My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey) -
Chapter 2672
Yesseca thought that this was a good idea.
She had also met quite a number of wealthy people as her career progressed throughout the years.
Save for a small handful of them, the rest of these elite people were horribly arrogant and contemptuous.
Schools were small samples of the kind of society this country had.
If a child were enrolled into an elite school, they were likely to be surrounded by other children who were stuck up and arrogant.
Yesseca recalled how arrogant Sabrina was.
Even though she hadn't seen Sabrina in the past couple of years.
She still had a very clear memory of what Sabrina was like.
"She'll be fine." Yesseca comforted Selina.
Selina smiled, "You really think so? Alright then, it's settled."
Meanwhile Somewhere in the suburbs, Dory was getting ready to go to school.
She was able to attend classes at primary school thanks to Yesseca.
Yesseca's business had grown exponentially in the past few years. She then donated a portion of her earnings to Aimeen every year.
Aimeen also came to realize something.
Yesseca was only giving her money because she had Dory.
That's why she decided to keep Dory.
She also made sure to follow everything Yesseca advised her to.
For example, Yesseca told her that Dory should go to school. Aimeen had planned on keeping the money for herself but not actually enrolling Dory to school at all. But she realized that if Yesseca found out, she'd stop giving her money! She couldn't have that!
So after thinking about it, she decided to sign Dory up for school.
She even picked out a well known school in Agaphen City.
Although there primary schools in the suburbs, they weren't good enough.
Aimeen did this for two reasons.
The first was to test to see if Yesseca still cared about her daughter.
Sending your child to a good school was a very important decision for any parent.
The second reason was to get even more money out of Yesseca.
Schools in the city were much more expensive than the ones in the suburbs after all. Once everything had been sorted out, Aimeen called Yesseca.
Firstly, she told Yesseca that Dory wanted to go to a school in the city. She then made up a lie about how difficult it was for her to get Dory enrolled, especially how much money it had cost her.
"These schools in the city don't just take in any child." Aimeen
emphasized, "Miss Cowell, you have no idea how many people I had to bribe to get my daughter this opportunity. I've used up all of my savings for her!"
Aimeen then continued, sounding very noble, "But I don't mind. This is for my daughter after all. So long as she gets a good education at a good school, then it's worth every dollar I've spent!"
Yesseca was very happy to hear that Dory would be attending a primary school in Agaphen City.
If Aimeen hadn't been able to, she would have done the same thing for Dory anyway.
Primary schools were very different from kindergartens. The kind of school she went to would play a very important role in her development.
"Then I'll send you some more money. Use it to buy Dory a new set of uniforms and a schoolbag as well. She'll feel very proud to go to school then." Yesseca offered kindly. Aimeen couldn't contain herself when she heard that Yesseca was going to give her even more money.
She replied, "That's... that's wonderful! Thank you so much Miss Cowell. I assure you I won't spend your money unnecessarily. It will be for Dory's use."
Yesseca transferred the money into Aimeen's account.
Aimeen took the money, bought herself a new dress, a new handbag and some makeup she saw from a commercial. She then took twenty dollars from her purse. She told Dory to use it to buy her school supplies.
Even though it was only twenty dollars, Dory was very happy to have it.
