“I had asked you to solve my problem, not increase it,” Wylder said, blaming Griffin for confusing him more than he was before. “Eliam is my best friend. I can’t believe that he can do anything like that unless someone is doing this to trap him.” He said, to which Griffin grinned, showing his three teeth in the front.

‘Why’re you trusting him blind?” Night growled.

‘Because I know him. If he really had been involved in all this shit, then he would have done something like this before as well. Why would he have waited for four years to kill me?’ Wylder questioned him and mind-linked Eliam.

‘I’m thinking of making you an Alpha of this pack.’

‘What? Why? What did I do wrong? Punish me by throwing me into the cell for a month, but not with this title. Ben Parker said that with great power comes great responsibility. So, there is no way I’m becoming Alpha.’ He whined like a child who didn’t want to work a lot.

Because if an Alpha had the power to rule a pack, then he or she had a responsibility as well.

‘I will surely make you an Alpha if you won’t start locking your room.’ Wylder growled at him. Eliam couldn’t understand why Wylder said anything like that on such a tiny matter.

‘I don’t get it. There is not a single expensive thing in my room. So, there is no chance of theft. Is everything all right?’

‘No. “Things related to black magic are found in your room,” Wylder growled at him again.

‘I swear I didn’t…’

‘I know that. Start locking your room and checking the CCTV footage of the corridor to see who went into your room in your absence.’ Wylder ordered, cutting him in between.

‘Glad that you have got that much faith in me, or I will have resigned from my post.’ He said it dramatically.

‘Get back to your work.’ With that, Wylder closed his mind and looked at Griffin. A long drool was hanging out of his mouth. Wylder wiped it again with a smile before teasing him.

“Are you going to drool in the same way while staring at your mate?”

“Mama.” He spoke.

“I’m not taking you near Lee until you help me, little one.” Wylder said sternly: “And in return, I will visit Arabella if that is what you want then.” Hearing this, Griffin again tried to jump from his arms. Wylder took him in the direction he was going, thinking he was taking him to another clue, but his jaw dropped when he found himself in front of the kitchen.

“Here is the next clue,” Wylder asked, on which Griffin clapped his hand with a big smile on his face.

“Hello, Alpha. Dinner is almost cooked. Do you need anything?” Gavin asked, bowing his head in front of Griffin. Wylder arched his brow when Gavin explained, “I’m sorry, Alpha. That was my wolf, Alpha.”

“Don’t be sorry. I guess everyone’s wolves can recognize him even when his powers are not really activated.” Wylder paused before continuing, “I don’t need anything.”

With that, he looked at Griffin, who was clapping and pointing his finger toward Potato.

“Aaa.. oo.. Aa..”

“You want to eat a potato?” Wylder asked on which occasion Griffin blabbered again.

“Give me five minutes, Alpha. I will prepare something for the future king.” Gavin said, getting excited that he had this moment in his life.

After ten minutes, there were varieties of dinners for Griffin on the tray in small quantities. From diced tofu, cooked green vegetables, rice, and potatoes to mashed fruits

Wylder made him sit on the table, and he himself settled on the chair to feed him, but Griffin grabbed the mashed potato quickly with his fist and brought it near his mouth to eat it.

“Let me feed you or all your clothes will get dirty,” Wylder said, touching his food, but Griffin smacked his hand, glaring at him.

‘We werewolves don’t like getting disturbed during our food.’ Night said. Wylder silently sat there, watching him eat. His clothes and face were getting dirty, but Griffin didn’t care.

‘I need a fresh one-year-old boy cloth in the kitchen.’ Wylder’s mind linked everyone, knowing that those who didn’t have a pup or were single would ignore it.

After Griffin’s dinner, Wylder changed his clothes and washed his hands and face before making him wear fresh clothes.

The moment he was done, he saw Griffin yawning, ready for sleep.

“You can’t do this to me, little one. You can’t sleep without helping me.” Wylder said, watching his sleepy eyes. “Pleaseee,” he requested, “I’m taking you near Tiara. Give me any signal if she is not your aunt.”

Wylder felt bad using a pup, but after observing that that little pup could smell just like an adult or better, his gut feeling was telling him that Griffin’s involvement would be helpful to him.

“Guess who is here?” Wylder said, entering Tiara’s room, where she was done with her dinner.

“Finny!!” Tiara said in excitement. “Come here, sweetheart.”

Wylder pressed his lips tightly with a smile, observing her excitement. She was behaving just like Tiara.

“There you go,” he said, passing Griffin to her, and he happily went into Tiara’s arms. “Careful,” he mumbled, helping her hold him with one hand as her other shoulder was dislocated.

“Aww, my Finny is kissing me,” Tiara said when Griffin leaned towards her face and his lips touched her cheek.

‘This wasn’t what we were expecting. Do you really think that he is giving us the right signal?’ Night asked, but before Wylder would have answered anything, Tiara hissed in pain. “Aahh… Finny, you’re biting me.” She softly pushed him away, but Griffin grabbed her hair in his tiny fist, pulling it tight.

“Ouucchh… Finny!” She cried Wylder suppressed his laughter while Griffin grinned, showing his teeth.

“Thank you, little one.”
