Luna Abigail
Chapter 29

Matt’s P.O.V.

I was in the middle of a discussion with the different warrior trainers when I suddenly lost the connection with Abby, and before any of them could ask what was wrong, I had bolted out of there. The thoughts in my head were pure panic, as me and Blade felt the loss of our mate once again. It was not the first time, and would probably not be the last either, as she is the Queen of two of the fractions, but my heart broke every time this happened.

Blade kept pacing in my mind, his connection with Galaxy not entirely gone, but reduced to a fraction of what it normally is. He was worried about them, no doubt about that, but he also kept saying to me they were okay. They were not dead or in imminent danger, which was why I kept a somewhat calm head.

As I reached the house, Jason came running in the other direction. We were meant to meet up at the new pack house to talk about what needed to be done, and see where we were with the progress. We reached the door at the same time.

“Did Ellie disappear too?” I ask him in a hurry. He gives me a curt nod, and we both rush to Abby’s office. As we arrive, I feel the presence of different people in there, but none of them is my mate or Ellie. Jason barge in first, more pissed than I. I guess he and his wolf can’t feel Ellie at all.

“Where is my mate?” Jason growls at the three strangers. Yup, he doesn’t feel Ellie at all. I really feel like him. As this settles in me, I mind-link him.

‘She is probably wherever Abby is, and they are not in danger.’ I tell him, and I see his shoulders relax slightly, but he is still on alert. Then I remember he hasn’t met the moon goddess yet, and he wouldn’t know her by appearance. I reach a hand out and touch his shoulders when I see the change in his posture. We can’t have him attack the goddesses in front of us, because even though I haven’t met them, I believe the two other women with Selene are her sisters.

“I am sorry, Selene.” I say on behalf of my friends’ hasty conclusions. Jason stops dead in his tracks when I say her name. Selene gives us a slight smile and then looks intently at Jason. She sighs.

“This is my sisters, Ophelia and Monica. Ophelia is the goddess of vampires, whereas Monica is the goddess of all magic kind. We came to discuss the question about Abby carrying the Destiny Children, but before we could get her to gather you all, they summoned her, but I don’t know who they are. Ellie seemed to feel what was happening, and she jumped on. Do you two know where they went?” Selene presents the two other women as her sisters, just as I suspected. But she doesn’t know where Abby and Ellie went, either. Shit, this was not good. Blade stirs in my mind, worried when the goddess reveals that she too doesn’t know where they went or who summoned them.

“No, we don’t know where they are? The mate bond link to both of them is not there. It’s like it’s gone dormant in some way, so we cannot track them down.” I answer, but keep the information about Blade being able to sense Galaxy to myself. I wasn’t about to rub that fact in Jason’s face.

Selene looks very concerned with this revelation, as does the other. But something tells me this information gave them an answer too. They know where my mate and Ellie are. They better tell us, so we can go and get them back. My anger rises with every second going by and those women not saying anything.

“Why didn’t you three stop that teleportation if you were here?” Jason asks in a murderous tone. That’s an excellent question, one I want an answer to too. They are goddesses. They should be able to stop such nonsense, especially when it comes to the Queen.

Their eyes glace over slightly, indicating they are talking amongst themselves. I am about interrupt their impromptu meeting, when both mine and Jason’s phones ring and Morgan burst through the open door.

On the phones are Sami and Isadora, who along with Morgan have lost their connection with both Abby and Ellie. They are all anxious and, as we are speaking with the girls, they say they are on their way to us.

Brandon walks into the room at a slower pace, but he immediately goes to his mate, who is having a standoff with the goddesses.

Kaiden and Laurel mind-link me if I am alright. They have been feeling my despair and anger from their date in town. I tell them what has happened, but they should not come to Abby’s office, because we are enough here and they cannot do anything at the moment. Kaiden says they are coming back to the pack house just to be near, and just in case.

