Chapter 3183 Helen Was Injured

Helen looked at the group who seemed like bad guys and scolded, "Who are you? Shady people like you can't just appear out of nowhere and demand to see Matthew." Her shouting fueled Cyrus' frustration.

He grabbed her wrist and demanded, "I'll repeat my question. Where is he?"

His demeanor startled her. Then, she felt a surge of anger.

"I'll repeat my answer too. People like you can't just appear out of nowhere and demand to see him. I bet you're involved in shady business!"

Her sharp tongue pushed Cyrus to his limit, and he hit her chest hard.

She didn't even make a sound before she coughed up blood.

The momentum sent her flying across the compound until she lay unconscious on the ground.

Seeing her state, one of the Gloam Wing members voiced their concerns. "Commander Hale, His Majesty asked us to bring Matthew back, but you-"

Cyrus turned to glare at the member and threatened, "Are you questioning my method?"

"I dare not, Commander Hale." The member shook his head and stepped back to the group.

"We'll tell His Majesty that Matthew refused to see us and even gave us a hard time. After we failed to meet him, we had no choice but to return. Do you understand?" He turned around to face his men. He narrowed his eyes, carefully observing their faces.

He would get rid of the person if anyone showed a sign of hesitation to ensure Gadel wouldn't hear of their encounter.

"Yes, we understand," the members answered in unison.

Then, the group departed. Half an hour had passed when a young security guard found Helen.

He was patrolling when he found someone lying outside of a villa.

As he approached, he found the unconscious Helen. Blood seeped from the corner of her mouth.

"Captain, I found an injured person. She's unconscious." As he reported to the captain, he also called an ambulance.

When Matthew was waiting in the clinic, he received a call.

"May I speak with Mr. Matthew Larson?" The voice on the other end sounded urgent, making Matthew wonder if his bills were due.

"Hello, this is Matthew speaking. Is something wrong?" he asked for clarification.

"Mr. Larson, the security personnel found your injured family lying

unconscious on the ground. She has been taken to Hulwin Hospital."

Matthew frowned at the words. He recalled Helen being the only person at home. Could it be her?

"Is she a middle-aged woman with wavy hair?" he asked.

"Yes. Please come to the hospital as fast as possible."

After Matthew hung up, the crease between his brows sank deeper. Gadel's people haven't arrived, yet Helen has been injured.

"Paintaker, I need to go. You should ask someone else to help you," he announced.

Paintaker clasped his hands and smiled at Matthew. "Go ahead, Master Larson. I'll take care of things here."

Matthew nodded. He picked up his coat from the chair and entered the SUV outside.

When Matthew plucked Sylvan's hair, the latter was napping soundly in the driver's seat.

"Ouch!" Sylvan jolted awake in pain and hit his head on the roof with a dull thud.

Turning around, he found Matthew smiling at him in the back seat. Moreover, Matthew was holding a strand of hair.

He burst into tears at the sight and

grabbed Matthew's hand. "You can't

leave me, my precious hair! How could someone do this to

Matthew chuckled at his antics before ordering, "Let's go. I'll make you a conditioner that increases hair growth later. In the end, you'll get thicker and fuller hair."
