Chapter 24

(Angel)

Today, Colin is letting Noah out of the dungeons. Well, it was supposed to be yesterday, but Noah asked to stay another day. We were wondering why, and not just five minutes ago, Leonard, one of the guards in the dungeons linked Colin and said that Noah wanted to see us both, which is where we are heading now with Colin's Betas and my brothers. To tell you the truth, I'm curious to know why he wanted to stay another day. I look at Ray, he's posture is stiff like when I saw him when I tortured him. We enter the dungeons and go to a room that Colin has at the end of the steps to the right. Alondra and Ray leave to get Noah. Colin and Asher go to the monitors and look at them. I took this time to grab Elijah and pull him to the side. "What's going on with Ray and you?" I asked.

"What? Nothing" he says, but I know he's lying to me.

"You and Asher made a promise to me to never lie to me. Are you going to go back on it?" I ask and he sighs. His shoulders slump a little and he looks down. "Ray and I are mates" my brother says.

"Okay, what's wrong with that? I mean I thought you would be happy?" I said.

"I am, but he's not. He says he's not gay, yet he doesn't want to reject me", Elijah says, and I can tell that he is hurting. I pulled my brother into a hug.

"I'm sorry, but if he doesn't want to be with you and doesn't want to reject you, then you need to do something. You deserve to be happy", I told my brother.

"I saw him going out on a date with a girl last night", Elijah whispered, and even though he was whispering this to me I could hear the hurt in his voice. It made me angry knowing that my mate's friend was hurting my brother. Suddenly, a thought came to mind. "When we get out of here, you and I will have some sibling bonding time" I smiled.

"You're the best sis" he says, pulling me into a hug. The door to the room opened and I pulled back a bit from Elijah, but he kept his arm around my shoulder. I noticed when Ray's eyes went to my brother's arm and I smirked inwardly. I'm going to have so much fun with this. The door to the room closed and Noah was let go.

"Alpha, Luna" Noah bowed his head in respect.

"Have a seat, Noah", Colin says, gesturing to the seat in front of him. Noah sits and takes a deep breath.

"Noah, why did you want to stay instead of coming out like we talked about?" I asked.

"That female rogue you brought in the other day. I was trying to get information out of her", Noah replied.

"Did you get anything?" Colin asked.

"Oh, yes" Noah grinned before continuing "she said that her mother, her real mother, was coming for her and that everyone here was going to be sorry for hurting her and treating her the way she was treated."

"Mrs. Staton cannot get Tara out of here. Only the Alpha can" I said.

"Mrs. Staton is not Tara's real mother", Colin said, making me look at him.

"I don't know what the story is, but Mrs. Staton is not her real mother, but Mr. Staton is her real father", Colin said. I nodded my head.

"What else did you find out?" I asked Noah.

"I found out that her mother is the powerful dark witch that a woman named Yashira is looking for and that the dark witch is working with the rogue King", Noah tells me. "Did you find out when the witch was coming for her?" Colin asked.

"No, she wouldn't tell. I tried to get more information, but she was very quiet and sometimes at night I would hear her murmur as if she was talking to someone", Noah replied.

"I need to talk to grandma. If this dark witch is coming, grandma needs to be prepared", Colin said.

"Are you ready to get out of here?" I asked Noah.

"Yes, Luna" he said, bowing his head.

"Good, let's get out of here. We have a room ready for you. Oh and Noah, I want you to meet my brothers Asher and Elijah", I pointed to each one. Noah shook Elijah and Asher's hands before we left the dungeons. Outside the dungeons, I turned to Colin. "You can go to Yashira and talk to her. Elijah and I will show Noah to his room", I said.

"Alondra and I can give him a tour after he showers and eats something", Asher said.

"Great idea", I smiled at my brother. Colin nods and pulls me into a k!ss before leaving with Ray. I caught Ray looking at Elijah before following Colin. I have a feeling that Ray likes Elijah and that the bond is getting stronger between them, he just needs a little push. After showing Noah to his room and letting him know he had some clothes that pack members had given him, he went to shower and I went to my room with Elijah. I took out my phone and dialed someone I knew before I came here.

"Hello stranger" my friend answers the phone.

"Hello red. How are you?" I asked.

"I'm good, enjoying my vacation. How are you? Where are you?" he asks.

"About an hour from where we last met. I need a favor" I said.

"Okay, what do you need?" he asks.

"Let's meet up in an hour at that café, the last time we saw each other" I said.

"Okay, I'll see you there" he replied before hanging up the phone.

"Who is that?" Elijah asked.

"A friend of mine. He's very cool", I grinned and added, "now let's go. I don't want to be late." We both walked out the front door only to be stopped by Asher. "Where are you going?" Asher asks.

