"Grandpa, Ben spoke up.

"Leonard," Theresa reminded Leonard, who kept silent.

Theresa frowned at him. He was too indifferent!

Sarah was surprised Theresa didn't bring her own children. Speaking of which, Theresa had

never shown up with her children. 'Is she afraid to let Charlie see her children? How ridiculous! Why should she please the cripple like that?'

Johnson asked, "Where's Charlie?"

Theresa glanced back at Charlie in the car. "I'll go get him."

She walked back to the car and glanced at Charlie. "What are you doing?"

Theresa was speechless. He had been normal and nice to her when her throat hurt before. Why was he giving her a hard time now? He was so narrow-minded! "Get out. Everyone is waiting for you! Give me the cake." She hadn't known what to get Johnson and had made a cake for him at

home with the children.

Charlie picked up the cake and got out of the car. After such a long rest, he didn't need a wheelchair anymore.

Sarah was about to mock Theresa when she saw Charlie get out of the car by himself! He even carried the cake in one hand and held Theresa's hand tenderly in the other. Leah had told her

that Charlie was able to stand up, but she didn't take it seriously. The last time they met, he was in a wheelchair at Calsis's Residence. It was shocking that he could actually stand up!

Johnson offered, "Let's go inside."

Theresa said, "The children and I made this cake together. Happy birthday, dad!"

The Watson family had ruined the last birthday party. Today they were going to celebrate properly.

Johnson gave a happy smile. "Thanks. Take your seats!"

Ben and Leonard sat down on the couch.

Theresa and Charlie also came over and sat down.

Charlie took off his trench coat. He was wearing only a black suit without a tie, but he shone like

a star.

Staring at him, Sarah thought he was dazzling. She hadn't seen him like this in a long time. She felt herself falling in love with him and wanting to get his attention again. However, he was now holding Theresa's hand like he was afraid she would run away.
