Ralph couldn't believe his hearing when Madison asked about the baby.

"Baby? what do you mean?"

"Ralph, please...you gotta get the nurse. I need to know..." she said keeping her hand to her belly.

Madison was frantic, her breathings were getting irregular then the machine starting beeping faster.

"Oh shit! Madison, stay with me... I'll get someone, just....calm down." Ralph kissed her temple and hurriedly headed to the nurse's station while his mind was busy thinking about her words.

Ralph was back within moments with one of the nurses, she was quick to adjust Madison's IV drips before she answered any of her questions.

"Please my baby?"

Ralph was to his lover's side lowering himself to her, wrapping his arm, and letting her rest to his side.

"Regretfully we couldn't save your baby, the impact was too massive. Your body couldn't endure the force, the doctors tried to save it but the pregnancy was too young..."

"I'm so sorry, I should've been more careful..."

"Sshh...we have each other, we will get through this,"

The nurse looked at the young couple then decides to excused herself and gave them more privacy.

"I love you Madison, I didn't know. I'm so sorry, but I'm here for you now."

Madison kept on sobbing, she didn't let go of his arm and cry until she falls asleep. While Ralph was back to blaming himself for not taking her with him in the first place.

"You know it's not your fault right?"

Ralph was surprised when he hears Suzy's voice.

Maddie was sleeping while he was standing looking outside the hospital window, thinking about the baby.

Their baby that they just lost.

He didn't know how to feel, he was sad for her, regret deeply that he wasn't there for her when...

"Ralph?"

"Yeah, I don't know Suzy. I'm still feeling overwhelmed right now."

"You're meant for her, you know that right? maybe the situation will bring both of you so much closer together?"

"Or makes us fall apart?" he said looking at his personal teenage ghost.

Suzy shrugged then telling him it would all depend on him and how he'd handle the situation.

"I guess you're right."

"I am, look...just be there for her."

"I think my baby was why my uncle's ghost tormented her, she was more sensitive because of it..."

"Look, you need to talk it out with her. Talk to Walter and Shani, if they can make it work with their husband and wife, I'm sure you can too. You love her right?"

"I do."

"More than anything in the world?" the young ghost hovered around him.

"I do,"

"So man up and be there for her. Don't let any lame ghost break you up." Ralph tugged his lips and finally back to her side.

"Thank you, Suz didn't know you can be so wise. I will keep that in mind."

"You're welcome, now...I'm going to scare some nurses and leave you two lovebirds alone." She grinned at him and walked through the walls of the hospital recovery room.

Ralph took his seat and back to hold her hand. He couldn't sleep, but he holds her hand and caresses her ring finger knowing for sure that he was going to buy her one, once they're out of the hospital.

The sun was shining, he could feel the warmth ray to his back and he could also feel Maddie's hand caressing his hair.

"Morning."

"Morning." He smiled at her and kissed her hand lovingly.

He could sense that she was about to shed more tears when he hugged her and told her that he'd be there for her. He wouldn't know what she must be feeling at that time, because he was still coping with the idea that she was pregnant and that she was having his baby. "Madison please, we will grieve for our loss. But for now, please concentrate on your recovery. Okay? I can't lose you too."

She nodded and tried to sit up but then winced from the pain.

"Slowly, you will be better soon. Shani will be here later on today, she'll give you some healing remedies you'll be out of here soonest."

"Tell me?" her voice was raspy and Ralph reached out for her glass of water and let her quench her parched throat.

Ralph knows exactly what she was referring to, and to keep her mind from their recent loss, he started telling her about his theory and what had happened to him.

"I think I'm seeing the connection, we will confirm it later with Shani and Walter, but we have found out about the entity. It was my uncle from my mother's side, he was the one who killed my parents. Rain, Suzy, and I went back to the abandoned house couple of days ago."

Ralph paused his words making sure Madison was listening.

"This was because me and Suzy saw the entity was back to drain your energy. I didn't know why at first, I was confused because you have been cleansed by Shani but now, I know the connection must be from our baby."

Madison's hand was to her stomach as if to feel the baby that was once there. Ralph took her hand and kissed her, telling her that he loves her.

"Please continue..."

"Well, Rain finally destroy the entity, though I got hurt in the process and Shani told me that Maven put me in some kind of coma for the next two days. Yet, I remembered clearly that I was having the most two happiest days of my life with you." Ralph smiled sweetly at her, rubbing her knuckles, and kissed her hand.

Madison suddenly blushed when she was also taken back to those two nights of their most intense and beautiful lovemaking.

"You came to me, I didn't know how. But I thought you were there, and on the second day, I realized that you weren't there again in the morning. It was not like you at all to come and go like that. Then I had a bad feeling. So, I started to panic and call Shani and that's when I found out that you were wounded. I was on my way to you when..."

Her tears fall when Madison remembered the day like it was yesterday.

"Madison, I'm here, good as new. My uncle's ghost is gone. We're going to make it."

Ralph wiped her tears and kissed her lips softly.

But their intimate moment was interrupted by her doctor who was clearing his throat signaling his arrival. They must not hear the opening of the door, and both pulled away looking at him awkwardly.

"I see that you're feeling better already?"

The doctor greeted them with a warm smile on his face, while Madison smiled back at him and nodded. The older man discussed her condition, he also expressed his condolences for their baby and told them that she will be monitored and should be able to come home in the next few days.

Ralph was relieved to hear about her condition, aside from the major laceration to her right side the doctor emphasizes that she should be cared for mentally as well because of her loss, and Ralph was in agreement with the doctor. Shani and Walter came later in the afternoon, she was sad for their baby and she was making sure that Madison was coping with her loss and that Ralph was there for her.

"Thanks for keeping the news from him. I was on my way to tell him, I was going to tell him when he visited me but he wouldn't let me."

Shani learned about Ralph's astral projection and laughed it out with Madison saying even in his coma he makes sure that she was loved. "Gosh...Shani, thank you... I needed that."

Ralph was out with Walter for some coffee he hasn't left Madison's room since he arrived. Shani also brought his change of clothes and she was managing Madison's personal belongings from the accident.

"I know you're strong Maddie, but remember that I'm just a phone call away, okay?"

Madison nodded when Shani and Walter said their goodbye two hours later.

"I can't wait to get all better. I want to go home."

"Me too Maddie, I just want us back again. These past few weeks have been so intense."

"I love you."

"I love you more," Ralph whispered when he kissed her softly before she drifted off to sleep.
