Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)
Chapter 3423 Emil Lodges a Complaint

"Matteo! Finally, you're here. We've got a place all set up for you," called out a hearty voice from afar.

Mack, with his vest and muscular build, approached them, his towering six-foot frame and powerful muscles giving him the appearance of a gang leader at first glance.

Matthew nodded slightly in greeting. "Mr. Mack, let me introduce you to Tertius. He's a law graduate from Dornia."

Mack flashed a friendly smile at Tertius, though his attempt at warmth looked more intimidating than intended.

Tertius, feeling the weight of Mack's intense presence, took a step back, instinctively positioning himself behind Matthew.

Mack noted Tertius' nervous retreat and gave an awkward smile.

"Mr. Mack, I heard we're short on an accountant, so I thought I'd bring Tertius along. He may have studied law, but he's also good with numbers. He'd do well as an accountant," Matthew explained.

Mack's eyes lit up as the idea dawned on him. The mountains of paperwork and endless columns of numbers had always been a source of agony for him, like an unending curse. With a competent accountant, maybe he could finally enjoy a proper meal without a headache.

"Tertius, buddy, no need to be so stiff. Come on!" he said, grabbing Tertius from behind Matthew with a big grin and pulling him close.

Under Mack's towering embrace, Tertius' six-foot frame seemed small by comparison. Feeling the pressure on his shoulders, he gulped nervously. "Uh... Mr. Mack, could you, um, loosen your grip a bit?"

Mack, however, had no intention of letting him go. Educated people were hard to come by on the West

Montiria Islands, and trustworthy t

ones were even harder. Since Matthew had brought Tertius over, he seemed reliable, and Mack wasn't about to let this rare asset slip away. What if he decided to run off?

With his arm still around Tertius, Mack led him toward the dock.

"Ouch! Mr. Mack, you're squeezing too hard!"

"Tertius, you're too scrawny. We'll have to work on that!" Mack's hearty response only drew more laughter from those around them.

Moments like this were rare on the West Montiria Islands. Most docks were ruled by ruthless, greedy men or plagued by endless internal power struggles, where it wasn't unusual for a boss to be replaced monthly.

...

The night was falling, and Emil sat sullenly at home in the residential area of the Island Watch headquarters. His appetite gone, he angrily stabbed the food on his plate, unable to shake the humiliation he'd suffered earlier. Then, footsteps approached, and his face lit up-his uncle had returned!

A man in silver-studded red armor strode in, his hooked nose and piercing eyes exuding a fierce

presence The silver studs on his et

armor were his pride; though merely decorative pieces sewn onto his red tunic, such an item was a status symbol on the island.

Emil got up, his face contorted in a mixture of anger and self-pity as he hobbled toward the man. "Uncle

Reuben! You have to avenge meet

was attacked out of nowhere today, with no provocation at all, I swear!" he wailed, clutching his bruises.
