My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup -
Chapter 1798
Chapter 1798 His Symptoms Worsened
After finishing work yesterday, Logan slept during the day at the Timberlake Manor. He had just woken up when he heard that his dear Mia had fractured her hand from a fall. Logan rushed over in a panic before Elijah arrived.
Mia had blood on her face and was crying pitifully, almost shattering Logan's heart.
When Logan knew that Byron had pushed Mia down, his anger never subsided.
After the outsiders left.
Logan said with a dissatisfied tone, "Even if a ball was coming, you could have held her and shielded her with your body. Why did you have to push her?"
"Uncle."
Mia gently tugged on Logan's thumb.
Logan's eyes turned red. "Indeed, there's no safe place where Dad is!"
"Logan, that's enough. He didn't do it on purpose." Athena looked at Logan. "Take Aiden and Mia out for something to eat."
Logan didn't respond to Athena. He picked up Mia and said, "Aiden, come with me!"
Ottilie and Paul were also present.
Seeing this, they followed along and headed outside.
When Ottilie reached the doorway, she turned back around and said, "Mrs. Crawford, it's my responsibility, too. I should have been with Mia." Ottilie was too engrossed in doing her homework.
"Ottilie..."
Athena said helplessly.
But Ottilie didn't give her a chance to finish. "I won't let this happen again!"
After saying that, Ottilie bowed and left.
Athena was at a loss for words.
Athena sat down while rubbing her forehead, feeling a headache coming on.
Byron looked at Athena.
He was filled with anxiety.
"Honey, I..."
Athena looked up at Byron. "You didn't do it on purpose, I know."
"But I almost caused a serious accident to Mia!" Byron's hands trembled uncontrollably.
"Calm down, Byron."
Athena moved closer to him and held his trembling hand.
"Everyone makes mistakes, and besides, you were trying to protect our daughter," Athena said gently. "Mia is fine now, isn't she? We'll just be more careful next time." Byron kept looking at Athena.
Suddenly, he asked, "If I keep doing things wrong, will you leave me?"
Athena was slightly startled. "What are you talking about?"
Byron was filled with fear, not only because he worried about the consequences if Mia had hit the stone today but also because he feared that Athena would grow disgusted with him due to his inability to take care of their daughter, and then she would not love him anymore.
"I believe you won't do things wrong, and I won't leave you." Athena lifted her hand and cradled Byron's cheek. "Byron, we are lovers, spouses, and each other's family. I will never leave you." Byron's eyes turned wet.
He hugged Athena tightly.
The fear of being abandoned by Athena had long become an indelible demon in Byron's heart during the five years he lost her, even without that memory.
When Byron was triggered by something, that overwhelming fear descended upon him mercilessly, without any mercy, completely engulfing him.
At noon, Athena increased the dosage of calming medication in Byron's medicine.
After taking the medication, Byron fell into a deep sleep.
But even in his sleep, his mind seemed tense.
His brows were furrowed tightly.
Athena sat beside him and gently pushed the center of his brow with her fingertips.
After accompanying him for a while, Athena went outside and made a phone call to Byron's psychologist.
She recounted what had happened that day, along with Byron's anxiety and panic.
"Mr. Crawford has had anxiety disorder in the past, and now it seems that his symptoms have worsened. Just to be safe, when you return to Girard City, you'd better bring Mr. Crawford for a check," the psychologist said.
