Clark suspected that Cole's accident wasn't accidental. He had been looking into Cole's route that night, but most of the surveillance footage had vanished over time. Finding out what had happened to Cole that night was getting tougher.

"Esther, take care of yourself and Mr. Felix. I'll keep investigating," he said.

Esther nodded and replied softly, "Clark, your help means a lot."

"Mr. Thomas has been kind to me. It's the least I can do." Clark recomposed himself, then opened the car door for Esther and Felix.

Esther held Felix's hand and stepped out gracefully.

"Sunshine!"

Felix spotted Sunshine in the distance and ran excitedly toward her. Sunshine ran toward him, and the two children warmly hugged, expressing their joy at reuniting.

Watching the emotional reunion, Xara and Jacob's exhaustion from the long flight disappeared.

"Esther," Xara called out.

Esther walked over to Xara and Jacob, her eyes slightly red as she smiled and greeted them. "Xara, Jacob."

Capitus was freezing, covered in white snow. Jacob and Xara wore thick fur coats.

"It's cold. Shall we go inside?" Esther suggested.

"Sure."

Steffan had brought Xara and Jacob to Capitus for medical treatment. They were willing to try anything as long as it gave Jacob hope.

"Mr. Sanderson," Esther greeted Steffan politely.

Steffan responded with a cold hum.

Watching the kids play in the distance, Xara couldn't wait any longer. She asked, "Esther, when can Jacob meet your mentor?"

Steffan added, "Money's not an issue."

Steffan was willing to pay any amount to cure Jacob's illness.

Further away, Felix excitedly gave Sunshine and Jacob the gifts he had bought. They were delighted to receive them.

"I texted Dr. Foster on my way here, and she said we can visit anytime."

Hearing this, Xara turned to Steffan and said, "Let's go now."

"Shouldn't you rest a bit after the long flight?" Esther asked in concern.

Xara shook her head, looking worried. "I'm worried about Jacob." "Alright, let's go now."

Since there were many people, Steffan arranged for an MPV that could comfortably fit adults and children.

Upon seeing Sunshine, Felix excitedly recounted everything that had happened when she wasn't with him. Sunshine had been staying at the Sandersons' home recently and had been treated like a little princess by the family. The sweet voices of the two kids filled the car.

In contrast to Xara and Steffan's nervousness, Jacob appeared unfazed, as if nothing had ever happened. He listened quietly to Sunshine and Felix's casual chatter, playing with a Rubik's Cube. He seemed as calm as a tranquil sea.

The group arrived at Agatha's clinic.

Agatha had experienced imprisonment and had let go of worldly desires. She had withdrawn from the center of power and set up her home in the mountains on the outskirts of Capitus.

She lived a simple life, cultivating medicinal herbs in the most primitive way and providing medical care to the nearby villagers when she was free. She had found peace and contentment in her quiet life.
