Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew) -
Chapter 3338 Endgame for the Witch Clan
The chief healer sensed his impending doom, his previously despondent voice now steady. Wielding Bloodreaper, Matthew approached him with an air of calm.
He pressed the sword's tip against the chief healer's chest and asked, "Is this how it ends for you?"
Startled, the chief healer looked up to lock his gaze on Matthew.
Before he could say anything, Matthew drove the sword's tip into him, causing a painful groan to escape the chief healer's lips. The witch clan members in Willow Alley were angry but could only stand by, feeling helpless as they watched their leader in pain. "Stop the bleeding yourself," Matthew stated coolly, pulling Bloodreaper out, miraculously free of blood.
He then gazed down at the chief healer, adding, "Consider yourself lucky that you haven't hurt anyone yet. I'll disable your meridians, so you can't use the compendium anymore. By tomorrow, get your clan together and leave Dewsbury."
The calmness of Matthew's words made the chief healer shiver. He hadn't anticipated mercy, let alone a chance to leave with his people. He thought, Isn't he worried we'll come back for revenge?
To the chief healer, Matthew seemed larger than life. Bowing deeply, he declared, "We will repay your kindness a hundredfold!"
He grasped just how far apart their levels were; Matthew's insight, power, and outlook were beyond comparison. He had consistently underestimated him, but that was no longer an option.
The sight of their leader kneeling shocked the witch clan members. One exclaimed, "That guy hurt the chief healer, and now he's bowing to him?"
"Look at that! He's taking his people with him."
"Hey! He didn't kill him! The chief healer is still alive!"
As realization dawned on the group, they hurried over happily and vigilantly helped the chief healer to his feet.
"How are you holding up, chief healer?" the lead witch asked, concern etched on their face.
With his pale complexion, the chief. healer replied, "I'm okay. Pack your things. We need to leave Dewsbury tonight."
His words stunned everyone.
"Chief healer, we've been here for decades! Why do we have to go?"
"Exactly! Chief healer, I don't want to leave."
The chief healer looked at the familiar sights with a heavy heart and insisted, "We need to leave now. Hurry up!"
Under his serious tone, the witch clan members reluctantly went home to gather their stuff.
Sitting at the entrance of the healing shop, the chief healer ran his hand over the door he had built himself.
He reflected, I never wanted to leave the city that has been my home for so many years. However, I've made grave mistakes; now it's time to face the music. I thought I might not make it through the day, but he only disabled my meridian, leaving me unable to use the skills.
Meanwhile, Cole pulled on
Matthew's hand from across the street, his face filled with curiosity. "Mr. Larson, are we really just going to let him walk away after everything he did?"
To Cole, such a big mistake deserved a serious punishment.
Matthew gently tousled Cole's hair and remarked, "Sometimes things aren't as clear-cut as they appear."
