Nathan still came home late, this time with Naina trailing behind him. Nathan thought the girl would immediately head to her room. However, upon meeting her grandmother, Naina cheerfully exclaimed, "We had dinner at Tasya's house. Tasya's homemade spicy chicken is so delicious, Grandma."

Her granddaughter was really excited, especially when talking about Tasya. Even though it was interspersed with a displeased tone due to the presence of an uninvited guest in Tasya's house, it didn't diminish Naina's enthusiasm in speaking. Sunny had been paying close attention to everything Naina had been saying since earlier.

"Actually, Grandma, I'm pretty sure Tasya doesn't like her guest. She looked as grumpy as Merry when she's forced to talk to the neighbor from across the street. But why didn't the guest leave right away?" Naina grumbled, her hands clenched in frustration, and her lips pouting.

"Maybe they had some business to attend to," Sunny replied, lovingly patting her granddaughter's head.

"Yeah, maybe. I didn't eavesdrop on their conversation. It wouldn't be polite, right, Grandma, to eavesdrop on other people's conversations?"

Sunny laughed. "My granddaughter is smart."

"I'm trying to focus on my homework even though I keep asking Tasya questions. It's tough, Grandma. Don't scold me," Naina interjected quickly, knowing that Sunny might advise her to stay focused. How could she concentrate on absorbing Tasya's explanations when her eyes were drawn to the unwelcome guest? Naina was annoyed, really annoyed!

And Naina continued to talk about her activities at Tasya's house, making Sunny appreciate the closeness between the two of them. Few people could understand Naina's stubbornness. Even Sunny herself sometimes struggled because Naina was not easy to handle.

Sunny had many regrets, especially concerning Naina. She hadn't spent much time with her granddaughter. Instead, she distanced herself and demanded a lot, seemingly oblivious to the loss that had occurred in her granddaughter's life. That's why if someone could win Naina's heart as closely as Tasya had, she wouldn't stand in the way.

Especially her son. So that they could be together. Living a new life that she believed would end happily. It wasn't just her desire to see Noah Sinclair and Jannet Sinclair happy, but also Nathan. Both Noah Sinclair and Nathan were her pride and joy. Her beloved sons.

"I'm going to bed now, Grandma. I'm sleepy," Naina said as she rubbed her eyes. "I have to wake up early tomorrow because Tasya promised breakfast together."

Upon hearing that, Sunny glanced at Nathan, full of questions. He just grinned without guilt, confirming Naina's statement. Sunny shook her head in amazement and said, "You really enjoy troubling Tasya in the morning."

"Tasya doesn't mind, Grandma," Nathan laughed. He let Naina leave them alone and settled into his seat, feeling like his mother wanted to talk to him.

"Are you sure?" Sunny didn't want to interfere too much in matters related to Faldom. Even though her ears had been ringing with thoughts about her son's workplace for the past few days.

Alexa often contacted her to share stories about Faldom. Maybe it was because Alexa's mind was filled with thoughts, and she was shocked by Farhan's actions, which made her keep talking about Faldom. Alexa was disappointed with Farhan's attitude towards Faldom. He was willing to do dirty deeds on the office that her daughter had worked hard to build. In the end, Yeny realized that money could blind anyone. It didn't matter how much time they had spent together or the relationships they had formed. As long as their side benefited, it didn't matter if it harmed others.

Then their conversation shifted to Nathan's work plans. It wasn't a bad thing; in fact, Alexa fully supported Nathan's decision.

"Sure about what?" Nathan asked, looking at his mother in surprise.

"Mrs. Alexa has shared a lot with me about your work plans at Faldom. She thinks everything you've planned is excellent and well-directed. She supports one hundred percent of whatever you plan to do." Nathan still didn't want to talk much, other than continuing to look at his mother.

"But if you get busier, when will you get married?"

"Oh my God, Mom!" Nathan was clearly taken aback. "Where did the marriage conversation come from?"

"So, you don't want to marry Tasya?"

"I do, Mom," Nathan replied quickly. "But not right now. I'm dealing with Faldom, and, as Mom said, there's a lot to be done. That's true. And I still have a lot to prove to show Tasya that I'm serious." "You're such a playboy."

"Mom!" Nathan couldn't believe what his mother had just said.

"Don't take too long. You're getting older, and so is Tasya. One year is enough to prove your seriousness to Tasya. Don't play around anymore. Don't make me worried about the women around you, either," Sunny sneered. "Nothing is going right with all of this."

"If everything is settled, I'll invite her and introduce her as my future wife, Mom," Nathan calmly replied.

"Introduce Tasya to Mama officially tomorrow."

"If she agrees," Nathan adds.

Sunny immediately gave an incredulous look. "What do you mean she might not agree?"

"If only Mama knew what happened two days ago." Nathan said this softly, intentionally, while enjoying a cup of coffee that Merry had just served.

"What?" Sunny asked, more concerned. "What happened?"

"Nothing, Mom," Nathan grinned. "Just relax. When the time is right, I'll bring Tasya and introduce her officially to all of you. I don't want to have a serious relationship without your blessing."

Sunny smiled broadly then. Suddenly, the image of Noah Sinclair came to her mind. The first time she asked for permission to introduce her chosen girl to her mother. As for Nathan, when it came to Tasya, Sunny was clearly in agreement from the beginning. She knew who Tasya was, her actions, her sincerity, her patience, and, most importantly, how she behaved in front of Naina. That was more than enough for her.

"Of course, Mama will approve if it's with Tasya," she patted her son's shoulder.

Nathan smiled in agreement with his mother's words. There was actually a lot he wanted to say, including his decision to no longer work at Faldom. Maybe when the Sidoarjo project was finished or some new projects could be handled by the relevant parties. Where Faldom could return to its normal activities.

At least... his mother was right; one year.

Proof to Tasya and preparation for his resignation. In that one year, he could plan many destinations with Tasya. Naina? She would definitely come along. He wouldn't leave the child alone. He would find a school for her that was flexible, as long as it allowed her to move from one place to another without compromising her education. Molded by parents who were aware of the importance of education, interests, and talents, that's what Nathan would apply to Naina. Then, the places he would visit with Tasya had to be exciting, exotic, offering experiences that were equally interesting, and could generate income without sitting behind a desk all the time. Not always busy with many meetings and reports that Nathan had to review immediately.

It must be enjoyable, right?

"Why are you grinning like that, Nathan?"

Suddenly, the smile and beautiful daydreams faded away. Nathan even blinked in confusion as his mother looked at him with a puzzled expression.

"What were you daydreaming about?"

"I-I wasn't!"

"Eh!" Sunny was astonished. "Why the evasive look? You must have been daydreaming about all sorts of things! Mama will tell Tasya to keep an eye on you!"
