Three days had gone by.

Brielle seemed as healthy as ever, and Dustin had planned to take her out, but she wasn't having it.

"Bro, don't you still have issues with the Lynch family to sort out? And what about Mom? Last I heard, she was missing. What's the update on that? You told me not to worry, but I can't help it. I don't want her in danger."

Seeing his sister, still fragile from her sickness yet so worried about the family, made Dustin's throat tighten with emotion.

Truth be told, Dustin hadn't cried much over the years, except for when Brielle first went missing. Back then, he had clung to their parents, sobbing and blaming them for not watching her closely enough. But one night, he overheard his mom crying quietly and realized how unfair his accusations had been.

His mom was the last person in the world who would want any harm to come to Brielle. She had endured the pain of bringing her into the world.

Dustin, on the other hand, had only talked to his sister through the expanding curve of his mom's belly, separated by a thin layer of skin.

His sacrifices paled in comparison to what his parents had given up; he had no right to blame them.

Since then, he had been determined to find his sister.

But the world was a vast place, and there had been no news for years.

It wasn't until Dummy's true identity was revealed that he realized someone close had been misleading them all along.

Now, with the Lynch family issues still unresolved, he didn't want Brielle caught up in it. But was his overprotective instinct really what was best for her?

If he hadn't been so cautious before, Brielle wouldn't have stayed in Beaconsfield and gotten into trouble, and maybe Max wouldn't have been hurt.

But he had to respect Brielle's choices, so this time, he took her hand seriously and asked her.

"Do you want to come with me to North America? That's your home."

Brielle smiled and then blushed a little.

"Sure, once Max gets back, I'll bring him over too."

Dustin's smile faded instantly, forcing a tight-lipped, "Okay."

But he knew Max was never coming back.

"Bro, don't worry about me. I'm not going to get into trouble, and I've got Stellar Stage Entertainment to look after. I feel like I can't just leave it behind. Aubree and Ricardo's movie made three billion at the box office, putting it in the top twenty of the industry. Stellar Stage Entertainment needs me right now. I can't leave at this moment, but I promise, I'll come to North America soon."

To prevent him from overthinking, Brielle quickly made a promise.

Dustin, however, didn't want to leave. He couldn't bear the thought of going through such a loss again.

"Bro, you should go back. If the Lynch family's troubles aren't settled, I'll be worried sick here. And grandma must be anxious, right?"

During their talk, Dustin realized that Brielle remembered everything except for the fact that Max perished in a fire.

In her mind, Max was just away on business with an uncertain return date.

Uncertain return.

She thought he was worried about her, so she softened her tone.

"Here's the deal, I'll come to North America in a week. No matter whether Max is back or not, I'll come to see you." Only then did Dustin agree.

"Okay."

Now that the Dorsey family had collapsed, with Michael lying half-dead in the hospital, babbling like a madman, it seemed unlikely anyone would target Brielle. Dustin could breathe a little easier

Ramey was right; she needed to be allowed to interact with others. Clinging too tightly could lead to trouble.

As much as Dustin hated leaving, he departed that very night.

He had Raymond keep an eye on certain individuals, but he couldn't put off grandma, who had been clamoring to come to Beaconsfield for a month. With the current chaos there, it would only upset the old lady.

BUMS

Grandma had only just recovered her health and wouldn't listen to Raymond, only to Dustin.

Dustin had no choice but to go and calm her himself.

And there was that woman, always trying to cozy up to grandma; he didn't know what game she was playing.

Within a month, Dustin had thoroughly cleansed his Beaconsfield operations of any chance of another Dummy incident.

But he still felt it wasn't enough, so before leaving, he made every effort to warn Brielle.

"Don't talk to strangers, always remember to bring a bodyguard wherever you go, and never let yourself be at a disadvantage."

Brielle readily agreed, and on the night Dustin left, she moved to Premier Palace.

Patrick was still at Premier Palace and, surprised to see her, thought she would be going back to North America with him. Brielle saw the bags packed in the living room and paused slightly.

"Are you leaving soon?"

Patrick nodded, "The boss isn't here anymore, and I'm eager to take over the reins at DreamTech Designs. They're pushing for me to start as soon as possible. Ms. Brielle, I've called Brent back to assist you. If you need anything, just let him know. Also, Mr. Hua will be here to take care of you as well."
