Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew) -
Chapter 3443 Deadeye's Demise
Deadeye pulled out a miniature revolver from his waist, barely the size of a pinky finger, a weapon he'd spent a fortune custom-designing for a quick, discreet kill. Originally, it had been intended for his hated superior, the emissary, to catch him off guard and end him in one Mack, wielding his massive poleaxe, watched Deadeye draw the tiny revolver. His rugged brows knitted together, a sliver of unease creeping into his mind. That little gadget... it could kill.
swift shot. But now, he'd need to use it on Mack if he wanted any chance of survival.
Yet Mack's expression remained fearless as he stared at Deadeye. He trusted himself to dodge in the split second before Deadeye fired. Even if he did get hit, it wouldn't be a fatal shot. He'd survive, especially with Matteo, that enigma, backing him up. Based on Matteo's power alone, Mack was convinced he wouldn't die here.
"Deadeye, you son of a gun, go ahead and shoot if you have the balls!" Mack taunted, stepping closer with each word. His leg muscles tensed, ready to leap aside at any moment.
"Do you really want to push this to the bitter end, Hancock? What's in it for you?" Deadeye spat, watching Mack stride toward him, unafraid of the weapon in his hand.
Mack kept closing the distance while the Devil Guild forces lifted their weapons behind him. No matter how things ended up that day, Deadeye knew he was as good as dead. Deadeye, once brimming with menace, now resembled a desperate madman at the end of his rope.
"Is that really Deadeye, the chief of the Devil Guild?"
"No way..."
"He's actually been forced into a corner by the Veiled Assembly!"
"Looks like, after today, this island will only have two powers-the Veiled Assembly and the Emberhold Syndicate!"
Those lurking in the shadows
watched Deadeye's crazed
demeanor, his trembling hand, and the Devil Guild members behind him, who had already unlocked their weapons' safeties. Their barrels weren't aimed at their enemies,
though. They pointed straight at
their boss, Deadeye.
They couldn't let Deadeye live. If he survived and took revenge later,
none of them would get out unscathed. So, they'd

decided Deadeye had to go. Afterward, they could either relocate to another island or throw in their lot with the Emberhold Syndicate or the Veiled Assembly. They could even join the Island Watch, taking on the shield of official status.
As Mack drew closer, his poleaxe dragging a scar into the ground behind him, Deadeye's single working eye filled with a mix of despair and vicious intent. "Since you won't let me live, Hancock, you can die with me!" Deadeye's trembling finger reached for the trigger, determined to at least take Mack down with him. Bang!
A deafening gunshot shattered the air, and Deadeye's body went rigid.
Mack froze for a second, patting himself to confirm he was unharmed. With a sigh of relief, he muttered, "D*mn, nearly scared the life outta me."
Disbelief flooded Deadeye's working eye as he struggled to turn his head. The biggest surprise of his life-killed by his own man, someone he'd always considered a tool.
The man who'd initially suggested
saving him had instead pulled the trigger, coolly blowing the faint smoke from his weapon's barrel. As Deadeye's lifeless form crumpled to the ground, the man looked around at his stunned comrades. "What? Weren't you all planning to kill him too?"
