"Stay here," Ralph put her ring back on and she nodded.

He kissed her and told her that he would sort everything out for them, then they will leave that same night if his mom still says bad things about her.

"I love you, Maddie." He kissed her one more time before he went downstairs to explain everything to his family.

Larry and Tyler were in the corner pouring more drinks for themselves while Dale was with their parents, trying to calm his mom.

"Ralph, you can seriously believe her?"

"Mom, sit. Everyone, please...I'm not going to repeat myself."

Ralph was taking the lead and waited until everyone took their seats when he started his words.

"Before we continue, I need you to take a look at this." Ralph pulled out his phone and showed them the article about the accident on the freeway just before the quiet coastal town. Madison's car was visible. It showed them, how it was turned to its side and how the windows were shattered.

"This is Madison's car, you can check and have it verified. She did lose the baby in the hospital where she was in critical condition and was in surgery for hours, they have her records. But what she didn't tell all of you was that she was driving in a panic state because she was coming for me. I was hurt, in a coma for two days." Ralph's words were made everyone look at him then at their mom.

"But, why didn't you tell us you were hurt?" his mom was still trying to defend herself but she didn't let go of his phone and was reading the article in the news.

"This is a part of me that all you only know a glimpse about. I can see the dead, you all know why already, few months back Madison had a deadly illness. Didn't think she'd recover from it but she did, and because of her near-death experience she too can see the dead."

Everyone was silent, while Larry was busy filling his drink as if Ralph's talk was too heavy for him to handle.

"I don't want to bore you with the details, but cutting the story short I found out about my uncle. Yes, mom, I remembered." He said looking at his mom who was tugging his dad trying to get his attention.

"And my uncle's ghost was....." Ralph continues his story, his dad made him explained in detail in some parts. Mainly how they both recovered quickly. Though he looked like he was faced with more questions, his dad was listening to his explanation about Shani, Maven, and Rain.

His mom started to get up and get her drink, realizing that to listen to his son's words she needed alcohol in her system. She was wrong, dead wrong, demonically far-fetched from what's happening. She noticed that he was telling the truth when Ralph started explaining to her about her mom's clothes, and how his real dad was injured and killed.

"I'm sorry, I will apologize to her in the morning. I know you all think of me negatively. But your mom was my best friend growing up. And she was not from the same crowd as we were, but she was the only true friend I had. And when she married your dad's best friend, things were starting to catch up to her." His mom paused to drink her wine.

"She would ask me for guidance and I would happily help her. Then her brother, your uncle, started harassing her years after you were born. He was shaking her down for money, telling her that he would spread stories about her, about her past." She took a seat when her husband patted the space beside him.

"Then one day your mom made the mistake of not paying him because she didn't want her husband to notice a large chunk of money had disappeared from her account. And that was the day he killed them both and found you hiding in the safe room. CCTV showed that your mom locked you inside just before she was killed. The next day we have our lawyer set you up to be adopted by us. You were still so little, I didn't think you'd remember."

His mom finally shed her tears, while her husband holds her hand.

"It's all my fault, I shouldn't let her marry him. If she didn't, she'd be alive right now. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I loved her, and I killed her." She was crying in their dad's embrace, while all four of her sons now know the real reason why she's adamant that they all have wives from the same circle.

Ralph knelt and took her hands in his and kissed them.

"Mom, you didn't kill her...it was my uncle. All you did was take me in as your own. Love me as your own, and I could never be grateful enough for what you did." Ralph hugged her then stands up.

Then he looked at his dad and told him the same, while his brothers stood silently in support.

"Maddie is resting upstairs, I will explain everything to her and we will start from scratch tomorrow over breakfast." He excused himself and Dale followed.

"I never knew why she hated my first wife so much, thank you, Ralph. You've grown up to be a very decent young man." Dale hugged his youngest brother.

"Decent, huh? you have very high standards, don't you?" he chuckled and walked away from him.

"Go, be with your fiance. I'll send someone up with your dinner."

Dale shook his head and let him rest for the night, while he gets back to his family and told everyone to carry on with dinner.

"Hey," Ralph greeted Madison who was standing in her sexy heels looking out the window hugging herself.

Ralph spent the next twenty minutes explaining about his family, and about his mom's relationship with his biological mom. Madison silently listens to him and was teary for a couple of moments, but she finally understands his mom. And she hugged him, letting him know that she will come for breakfast in the morning and start fresh with his mom.

"Why?" she asked confused.

"For not leaving me."

"Ralph," she sits on his lap and kissed him, but then he groans when there was a knock on his door.

"That must be our food. Stay, we'll continue this." He kissed her chastely and opened the door while she sits and greeted the older woman who usually gives them snacks when they would play together since they were kids. "Nana, thank you."

"Miss Madison," she greeted politely, though a bit confused as to why she was in his room that late at night.

"We're having a thing with mom, nana... it's all good now. Aren't you going to congratulate us? I'm going to be her husband one day."

"Oh my, congratulations I know you two were meant for each other." She nodded knowing her place within the family, but Madison hugged her and she instinctively hugged her back.

"Thank you nana, she'll be staying for breakfast. You can prepare her favorites in the morning."

The older woman smiled then excused herself and tell them to have a nice evening.

Ralph locked the door after her and back to his seat as he took her to his lap, but that time straddling him. Madison giggled but rest her hands on his broad shoulder.
