“Hey, Breda.” Arabella stopped her when her eyes landed on her while she was walking towards the Wylder’s office. She quickly reached near her to tell her about the garden incident, so that Breda could get that chair fixed. After all, she was a beta female and held some power in the pack.

“You did what?”

“Ssshhh… don’t shout or everyone will hear us,” Arabella said, looking around, though not a lot of people were there but they were busy minding their own damn business until Breda exclaimed loudly. “Look, I’m sorry. I was not planning to destroy pack properties.” She apologized.

“It just happened when I was super duper pissed, and the next thing I knew was that I ripped that heavy sitting chair from the ground and threw it like Thanos threw the Hulk as if he weighed nothing.” She explained and got confused, wondering who the hell was now Thanos and the Hulk.

She just hoped that Breda wouldn’t end up asking who they were because she would have no answer to that question.

“It looks like you’re a Marvel fan.”

“Marvel’s fan?” Arabella looked at her in confusion. She felt like she had heard this name before but couldn’t recall where.

“Actually..” Breda was going to explain to her in detail when she stopped before speaking, “Alpha Miller is waiting for you in the office.” She said.

“Oh, shoot!! I totally forgot.” Arabella muttered, rushing towards the office. Breda didn’t tell her that Wylder’s voice was full of worry, and he actually had asked Breda to check on Arabella. “Can you fill me in a little about this Marvel thing?”

“Nah. I will show you tomorrow because Marvel movies are feeling.” Breda said.

“Sounds like a movie date to me.”

“True.”

“Wow! I can’t wait for tomorrow. Okay. See you later.” Arabella ran from there. A big smile that appeared on her lips with the thought of a movie date with Breda disappeared soon because she got the feeling of deja vu again.

She had done this before. She had watched Marvel movies on her date, but with whom?

She was expecting to get a scolding from Wylder, but she didn’t. She didn’t miss noticing that he looked fresh now as if he had taken a shower instead of changing her clothes.

Guilty of throwing coffee at him?

Nah.

He behaved like a jerk.

Looking at the desk, she fumed in anger again, but she ignored it and focused on explaining the details of the people’s faces whom she had seen.

“Zahir, order a new desk for my office and replace it with this one,” Wylder said, to which Zahir looked at him in surprise. Zahir was also present in the office, doing his paperwork.

Wylder didn’t miss how Arabella turned to look at him. She had masked her expression, but the way her heartbeat increased, he could tell that his decision indeed affected her mood.

She turned around and resumed giving Aiden the description.

‘What the hell was that?’ Zahir asked through the mental link.

‘What? This desk is too old and belonged to the previous Alpha. So, I’m getting a new one.’ Wylder responded, shrugging his shoulders.

‘I believe you if that is true.’ Zahir didn’t argue with him, but it wasn’t that he was born yesterday. ‘I would have taken it to my house to use it, but Breda would have burned it down into ashes because it had the scent of another female.’

‘Really?’

‘Yup!’

Wylder looked at Arabella and wondered whether she was feeling the same way. ‘You can go and join everyone at the dinner table. Ara and I will be eating here once this shit is done.’ He mind-linked Zahir, looking at the time.

He would have given a break to Arabella and Aiden as well, but didn’t they already have coffee together? Night was not happy with that, but he just couldn’t go and stop her from doing whatever she wanted while his human f****d Tiara on his desk.

Tiara was his second-chance mate now. He could feel that with her touch and the spark between them, but something was still off.

‘Mate bond connects anyone to both a human’s body and a wolf’s soul. And generally, wolves try to find a wolf in their mates.’ Wylder suggested. ‘I think you’re missing Dora. Knowing that she was there before but not now.’

‘Don’t try to influence me with your words, human. I know we wolves want a wolf as our mate, but it is not always mandatory. I’m telling you that something is wrong with Tiara. I have observed her since she was eight. Just like a dog can never fail to recognize his master, even after years, I too can’t fail to sense that something is wrong.’

‘So, you’re calling yourself a dog.’

‘In this case, yes, I’m ready to become a dog too.’ Night muttered, even though calling him a werewolf or Lycan was like an insult. ‘Keeping the mate bond aside, use your mind because you’ve also observed her very closely.’

‘I won’t disappoint you again.’

After a couple of hours, the sketches of eight people were ready.

“No, the scar on his face was near his eyes,” Arabella said. “You are doing this wrong.” She added.

Arabella came forward and took the pencil from his hand. She started drawing the scar on her own.

Aiden was about to speak when Wylder glared at him, silently asking him to shut his mouth. Wylder observed how she was holding and moving the pencil. He watched Arabella close her eyes, and her hand moved like a pro. A lone tear rolled out of her eyes, but her hand didn’t stop even for a second.

“His scar was like this.” She said, opening her eyes.

Wylder opened the drawer of his desk and grabbed the paint that he had bought for Tiara but never got a chance to give her, nor did he throw it away.

“Here!! Use this to paint the faces of other people because Aiden’s hands started aching from sketching for so long?” Wydler spoke, offering her the paint box.

“My hand is aching?” Aiden asked in confusion, and when he received another glare from Wylder, he nodded his head. “Yes!! My hand…” He whimpered in fake pain, massaging his hand.

“But how can I? I don’t know how to paint. Can we just take a break and…”

“No!! I don’t have a lot of days to waste.” Night growled at Arabella, who glared back. She knew that she should be scared of him after what that beast did during their first meeting.

But didn’t he tell her later that he would never hurt her intentionally?

At the same time, he didn’t hurt her even when she broke a vase on his head.