"I don't have time to explain. If you want to come, let's go" I said, walking to Colin's 1970 Challenger.

"It's Colin's" I said, getting in.

"Spill it" Asher says from the back seat.

"He knows" Elijah says, and I nod.

"Okay, so you know how Ray and Elijah here are mates right?" I ask and Asher nods.

"Last night Ray went out with a girl. We're going to meet a friend of mine. My friend is a very nice, sweet person, he has a fiery personality once he gets comfortable with you", I said. "Why are we meeting your friend?" Elijah asked and I smiled.

"You, my dear brother, are going to make Ray jealous. We're going to see what he will do" I said.

"What?" no-"

"Hear me out Eli. You're not going to do anything with red. It's just going to be dinner with a friend. We're just going to give Ray a taste of his own medicine. That's why I want you to meet him. Look Eli, you are my brother and I love you. You deserve to be happy and if Ray is not going to be the one to make you happy, then he needs to let you go. He can't turn his back on you and still pull you along like a lost puppy. You are not lost and you're definitely not a puppy. You are a grown as*s Lycan, and if he's not going to put anything into this bond, then you can find someone else who is going to be there for you, appreciate you, and love you for who you are", I sighed, running a hand through my hair.

"Maybe Ray is just confused, I don't know, but maybe this could help him see what's in front of him" I said.

"I agree with her" said Asher from the back seat. Elijah doesn't say anything and my phone rings. I looked at it to see it was Colin.

"Hey" I said, answering the phone.

"Where are you?" he asks.

"I'm with my brothers. I wanted to spend some sibling time together since your mom has the kids," I said.

"Okay my love. Just be careful", Colin said.

"I will. We'll be back in a couple of hours" I said.

"Okay, I love you" he said.

"I love you too" I said before hanging up the phone. We listened to the radio the rest of the way. I could tell Elijah was thinking about what I said and Asher was in the back seat just looking out the window and bobbing his head to the music. About fifty minutes later, we arrived at the café.

"We're here" I said, parking the car. We got out of the car and went inside the café. Inside the café, I spot my friend reading a book. I walk towards my friend and, as if sensing me, his head snaps up and a huge smile makes its way to his face, but I stop when I heard one word leave Elijah's l!ps.

"Mine." I turned and looked at Elijah only to see him looking at my friend.

"Easy Elijah. He's human and he has been through a lot", I told him lowly. We make our way towards red. He runs and engulfs me in his arms.

"It's been so long. I missed you so much" he says, hugging me tight.

"I missed you, too red" I said, hugging him back just as tight. I pulled back and turned to my brothers.

"Red, I want you to meet my brothers Asher and Elijah. Guys, I want you to meet my friend Dyland, but I call him Red", I said.

"It's nice to meet you" Asher said, extending his hand to Red. Red shakes his hand and smiles shyly. Then he shakes Elijah's hand and gasps when their hands touch. I knew it was because of the sparks.

"I'm going to go get something to drink. You want something Angel?" Asher asks.

"Surprise me" I grin.

"Would you like something? My treat", Elijah smiles, and I hear Red take in a sharp breath before nodding his head.

"He likes anything with chocolate and caramel" I smiled. At first I thought I was just going to make Ray jealous, but it turns out that my brother has two mates. Does this mean that Ray and Red are also mates? "Your brother is cute" Red says, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Which one?" I asked.

"The one with the emerald green eyes", Red grinned. I knew Elijah could hear him. I looked at Elijah and, by the way he was smiling, it confirmed it.

"That's good. I know he is very tall and intimidating, but he has a big heart and is very sweet", I said. Now I have to think of something quick. I can't tell him now that my brother wants to make someone else jealous. "Girl, you look beautiful. If before I thought you had a great body, now it's just... damn. I would kill to have your body", Red says. "Thanks" I smiled.

"So, what's new with you?" he asks.

"I'm a mom now and have a ma- boyfriend" I said, making his eyes widen.

"Wait, you have a boyfriend and you're also a mom?" he echoes and I nod.

"Do you have pictures? I want to see the baby" he says excitedly. I took out my phone and showed him a picture of Xavier and Colin together.

"Wow, girl. He is cute and that little boy of yours, I can't wait to meet him. Is your man treating you good? Does he know?" Red asks.

"Yes, Colin treats me like a queen and him and his family know about my past. So do my brothers", I tell him and he nods.

"That's good. So, what's this favor you want from me?" he asks, just as the guys come back. Asher puts in front of me a frozen hot chocolate and a piece of chocolate cake with caramel drizzle. Elijah got the same for Red, but his frozen hot chocolate has caramel drizzle also.

