Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew) -
Chapter 3352 My Husband is Matthew
Clara weakly nodded, her gaze drifting to Helen. She whispered, "Do you know where my husband is? It has been so long since he last saw me."
A storm of fury surged within Helen's chest, flames igniting in her eyes, threatening to spill over. Her daughter, Sasha, had been missing for days. Matthew, who wielded immense power, had yet to locate her.
It dawned on Helen that he was likely entertaining some little vixen elsewhere. Perhaps he feared Sasha would return and disrupt his dalliance with the young temptress.
"Come with me!" Helen seized Clara's wrist, pulling her toward her car with determination. Discussing such matters in a public place was simply out of the question.
"What are you doing? Let go of me!" Clara protested, her delicate frame thrashing against Helen's grasp. She struggled against Helen's firm hold, her pale face etched with helplessness. Her lips pressed tightly together, biting them to suppress the rising panic.
"I know where Matthew is. If you follow me, I will take you to him," Helen declared, her words igniting a flicker of hesitation on Clara's face. In the end, her yearning for Matthew overshadowed her doubts, compelling her to follow Helen into the distance.
Not far off, on the street, a familiar figure lingered in the shadows. It was Tritus, the second son of the Lullaby Family. After his unsuccessful confession to Roxanne, he vanished from Matthew's world. Yet, he had been plotting against Matthew from the shadows all along, struggling to find the right moment to strike.
As Tritus observed Clara being forcibly taken away by Helen, a chilling smirk flickered across his face. He had not found an opportunity until now. Now, he had finally spotted it.
In a villa in Hulwin, Helen retrieved a photograph from the counter and placed it before the ashen-faced Clara. She pointed at the image of Matthew, her voice laced with fury as she confronted Clara. "Is this your husband?"
Clara met Helen's blazing eyes and quivering finger with a flash of derision. How could such a powerful man have such a foolish mother-in-law?
"Y-Yes, that's him. He is my
husband," Clara stammered, her emotions erupting like a volcano.
She clutched the photo album to her chest, her fingers repeatedly brushing over Matthew's image, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Upon hearing Clara's confirmation, Helen's vision darkened
momentarily. A tide of rage swelled within her, mingling with a sense of helplessness. She gazed at Clara, who while not as beautiful as her daughter, possessed striking looks that could captivate anyone.
No wonder Matthew had failed to find Sasha; it seemed he had deliberately avoided it.
"Tell me everything you know about them. Every single detail." Helen's demand startled Clara, prompting her to speak hesitantly.
"I met my husband in the suburbs. He was so handsome and kind," she began, her voice trembling. "After we met, feelings quickly blossomed between us, and we called each other husband and wife."
"But he told me his wife had died and that we couldn't get a marriage certificate for three years. He said he was busy with work and had to travel often, only coming to see me once or twice a week..." Clara's words only fueled Helen's wrath further.
"Wonderful," Helen thought bitterly.
Her daughter had only just become pregnant and had gone missing. Instead of searching for her, Matthew sought solace in another woman. He even told this woman
that his wife was dead, using it as an excuse to avoid marriage.
Could there truly be only one such woman? Or had Matthew simply masked his true intentions so well that Clara was the only one to stumble into Helen's grasp?
