Flustered, she pulled the blanket up and asked, “Where are my clothes?”

Holding a silk nightgown, he offered, “Do you need help putting this on?”

“No!” Maggie responded sharply, her expression guarded.

Ignoring Maggie’s refusal, Sanford pulled her close with a mischievous grin and helped her into the nightgown.

“When a woman says no, she means yes! I remember that clearly,” he declared.
