What I do know is that he’s immature and overly possessive.

She paused to steady her breath, her resolve clear.

“I’m done.

We’re simply not right for each other.

Rosalynn frowned slightly, recalling her conversation with Hutton.

He had explained a lot, but she didn’t press him further about that female colleague of his.

Because she had always believed in Hutton, assuming the alleged affair was a misunderstanding.

Yet, Valeria’s revelations suggested there might be more to the story.

Rosalynn ventured cautiously, “Isn’t that woman merely a colleague of Hutton’s?”

Valeria’s expression chilled further.

“No, she’s his alumnae and has been pursuing him for years.

She started an internship at his company two months ago, and I’ve caught them flirting more than once.

”

She pondered the situation but struggled to accept that Hutton could be unfaithful.

“But Hutton isn’t that type of man.

Did you actually catch them together intimately?”

Hutton had confessed to Rosalynn that he had drunk too much the previous night, and the woman had taken advantage of his inebriated state.

However, nothing had happened between them.

It was merely unfortunate timing that Valeria walked in on them.

Men have urges they sometimes can’t control.

If they lack restraint, they succumb to temptation.

Hutton is young and full of vigor, and I was not in a condition to fulfill his needs while pregnant.

He might have resisted once, maybe twice, but not indefinitely.

“Hutton, please don’t send me away.

Suddenly, the sound of Hutton shouting outside the room interrupted them, accompanied by a woman’s pleading voice.

Startled, Rosalynn moved toward the door to investigate the commotion, but just as she reached it, the door swung open.

Lyndon entered, laden with several bags.

“Breakfast’s ready, Rosalynn,” Lyndon announced, placing the breakfast on the table.

Rosalynn thanked him and asked, “Who’s at the door?”

“A lady,” Lyndon replied.

A lady? Rosalynn raised an eyebrow, eyeing Valeria, who seemed lost in thought.

“It must be Taliyah Finch, I bet! How dare she show up here?”

Valeria fumed, trying to get up from bed.
