"So, Miss Madison, are you saying that Mrs Beaumont was intimately involved with your ex-fiance while you two were still engaged?" "Yes."

"But are you sure she was aware of your relationship at all? Because according to reports, Mr Erikson and Mrs Beaumont were already acquainted with each other two years earlier."

"Trust me, Emilia knew I was engaged to Matt. I met her for the first time at her grandmother's funeral. That was where Matt introduced us and I showed her my engagement ring. That didn't stop her though." The interviewer sighed sympathetically. "Please, tell us how you found out about the affair."

Molly straightened her skirt over her knee and then looked straight at one of the studio cameras. "It happened the day after the funeral. Matt had gone to fix Bertha's leaking roof." "Who's Bertha?"

"That's Emilia's grandmother. She was the one getting buried on the day I first met Emilia. She was staying

her grandmother's house at the time. So, Matt went there to fix a leaking roof and Emilia was there with her son. She invited him in

and he spent the night with her. We were supposed to go on a date that night but he never showed up and wouldn't take my calls." "Oh..."

"Yes. I was hurt and when he turned up the next morning, I asked him where he'd been and he told me the truth. I was shocked. I didn't believe him, so I went to Bertha's place to confront Emilia. Well, she shamelessly confirmed it to me." "Wow. Miss Madison, do you realize that what you're saying are some serious allegations against Mrs Beaumont."

"They're not allegations, they're true. As if that wasn't bad enough, she went on a romantic getaway with him to Connecticut. They were there all weekend!"

The talk show host glanced at the cameras with a shocked expression before returning her attention to Madison. Even the studio audience gasped and murmured.

"This is shocking," said the interviewer. She looked at the camera and said, "Miss Madison is spilling a lot of tea this morning but don't forget that you heard it here first. We'll be going on a short commercial break and when we return, we'll hear more exposé from our guest. Stay tuned."

Chloe swiped her phone screen and she went live on her social media page. As soon as notifications went out to her followers that she was hosting a live video, people began to join her virtual town hall meeting.

"Good, now that you all are here, I'd like to get a few things off my chest and lay this matter to rest forever," she said while focusing on her phone camera.

"My sister is not the demon that everyone is trying to make her out to be," she continued. "In fact, she's been a victim of circumstances ever since she married into that horrid Beaumont family."

Her virtual audience began to post questions and all kinds of emojis as reactions to her opening statement. Chloe ignored them because she wasn't there to answer anyone's question.

"Yes, she married Kane Beaumont to help her family but she's been on the receiving end of a lot of bullying, humiliation and disrespect from the Beaumonts. You all remembered what she went through with Kendra Banks back then, don't you? Let's not forget how they threw her to the wolves and later ate their words and apologized to her. The same thing is happening again and they're doing their best to destroy her image all over again."

More people joined the live stream and within minutes, there were thousands of people watching her video in real-time.

"In case you don't know, it was the Beaumonts that paid Molly Madison to do that TV interview and say all that trash about my sister. Now get this, my sister went to Norwalk in Connecticut to pursue a lead regarding her missing daughter. Matt offered to go with her because my sister's husband was too busy travelling around the world and parading his pregnant lover all over town as his brother's girlfriend. Yes, I said it. Serena Filipe is having Kane Beaumont's illegitimate child!"

She could almost hear the world gasping in shock at that bombshell revelation. She knew Emilia would be and at her for revealing this but the Beaumonts asked for it. They wanted to play dirty, so here it was. Checkmate!

"Listen, the rabbit hole goes deeper than you guys think," she continued. "but I just came here to clear my sister's name. She's not a villain. She's not an adulteress. She and Kane were already separated before she went to Wyoming. The spotlight should be on Kane Beaumont. He's the one who desecrated his marriage by bringing his lover to live under the same roof with his legally married wife. Chew on that!"

It was a perfect mic drop moment, so she ended the live stream on that note. Now, let's see how the Beaumonts come back from that.

"It's never going to end, is it?" Emilia asked tiredly.

"Well, it's safe to say that Chloe has finally put the matter to rest with that explosive live stream she did," said Matt. "I was blown away!" "I'm still mad at her for doing that. It wasn't her secret to share."

"She was trying to defend you. I'm even thinking of doing something like that to declare my undying love for you."

"Don't you dare, Matt. There's enough drama going on already as it is. Let's not add fuel to the fire."

"I'm not afraid of drama. Besides, we have nothing to lose at this point. The truth is already out and the world knows everything now."

"Still... I want this matter to die a natural death. I don't enjoy being the topic of entertainment news all over the country. I'm becoming famous for all the wrong reasons." "Ok. I won't do a live video then but that shouldn't stop me from telling you that I love you."

She paused. "Matt..."

"I know, I know. You don't feel that way about me yet but it's ok. I'm ready to wait for as long as it takes for you to come around."

Emilia didn't know what to say. She was flattered by his open declaration of love for her but it worried her also. She wasn't quite sure how she felt about him." "Hello?"

"Yes, I'm still here."

"When are you coming back to Wyoming? I miss you so much."

"Well, actually... I was thinking about getting my own place."

"That's incredible. You should do it. That shows that you're finally ready to move forward with your life."

"You think so?"

"Absolutely. So, where are you looking at? Do you still want to remain in California?"

"Yes. You can come and visit us sometime when you get a break from work."

"Sounds like a fantastic idea. I'll look forward to it."

"Great. I've got to go now, it's Travis' bedtime."

"Sure. Bye."

After ending the phone call, she sat back in her chair and thought about her conversation with Matt. Maybe he was right. It was time for her to move forward with her life.

She was certain that there was no hope of reconciliation between her and Kane anymore, not after that shocking revelation from Chloe. Besides, her affair with Matt was now public knowledge, so she might as well carry on with it openly. With her mind made up, she got in touch with a divorce lawyer and filed a petition against Kane, requesting to dissolve their marriage due to irreconcilable differences.

Her parents weren't exactly excited about this turn of events but they supported her decision regardless. Chloe on the other hand was her biggest cheerleader.

"Now, that's some boss chick move!" She said excitedly.

The court bailiff served Kane the divorce papers a couple of days later during a business luncheon happening at his office. Emilia waited patiently to hear back from her lawyer and when she did, it wasn't what she was expecting to hear. "He is contesting your petition," she was told.

"Why?"

"He says you two have unfinished business."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"I have no idea, Mrs Beaumont. You should probably meet with your husband and find out what he's talking about but he's contesting this divorce. He's not ready to let you go."

Emilia was stumped. What kind of shady game was Kane playing with her? He didn't want her but he wouldn't let her go.

Neither he nor his family has given any response to Chloe's claims and the buzz around the story was slowly dying down. It was unlike the Beaumonts to just let such a hefty accusation go unanswered.

"What the hell are you plotting Kane?" Emilia wondered aloud. "What's your next move?"
