In the professor's study, he smirked when he learned that Brielle had tumbled into the tunnels and Fisher's men had followed her. Without hesitation, he opened the hidden tunnel entrance in his room.

The idea of Fisher becoming the king of Saudi Arabia didn't interest him at all. Fisher was obsessed with avenging his son and the queen, who had died long ago. But the professor had different goals. He planned to get a hefty sum from the Lynch family and use it to live a

lavish life with Lillian.

Only Fisher had the complete map of the tunnels, but the professor had been with him long enough to have a decent understanding of them. He was confident he could find Brielle and get her out.

By the time the old king realized Brielle was missing, it would be too late.

The professor didn't care about the operatives in the tunnels. They weren't truly loyal to him; they just obeyed because he had something incriminating on them.

Hearing Bryan's voice outside, the professor quickly slipped into the tunnel and escaped.

When Bryan entered the room and saw it empty with the tunnel door open, he raised an eyebrow. Clever, he thought, to have escaped so soon. He went back to inform Fisher.

Fisher chuckled. "He thinks just because he's walked the tunnels with me a few times, he can find his way out? He underestimates the complexity of the traps I've set. Let him wander; he won't find his way out easily. Focus on using those we have underground." Bryan nodded and shifted his attention elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Brielle and Ricardo were lost in the labyrinth of tunnels, realizing that most doors led to danger. Fisher's cunning meant that most paths were traps.

Their plan was simple: wait it out. The complexity of the tunnels was their ally. Without Fisher to guide them, capturing Brielle would be difficult, especially with Ricardo by her side.

The imposter Fisher, pale and terrified, warned them, "Only one door leads to freedom; the rest hide venomous creatures, wild beasts, or diseased people. Contact with them means certain death."

Brielle wanted to kick him, but Ricardo was faster and knocked him to the ground. "You said you knew nothing before. What now?" Ricardo demanded.

Spitting blood, the imposter Fisher begged for mercy. He knew little only that Fisher had sent people out for plastic surgery to act as decoys and that the tunnels were dangerous without Fisher's guidance.

Brielle decided the imposter had no more useful information and chose to ignore him, moving ahead with Ricardo through the darkness.

After they left, the imposter burst into maniacal laughter, puzzling Brielle but not stopping her.

Exhausted, Brielle sat down to rest. Ricardo handed her a bottle of water, but she hesitated to drink, lost in thought about the imposter's sudden laughter. "Why not drink? Aren't you thirsty?" Ricardo asked.

"I'm wondering... Why did that coward laugh like that? There must be a reason," Brielle pondered, still trying to make sense of the imposter's odd behavior.
