Chapter 1786 Is He Harassing You?

He rubbed his eyes and took another look at the photos sent by Athena.

Although Ottilie sometimes behaved differently from other children, Dorian knew that her life was becoming more and more normal.

After all, she was just a young child who should sleep peacefully and sweetly.

Suddenly, he made a decision.

Tomorrow, he would go to the nearby church and pray for Simon to rest in peace.

If it weren't for Simon kidnapping Ottilie and forcing him out of seclusion to kill Athena's children, their lives wouldn't have undergone such earth-shaking changes.

With these thoughts in mind, he sent a message to Athena, thanking her once again.

When Athena received the message, she pulled Byron out of Mia's room and said to him, "Dorian must be really scared."

"They came back from the postpartum rehabilitation center and went fishing with Boson's son. They were probably exhausted, so they took a bath and fell asleep right away," Byron whispered. "It's amazing that they tired Ottilie out like this!" Athena couldn't help but smile.

"There's still another one over there." Byron gestured to Herbert with half of its butt still outside the nest.

It seemed to be a finicky dog. Even with such a condition, it still insisted on crawling back into the nest to sleep.

Athena couldn't help but laugh.

Then her gaze shifted, and she suddenly noticed that something was off with Byron's arm.

"Are you injured?"

She raised Byron's sleeve and frowned.

There was a scab on his arm, already healed, and it seemed like it was caused by a scrape.

"I ran into a child who almost got hit by a bike. I stumbled when I was saving him," Byron replied.

"Was there anyone with you at that time?" Athena frowned even harder.

"I was alone at that time." Byron put his sleeve down and quickly comforted Athena. "It's nothing, just a little scrape."

Athena felt both heartache and helplessness.

But she couldn't blame Byron for saving the child, right?

"Did you disinfect it with antiseptic?" Athena asked immediately after.

Byron nodded. "Mia took care of it for me."

That night, an incident like a bullet was fired from the Timberlake family, and unexpectedly, months later, it would hit Athena without warning. The next day, Athena got up early.

When she left her room, she saw four children huddled together

"What are you doing?"

Athena stretched and yawned as she walked over.

"Mommy, lower your voice!" Mia quickly turned around. "The kitten is eating breakfast."

Athena paused for a moment before remembering that she had brought Gideon's cat back yesterday.

She walked over and took a look.

The cat hadn't eaten for a whole day and was now gobbling down its food.

Even if there was thunder, it wouldn't disturb the cat eating.

Mia had clearly overthought it.

Athena had worried yesterday that if the kitten still didn't eat, she would have to take it to see a doctor.

Who would have known the longing for its master lasted only two nights?

After Athena had breakfast, Sally arrived.

"Is Fred crazy?" Sally sat on the sofa, looking confused.

"What happened? Is he harassing you?" Athena thought to herself that Fred daring to bother Sally meant he really wasn't afraid of death.

"He sent me a few thousand words of apology." Sally looked as if she had swallowed a fly.

"Um..." Athena was at a loss for words.

"I already told him that I don't need it at all. I just want those lunatics to stay away from me!" Sally said while frowning, "And he even said that when Elijah and I arrive in Girard City, he wants to invite the two of us to have a meal and apologize in person. What did Elijah do wrong? Why should we have a meal with him?"

"Was it very cold during that winter night there?" Athena suddenly asked.
