While Toby and Rocco were in the middle of the conversation, a graceful figure barged in unexpectedly.

"Toby, when are you summoning Zedbar back?"

Rocco shuddered involuntarily at the familiar voice, his hands becoming restless. What is this dreadful woman doing here suddenly?

Under his nervous gaze, the princess sauntered into the room.

Toby, on the other hand, found her arrival somewhat baffling. Why should I summon that useless waste back? To irritate me?! Besides, he and his father are the perfect partners currently coercing the Sacred Mount. That's even more reason for me not to summon him back!

With a hint of sarcasm, Toby asked, "Are you missing Mr. Zedbar, Iris?"

Initially intending to warn her-after all, the two had broken up, and she was the one who had dumped Zedbar-Toby was surprised when Iris admitted it. "Yes, I miss him! Enough talk. Summon him back!"

Ever since learning Zedbar's true identity, Iris had constantly yearned to bring him back to Everton, the center of power. Her intentions were simple: only by returning to the center of power could she vie for the throne. Moreover, she didn't just want to be queen; she craved a tumultuous and thrilling reign, an experience she had yet to taste.

Toby initially valued Iris because of her favor with their father, and their alliance was a means to gain more resources. With his grandfather's return to Everton, Toby was at the height of his influence.

After being scolded by Iris, he felt indignant and refused outright. "Zedbar is currently on an important mission, Iris. If you miss him, go find him yourself at the borders!"

Turning to leave, she caught sight of a familiar figure. "Have we met somewhere before?" Iris walked up to Rocco, scrutinizing him with slightly narrowed eyelids.

Rocco, unnerved by her aggressive gaze, tried to remain composed. "Don't we meet often, Your Highness?"

planted a kiss on Rocco's face net

"Once I've set my sights on prey, they never escape my grasp unless they never reappear in my sight. Remember that..."

As she spoke, she planted a kiss on Rocco's face, then strode out of the hall. The meaning behind her smile said it all.

Rocco instantly regretted everything.

If he had known, he would have sent

one of the four maids to meet Iris instead, likely seemed that he had become the "price," for before Iris left, she signed to him, inviting him to spend the night with her that night.

Now, he was wholly troubled.

"Mr. Rocco, I always thought you weren't interested in women. Who knew you had a thing for Iris? Your taste is... hahaha!" Mid-sentence, he burst into laughter, his face enveloped in mischief.

Just then, Toby's voice interrupted his thoughts.

Rocco could only shrug helplessly.

How could he explain this? Should

he confess to Toby that he had inadvertently revealed Prince Hayes's secrets to the princess? It was an incredibly foolish mistake, and he would needed to have a brick