I ask Jason to mind-link his ranking members as well, as they have probably also felt their alphas moods since the girls went missing. His eyes then glace over, and when the clear we make eye contact.

I must say, my respect for Morgan increases as the discussion with the goddess comes along. She is not afraid of them, which she tells the red-headed one, Ophelia, more than once. She demands to be told where Abby and Ellie are, and when she finally gets an answer out of Monica, I almost lose my cool. Blade roars in my head in anger and frustration. Someone in the demon realm has kidnapped my mate and our unborn pups. They can’t come back because they have been transported over the border. But how am I going to save them, then?

My anger makes me see red, but I know it will not help the situation if I blow a gasket at the moment. This is how it is to be King. You need to keep your cool, but f**k!

Blade is clawing more than ever to be let loose, and I want nothing more than for him to come out and destroy the enemy. Somewhere in the fight for dominance with Blade, I lose the battle and we start to shift. We are both beyond angry and we both want b***d. I register Jason is also shifting. We must be on the same killer channel.

Then I hit a wall of some kind. It is a blinding sliver, and it’s like my body absorbs the light. I stop mid shift, shifting back to my human form. Forced to stay human. Blade is oddly quiet in my mind, and when I look in there, I feel him laying in a deep enchanted sleep. I have been able to feel and tell magic ever since my Abby marked me as hers. A single tear trickle down my chin as I lay beside Jason panting from the effort on the ground.

How am I supposed to be the King of werewolves and the magic kind when my Queen is missing? How am I supposed to lead our people when the only reason for my living and breathing is yet again snatched away from me? Abby is my entire world. She and our unborn pups. I don’t know what to do now? My wolf can’t help me in my plan ti search for my mate, and I have a feeling he is not coming back to being awake before Abby is home again, and goddess only knows when that’s going to be. I feel completely hopeless and worthless.

Then a hand to help me up grabs me. When I look up, it is into Kaiden’s face. He shakes his head. Saying I couldn’t have kept him away anymore, that need as my beta has a right to be here and he is right. I take a seat on the couch beside Jason, who looks as defeated as I feel.

A mind-link between Morgan and Brandon interrupts my hopeless thoughts. They have a plan. I smile into my hand as I relay their plan to Jason. The life in his eyes comes back slowly. He knows the girls will be able to defeat this enemy and come back together.

Morgan leaves the room, and Brandon starts asking all sorts of random questions to Selene and the others. I mind-link Kaiden of the plan, and at first he looks livid. We have involved his mate, but he knows we are right. If someone can find a loophole for the demons to let Abby and Ellie go, it will be here. She is the most educated in law, history and habits of all the fractions. We have widened expensively our library since she moved in.

Then both Brandon and Kaiden shivers visibly and the goddesses seem rather angry at something. My pack link to Morgan and Laurel goes dormant too, which means they have gone beyond the border of Deam Inferna.

“Where is Morgan, Brandon?” Selene asks while Brandon swallows. I know he doesn’t want to lie to his goddess, especially when she is asking in a mild, motherly voice. He doesn’t have to answer, though. As soon as the question leaves her lips, her eyes widen.

“I’m afraid they have gone to do your job, Great Mother.” He answers politely with a bow.

Selene looks at me. I give her a mild smile and nod. She looks absolutely livid about his answer. She takes the hands of her sisters and they vanish in a multicolored light.

I have gathered all the guys in my office. We were sitting and talking when a guard informs me of the arrival of Benjamin and Daemon. I give permission for them to be allowed to enter the pack lands. They drive up to the house, where an omega shows them to my office.

“So, the girls are yet again off to save the world, while we men just sit back and wait it out? This is not what happens in the stories, man.” Benjamin says as he enters. Daemon shakes his head.

“We need to help them somehow, but I am not sure how to do it? They are the special ones in the relationships, not us.” He replies when they sit down, after waving at everybody.

Jason’s beta and gamma are here as well. We need all of us, if we are to resolve this.

