Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew) -
Chapter 3100 On the March
Zedbar didn't question Floyd's proposal much, as he found it quite enticing.
After all, he commanded nearly a hundred thousand soldiers. All schemes and conspiracies were nothing in the face of such a massive force.
Most importantly, his desire for the treasures taken from Basha's Sacred Mount years ago was intense.
Zedbar wasted no time. With a commanding gesture, he led his massive troops to aggressively advance toward the loophole location mentioned by Floyd. "What?"
When Zedran heard about what his beloved son had done, he immediately lashed out in rage.
"Get in touch with them quickly. Tell them to change course and head toward me immediately."
Zedbar's sudden change in direction had completely disrupted Zedran's plans.
Most importantly, Zedran harbored significant suspicion toward Floyd, who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere.
While Zedran was busy worrying about his son, his deputy had returned with troubling news.
They had lost contact with Zedbar's troops.
At that moment, Zedbar, whom they were so worried about, had completely deviated from the planned route.
The several-mile-long convoy kicked up swirling dust clouds as it moved across the wilderness like a sprawling dragon.
In the middle of the convoy, several big shots had gathered inside an off-road vehicle.
"Mr. Gavell, we're not exactly nobodies. Why should we take orders from a mere kid?" "Exactly. This kid clearly doesn't like us."
Enzo furrowed his brow tightly as he fixed his gaze on the armored vehicle ahead.
He was far from pleased with Zedbar. That guy had been looking down on them from the moment they met. To make the matter worse, he even mocked them as a disorderly motley crew.
However, after a moment of
reflection, Enzo consoled the others. "Our main objective of this trip is to deal with Matthew. As soon as we take down Matthew or his wife, we will be able to restore our Night Vines market.
"Let's not worry about the other matters for now. There's no need for us to do anything that might affect our chances of earning money, right?"
With Enzo's persuasion, the group's initial frustration began to subside, though the topic of conversation gradually shifted to Matthew.
"It's all the fault of that d*mned Matthew. Otherwise, I'd be sipping coffee with my lover in my arms right now, leisurely enjoying my life." "Exactly! If it weren't for him, we wouldn't be suffering like this."
"But it won't be long before we completely get rid of him, and then we can profit handsomely again."
"Exactly, exactly..."
Amid the lively chatter around him Enzo remained silent. He lay in the passenger seat and fixed his gaze unwaveringly on the lead armored convoy ahead.
His mind was preoccupied with Floyd, who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere.
Enzo had previously tried to voice his rejection of Floyd's proposal, but Zedbar simply ignored him and even resorted to forcefully throwing him out.
No matter how hard he tried, Enzo couldn't shake a nagging question in his mind.
Could there really be a loophole in the legendary Basha's Sacred Mount?
Having observed that the convoy's route was deviating increasingly from the intended path, Enzo made a spontaneous decision.
"Hey, you guys keep chatting. I'm off to grab some goods!"
With that, Enzo flicked his nearly extinguished cigar in front of everyone. Then, he leaped out of the vehicle like a cheetah with a single push.
At the rear end of the convoy, several of Enzo's underlings were stunned to see the sudden arrival of their boss.
"Mr. Gavell, what brings you here?"
Enzo did not answer his question.
After he climbed into the car, he immediately instructed the driver to
slow down, ensuring the off-road
vehicle fell to the rear of the Convoy.
As the long convoy rounded a corner, the last off-road vehicle suddenly drifted and swiftly vanished from the road without anyone noticing.
