Master of his heart (Max and Brielle) -
Chapter 1023
A few years back, he showed up out of nowhere with a baby in his arms. That was the only time anyone saw the kid, and where the child ended up growing up remains a mystery.
notice.
King always kept his face hidden behind a mask, exuding an intense need to control everything around him. What really gave people the creeps was his complete distrust of everyone. Even those who had been close to him for years could be disposed of at a moment's A leader who trusts no one and conquers others with wealth and brute force is a terrifying prospect indeed.
Ronald found it tough to figure out King's true intentions whenever he dealt with him. Luckily for Ronald, King seemed utterly indifferent to him. The covert activities Ronald was involved in never even registered on King's radar. Whether King just didn't care about Ronald or his schemes was anyone's guess.
However, King's demeanor did seem to shift a bit when it came to the baby he'd brought back. No one knew who the child's mother was, and King didn't strike anyone as the type to have such desires.
Ronald continued to hold a significant position in Saudi Arabia, largely left to his own devices as long as he didn't push things too far. And King? He'd show up occasionally, only concerned with maintaining his grip on power and never meddled in anything else. He seemed perpetually busy, yet in an odd, untraceable way. To this day, no one knew what he looked like. If King wanted to keep his whereabouts a secret, tracking him down was impossible.
"Seamus, I was floored when I saw Isaac's face. It's impossible for someone to look so much like Max. King hates Max's guts, so the idea of him adopting Max's kid is out of the question. Plus, you've had people dig into Brielle and Max's relationship. Before her, Max had zero women in his life; there's no way he could have a child. So, it must be King's kid, but then again, the kid also looks like Max. Unless King and Max are twins."
The foreign woman the Saudi prince married years ago could very well be Max's mother. She became queen and was disgracefully dethroned and forced to flee abroad due to Ronald's schemes. At that time, she was pregnant, likely with twins.
If they were twins, why would King harbor such hatred for Max? Initially, King's focus was all about power and how to manipulate others. But at some point, he developed a burning vendetta against someone with an almost desperate intensity.
Ronald was pleased at the time
since their goal was to control
Brielle, who had already teamed up with Max Max genuinely cared for Brielle, protecting her in ways they hadn't anticipated. By then, it was too late to monitor Brielle-an oversight on their part. However, if King targeted Max, it would
indirectly benefit them.
So Ronald suggested to King to prevent Brielle from reconnecting with the Lynch family, knowing the Dorsey family patriarch would then deal with Max. Ronald was cunning, noting King's strong aversion to Max and Brielle being together. Could it be that he had his eyes on Brielle?
But King was a master of secrecy. Disappearing for over a year and returning with a child-no one knew which woman had managed to
share his bed, especially during an et
time when he seemed to despise all women, as if betrayed. King loved power and playing mind games. He did eventually act, stopping the Lynch family from claiming Brielle, much to Ronald's relief.
They had hoped to use King to eliminate Max directly, but King hesitated, seemingly conflicted. Now, with Max dead and the Lynch family reclaiming Brielle, it mattered little to Rehald. He believed he had King figured out, manipulating him like a puppet. Yet, Isaac's
resemblance to Max was troubling. A deeper investigation into Max's identity was warranted, especially if he truly was King's twin. King's ruthless stance towards his own twin brother made him the perfect pawn for Ronald.
"Don't worry, Ronald. I'll get to the bottom of this."
After hanging up, Seamus thought about Raymond's dissatisfaction with his daughter tonight. Maybe there was an opportunity to exploit.