“I know we are not the ones with special powers, but I am tired of my mate being kidnapped all the damn time. This is going to be the last time.” I say through gritted teeth. My father nods, and walk over to lay a hand on my shoulder. He and my mother have also joined.

“We are going to the conference room now that everyone is here. We need a few more to join this meeting. I am calling to an alpha gathering and we need the message to be delivered.” I tell the room. Some gasp, some nod and some look indifferent.

When we are seated in the conference room, I make the calls. On the screen is the head pack of all the regions; the diamond pack of the eastern and the moonlight pack of the western. We have me and Jason as representatives of the south and Daemon of the north. Benjamin is here as well as a pack of the east.

“Alpha Cedric and Luna Lyssa, Alpha Hunter and Luna Elise. Welcome to this meeting between the regions.” I say. They all smile and nod.

“Alpha Matthew, my King. I am surprised to hear from you, but I don’t see your Luna anywhere? Where is she?” Alpha Cedric says with his heavy accent. He always have had an accent from the human world, as he has to spend a lot of his junior years there with his grandparents, who are living there.

“I am sorry to have called you in such a short time, but this is a matter of peace in our realm. So, I ask of you to hold an alpha meeting between the region’s packs, and make the necessary arrangement to come here for a gathering.” I implore them all. Both alphas on the screen look surprised by this statement.

“Alpha Matthew, my King. May I ask why this is suddenly necessary? We all keep to our own packs, relaying on the help of our neighbours.” Alpha Hunter asks in a gruff voice. He is a warrior alpha. Always ready for a fight, but loyal to his Luna and pack to a default. I smile.

“Some high-ranking demon, or maybe the demon King himself, has kidnapped your Queen has been kidnapped to the underworld. I am afraid a war of all our realm is at the for front, and we will have to be ready. I have called y’all to help me gather the packs faster. As your King I am relying on you to gather those who are interested in a discussion and treaty of peace and cooperation amongst our species. There will also be representatives from the other fractions. Not all witches, vampires, and demons are evil by nature. Some want to live in peace, and me and my Queen want to make this happen.”

Both Cedric and Hunter nods at this, looking contemplative.

“You know some alphas are coming to challenge you for the title of King and to take your Queen for themselves, right?” Cedric asks curiously. I shrug my shoulders. I know they will have to go through Abby if they want me, and by default, they will have to go through all the star wolves.

“Yeah, I know. I don’t care about them. They will never win such a challenge.” I answer with a murderous glint in my eyes.

Both Cedric and Hunter promise to call for a region meeting. Benjamin tells Hunter he supports him in everything. They will both be attending the gathering. Hunters nods before he hangs up to call the other eastern packs.

When Cedric is about to hang up, the door to the room burst open, and in a blur, my sister is on the camera.

“WHAT HAPPENED TO MY SISTER INLAW?!” She yells at me. I sigh and look around where Helena is hiding her face in her hands. I can’t help but laugh at her. She has clearly briefed Sally on what has happened here.

“She’s been kidnapped, again.” I say in expiration. Sally growls and curses so much my mother yells at her!

“SALLY ANN BLUE YOU BETTER NOT BE KISSING MY GRANDCHILDREN WITH THAT MOUTH OF YOURS!” she screams. The entire room, her alpha and luna, included laughs at their antics.

“Alpha Cedric, Luna Lyssa. I am coming to the gathering with you! My brother needs me.” Sally says, and before I can say anything, Cedric gives her permission to come home until the gathering can take place to be with family. Her mate Nate takes her hand.

“We will be there tomorrow afternoon. It’s quite a drive, and Sally needs to pack first.” The last remark gets him a hit in the ribs, much to everyone’s amusement.

We say our goodbyes, and I am looking forward to this. I may not be special like my Abby, but I’ll be dammed if I do nothing in my power to prevent another kidnapping of her and my children.
