After giving it some thought, Sophia reclined in her chair and replied to Bruce,

Sophia played with her nails as she tapped them lightly on the desk. She struggled to come up with a way to to convince Bryan to let her go before eight o'clock.

She could not make it last time. Most of the time, she spent time with Bruce in the library during her class break to work on the project. But not always, only two of them could work.
