Oliver remained silent, bearing Elijah’s brusque mood, still offering the phone persistently.

It’s definitely something to bring up, Mr.

“Indeed, definitely something to bring up, if only to confirm she hasn’t borrowed it from those so-called friends of hers.” Elijah mulled over this, his gaze clouded with a flicker of scorn.

“I possess my own phone.” Elizabeth had already excised his name from her blacklist; thus, there was no need for him to borrow Oliver’s phone to contact her.

He retrieved his phone and initiated a call.

The moment the call connected, Elizabeth’s frosty voice struck him like a bitter wind.

“I’ve repaid you for Grandma’s medical bills.
