My Jealous Alpha Stepbrother -
Chapter 148
Alex
As soon as Tarryn and I make it out of the pack dungeons and into the forest, I tug her to my front. Part of me still can’t believe she came here to save me. What a woman! She might only be five-feet-nothing, but she is brave.
And adorable.
Loyal.
Fierce.
No.
Scratch that.
Tarryn is a dork, but I love that. During my time in the dungeons, I’ve missed the way she makes oink-oink sounds when she laughs, and how tight she holds me at night. She has been so missed and I can’t hold back my emotions, not anymore. My hands are itching with the overwhelming need to touch her, and I press her to my chest where she belongs.
I’m the luckiest man alive, and she needs to know!
“I can’t believe you came for me,” I squeeze her, and rub myself against her, trying to get her scent all over me. “My knight in shining armor.”
Even in the dim light coming from the full moon, I can see a soft blush color her cheeks as she shyly smiles up at me. “Knight in shining armor?”
“Yes,” I grin widely down at her. Her hand is on my chest, and I place my larger one over hers, squeezing it. “You’re my hero, Tarryn.”
“… you’re making me blush.”
I smile. “Am I?” How fun.
“Mhm, it’s embarrassing to be called someone’s hero. It feels like you’re overexaggerating and don’t mean it.
“But I do! You are my hero!” I chuckle. “You saved me!”
“It’s not like you were stuck there. Josie would have let you leave if you asked her. Misha too. But you stayed because you felt as if you weren’t safe around other people.”
“True, but… now that we are leaving together and you’re willing to sacrifice a life in your hometown to be with me, it really does feel like you’ve saved me.”
Her eyes widen and I watch as her cheeks turn redder.
Adorable.
While Tarryn’s face burns in embarrassment, I let my hands roam all over her soft little body. I’ve had my hands on every area of her skin, but it feels like ages ago, and touching her soothes my soul. I’ve missed this little lady so much!
“You don’t have to be shy with me,” I lean down to hug her better, digging my nose into her dark hair with a big smile on my face. “I’m your mate.”
Tarryn shudders, but says nothing. I take the opportunity to lightly squeeze her breast and touch her all over. It makes my c**k go rock hard. I can’t help it. My mate turns me on and Tarryn could probably make me come from her voice alone.

As soon as Tarryn and I make it out of the pack dungeons and into the forest, I tug her to my front. Part of me still can’t believe she came here to save me. What a woman! She might only be five-feet-nothing, but she is brave.
I wouldn’t be surprised.
I tighten my arms around her. “I’ve missed you so much, and being in that prison cell… it made me forget just how much. But now, when you’re here? My heart is about to explode! You’re everything to me. EVERYTHING!”
As I rub my slightly bearded chin against her, she laughs. “So clingy. You’re also heavy, and oww, so damn sharp! Haven’t you shaved your face?”
“No…” I pause for a moment, frowning. “Does it bother you?”
I don’t know what to do if she hates the stubble I’m currently sporting. Probably sulk since I have nothing to get rid of it with. But to my relief, Tarryn grins widely up at me and hugs me back with her delicate, little arms. It feels so good that I find myself picking her up, and she laughs in surprise and places her hands on my shoulders.
“You’re such a softie.” Tarryn says while looping her legs around my waist, and holding on like a koala climbing a tree.
My lips curve higher. “Admit that you like it.”
“I do.”
“Good, because I’ve missed you a lot and when we are alone, I will show you just how much by f*****g devouring your cunt.”
Her eyes widen, then she smiles wider, blushing. “I love it when you act as if I’m irresistible. It makes me feel pretty, even though I’m not.”
I frown at her while walking further into the forest. “You are pretty. Beautiful even. The most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen.”
“No, I’m not pretty, or beautiful or gorgeous. I have never been. I’ve always been that unpopular, nerdy girl that nobody wishes to date, but that doesn’t bother me.”
“You’re delusional if that’s the view you have of yourself. I liked you before I knew you were my mate, Tarryn. I stalked you in the corridors. Watched you from afar and hoped you would notice me, the guy who read the same books as you.”
“Yeah, yeah, you’ve told me this already,” she giggles and tries to brush it off. “You’ve been my fan since forever, and blah blah.”
I glare at her. I’m not mad, just irritated. “If you remember what I’ve told you, then you should know that I found you just as pretty in the past as I do now. You’re a catch, and I dislike it when you undervalue yourself. More than that, it pisses me off. You’re cute, okay?”
“I’m cute?”
“Uh-huh.” Tarryn frowns, and I laugh at her. “You don’t don’t like me calling you cute?”
“I would prefer the word sexy…”
I bite back a laugh at the fire in her eyes, amused by her expression. “Sweetheart, you’re cute and you have incredible curves that turn me on, but I think you’re more cute than sexy and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Your short, curvy little body is pure perfection.”
She squints her eyes at me before leaning in, resting her head in the crook of my neck as I carry her deeper into the forest. I have no clue where we are going, but we will figure it out.
“Don’t pretend as if one of the reasons you’re calling me cute isn’t because of my baby face. I know it is. I have big cheeks.”
My lips curve into an evil smile. “I love you big cheeks.”
She rolls her eyes, but I can see the smile she is trying to hide. “You’re so flirtatious.”
“I am,” I pause in my tracks, and meet her eyes. “But only when it comes to you. You’re my person and I don’t give a f**k about anyone else.”
Tarryn freezes in my arms, and then she peers up at me. “Is that a fox demon thing? And is that… is that what you are?”
I shrug. “Probably. I’m mixed with a lot of things, but I’m guessing all those different DNA’s is what gave birth to the fox.”
“I see…” Tarryn looks hesitant.
I arch an eyebrow at her. “What?”
She grimaces. “I feel like it’s my fault that you became an experiment. If I hadn’t had a tantrum that day, then you wouldn’t have followed me—”
“And then I would be dead,” I finish for her, and hand her a troubled smile. “And I would rather be alive than dead, Tarryn. Also, what happened isn’t your fault. So please don’t blame yourself. Marissa is to blame, but I bet I learn how to control myself with practice.”
“Me too,” she smiles. “But it’s not all bad. I love the tails and the ears.”
I grin. “The tails are growing on me too—I’ve used them as blankets in the prison cell. I’m rather fond of them, actually.”
