Master of his heart (Max and Brielle) -
Chapter 1272
Emma had no idea why her mom was so exhausted; she just assumed it was from some physical pain.
"Mom, you should take a break. The stuff you bought is super useful. I'll use it for the stream later," Emma said, trying to soothe her mom's concerns. Peyton sighed in relief, feeling like she hadn't let her daughter down for once.
She clutched her forehead, her voice faint from the long day out and her constant stress. Clearly, she was worn out. She lay down on the couch.
"Emma, I'm gonna catch some sleep. Don't stress too much, honey. If this city doesn't welcome us, we can always go back to our small town. We'll make it work together," Peyton said, trying to sound reassuring despite her exhaustion. At least they wouldn't have to deal with people like Leona there.
Emma suddenly felt like crying but didn't know what to say.
She was scared that if she spoke, her voice would break, so she stayed quiet.
Too tired to wait for a response, Peyton fell asleep.
Emma covered her with a blanket and then turned her attention to the makeup they had bought. She had watched countless tutorials before but never had the right products to try them out.
Now, with everything she needed, she sat in front of the mirror, ready to transform herself.
Emma had imagined this moment so many times, but the cheap foundation she had used before always held her back. This new foundation, though, was amazing. Where did her mom find these products?
But she didn't have time to dwell on that and quickly got to work.
The makeup kit was incredibly thorough, even including glittery face jewels.
When Emma found the hair color spray, she was shocked. There were so many colors!
She chose pink, dyed her hair, and clipped it up casually, leaving a few strands out for a relaxed look.
Then, she picked out a black halter top and a pair of jeans.
After three hours of work, the transformation was incredible. She could hardly believe the reflection in the mirror was her.
Just then, Peyton woke up and saw a stylish woman in her living room. She was startled at first but then, recognizing it was Emma, frowned at the halter top.
"Emma, isn't that top a bit too revealing?" she asked, worried about what the small-town folks would say. Emma twirled, smiling, "Too revealing? Mom, I think it looks great. Makes my waist look super slim." Peyton, initially unsure about the bold style, decided to keep quiet seeing her daughter's happiness. "If you like it, that's what matters," she sighed, knowing well the town's people might not approve. Emma, all set, took a deep breath and headed to her bedroom to start her live stream. She was nervous, wondering if her followers would like the new look.
But as soon as she went live, the reaction was overwhelming.
Her pink hair against her tan skin, along with her voluminous locks, made a stunning impact.
The usual trolls were silenced, replaced with admiration in the chat.
"Whoa, is that Emma?! What happened?!"
"She's on fire! Can't believe I was about to roast her."
"Can that pink hair be permanent, please?! Gorgeous!"
Emma, feeling her nerves calm down, greeted her viewers, "Hey, everyone! It's Emma. Tried out this new style on a whim, might not be perfect, but I'll improve. Thanks for tuning in."
The encouragement from her fans, especially those who had suggested the makeover, filled the chat with support and generous donations. Emma, used to receiving minimal and often insulting donations, was shocked to see a big-ticket donation pop up on her screen.
A single donation of 1999, nearly
two thousand dollars, flashed
across her screen, leaving her speechless and overwhelmed by the unexpected support.
