swirling inside her deep brown eyes. It is outlining her eyes.

“You need to calm down and take control of your powers before something or someone is broken. The powers don’t control you, you control your powers!” I say calmly, even though the wind is picking up. I can hear her heart rate is beating fast, and her racked breaths.

“Breath slowly, in through your nose and out your mouth. I am here to help you and I will protect you, even from yourself! Now take control of these powers!” I demand the last part in my Luna and Witch Queen’s voice, full of authority. I create a barrier between the two of us and the rest of the house, including Aros, who are looking at us with wide, concerned eyes. Morgan does as I instruct and slowly the winds slow down as well. When they are all gone, but a little gale, I let the barrier fall.

“What happened?” Morgan asks in a pant. She looks bewildered, but I have a sneaking suspicion her new wolf just combined with her witch/fay powers and made her an air elemental. Galaxy hums in my head at this thought, making me sure I am right.

‘We haven’t explored all of our own powers yet, doll, but indeed she is an air elemental. They connected all Star wolves to an element; air, water, fire, and earth. You contain a bit of all the elements, and that is part of why we are their Queen.’ Galaxy explains and retreats to the back of my mind again and settles down. Great, so I will have to learn new powers, just what I needed in this crazy world; I call my life.

“So, Morgan. We will handle your new elemental powers later. Right now, we need to wrap this up before our mates realize we are gone.” I say and look at her. She looks confused, but I can see in her eyes that her wolf is filling her in already. Her eyes keep shifting from a stormy grey to her own warm brown.

‘Too late, doll. They already know, seeing as we have been here quite long already. I have told Blade not to worry and to keep Matt and Brandon from destroying the pack. He is not impressed with us being gone, but as long as we can still communicate it’s going to be fine’ Galaxy tells me in amusement.

‘How come Matt hasn’t tried to reach me or Brandon tried to reach Morgan?’ I ask her, kind of dreading her answer.

‘Easy, I am blocking them so you can focus on this. It is important, and you don’t need those two possessive males to interrupt.’ I shake my head at my headstrong wolf.

“Your wolf got anything interesting to say, your highness?” Aros asks with amusement. He obviously noticed my inner dialog with Galaxy. I blush and give him a smirk.

“Yes, actually. She has blocked out our mates’ mind-link because we need peace for this conversation. But they are kind of panicking over Morgan and I being gone. Galaxy, my wolf, has reached out to my mate’s wolf and told him to keep them from ripping things apart.” I say with a laugh. Morgan hides her head in her hands. We both know we are going to be in so much trouble when we get back.

“Aros, I think it will be best if you send us back now. We will continue this conversation tomorrow in the pack house. You can teleport directly in there, right? Then we have had time to explain to Matt and Brandon and make them see reason. Goddess, that is going to take time.” I say with a smile.

Aros nods and confirms he can teleport to every location Morgan is at. They are magically linked, in case Sylla gets her hand on Morgan, then Aros can go free her. It was a safety precaution that comes in very handy now. We agree he will come to the pack house just after lunch the next day, and then I fell how Aros teleports me and Morgan back. As we land in the pack ground, I see two all to familiar people run towards us. But before they can reach us, I feel someone summon me by teleportation again and then the pack lands are gone.

What the hell just happened? Galaxy is pacing in my head, anxious and on alert.

When the darkness lifts, I see a meadow and trees around me. The sight is beautiful and I can feel the magic in this place. Something dark is looming in the shadows, but before I can dwell too much on that fact, the meadow is bathed in a bright silver light.

Then Selene is suddenly standing in front of me, very pissed off and fuming.

“KERES SHOW YOURSELF! I KNOW THIS IS YOUR WORK! COME OUT NOW!” Selene yells.

Who the hell is Keres? My question is answered when a dark figure separates from the shadows, cackling madly.

“Oh, so I got your attention there, sister.” The dark figure says. SISTER? What is going on here?