"Thanks bro", I smiled at Asher and took a bite out of the cake.

"This is a sweet car", Asher said.

"Well, my brother Elijah here has never gone out on a date with anyone and before I can go out on a real date with my boyfriend, he has to go out on a date first. So, I was wondering if my brother could take you out to dinner tonight so I can go on a date with my baby daddy" I asked, this whole time, Elijah was looking at me and Asher was trying not to laugh. Red looks at me, then at Elijah, then back at me. I can see a little fear in his eyes and I know why. I took Red's hand in mine. "Red, you know I will never put you in any danger. I know what you have been through and I can assure you my brother will never hurt you the way he did", I told him.

"Does he know?" he asks softly.

"It's not my story to tell and he will never force you to tell him. Take it as a new start. It's just two friends going out to dinner", I tell him. Red looks at my brother, who smiles at him.

"Okay, we can go out to dinner tonight" Red says, and I squeal in excitement. Not because Ray is going to be jealous, but because my brother is going to go out on a date with his second mate. My brother grins and Red blushes. "So, how is work?" I asked.

"I left that job. Once you helped me out with my problem, I wanted to start new. I'm just taking time for myself now. I got a few offers for modeling, but I declined and started writing", he tells me.

"How about you? Any jobs?" he asks. I can't tell him I'm a Luna. How am I going to explain that to him?

"Yes, I'm a full time mom and, thanks to your generosity that day, I don't have to work for a while" I admitted.

"That was nothing. You saved my life, Angel. You deserved a whole lot more" he says. We talked for about an hour more before we left the café. Red is going to pick Elijah up at the pack house, which would be perfect.

"Are you sure this is a good idea for him to come here?" Elijah asked.

"I'll let Colin know. Plus, Red is your mate. I know sooner or later you're going to tell him what you are and he'll know either way", I said, looking through his clothes. Dyland said he would take care of the place where they would go and have dinner and Elijah agreed as long as he paid for dinner, which Red reluctantly agreed.

"You don't have any long sleeve shirts" I said, walking out of his closet.

"I can wear a short sleeve shirt" Elijah said. I turned and flashed my eyes at him, letting out a low growl. He threw his hands up in surrender.

"What's going on?" I heard my mate ask. He was carrying Monica and Xavier at the same time. I looked between them and noticed that they were almost the same size. I grinned and walked as fast as I could to my mate's closet. I knew they were right behind me. "What are you doing, my love?" Colin asks, walking in the closet and wrapping his arms around me.

"I need a long sleeve dress shirt for Elijah. He's going on a date", I said.

"What?" Colin asked, tightening his hold on me. I sighed and turned to him.

"I know you heard our conversation in the dungeons. You know about your best friends basically ignoring my brother and going out with other girls. Well, I wanted to give him a doze of his own medicine. I called a friend of mine. We met up at a cafe only to find out that my friend is Elijah's second mate", I said, giving him the short version.

"So, your brother has two mates?" Colin asks and I nod.

"Yes, so, he's going out with him tonight and he is coming to pick up my brother here. He also wants to meet Xavier and you" I said, looking at the shirts. I found a long burgundy sleeve shirt dress.

"Perfect" I said, grabbing the shirt. I walked out of the closet and handed Elijah the shirt. I noticed he looked very nervous.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Um... I... err... I've never been on a date before" he said, taking me by surprise, but I couldn't help but smile. I took his hand and sat down on the sofa with him.

"I can't tell you what Dyland has gone through because it's not my story to tell, but I can tell you that Dyland is a very smart young man. He's sweet and shy at the same time, but once he gets to know you and feels safe around you, you'll see that fiery side of him. He likes to laugh and joke around. You're a great guy as well and he thinks you're cute. There's no reason for you to be nervous. Just be you, the guy dad, Asher, and I know. The guy we love", I smile and Elijah pulls me in for a hug. "Thanks sis", Elijah whispered in my ear.

"Go get ready. I'll let you know when he calls me". I told my brother. He nods and gets up. He thanks Colin for the shirt and takes off to his room.

"I'm sorry about Ray" Colin says.

"You don't have to apologize for your friend, but if he doesn't want to be with my brother, then he needs to let my brother go. My brother deserves to be happy and be with someone who is not ashamed of being seen with another male", I said.

"I agree with you" Colin said, taking me by surprise, but I was glad he understood. The kids are taking a nap right now.

"I'll be back in a little while. I'm going to check the borders", Colin said before giving me a k!ss and walking out the room. I sighed and sat on the sofa to watch some tv.

"Thank you Eli" Red said shyly with a blush on his face. Elijah blushes a little and I wonder if he has ever gone out on a date. Wait, that's it.
