Chapter 1899 Ridiculous Reason

Micah was still short, so he would step on the small stone piers to wash the plate.

The moment the killing occurred, no one reacted.

The skinny girl walked behind Micah.

From behind, she cut him with a sharp knife using all her strength.

Micah's tender neck immediately spurted out a large amount of blood.

He didn't even have time to shout.

As Micah fell to the ground, the girl pressed him down again and stabbed him wildly a few times.

The moment everyone reacted, they rushed over and pushed her down.

It was too late.

Nigel would never forget the murderer's crazy and sick laughter the moment she was pinned to the ground.

"If you had just minded your own business and chosen not to assist that deranged woman, this killer wouldn't have targeted you, and Micah would still be alive!" Nigel bellowed at Sally. "Why do you unfairly blame my mentor? He even coughed up blood the moment he saw Micah..."

Sally felt like she was living a nightmare, unable to believe that something so ludicrous could occur in the real world.

She took a few steps backward and felt light-headed. Her vision faded to black as she stumbled and fell.

Elijah guessed that the situation was related to them.

But he didn't expect that it would be like this.

He took Sally back.

Then, Elijah looked at Brett. "Where is that lunatic?"

"At the asylum." Brett smiled coldly, "She doesn't even have to face any consequences."

Elijah frowned.

"There were so many witnesses, and her reason for killing Micah is also ridiculous." Brett shook his head, his eyes welling up with tears. "It was because Micah had run towards them when they arrived, and she interpreted the disgust in his eyes after seeing her."

Later, Brett watched the surveillance video from that morning.

His heart shattered into more pieces.

Micah had looked back at the door once in a while.

How could he not know who Micah was expecting?

He probably mistook that girl for someone else and only realized it after he ran up to her.

However, in the eyes of that lunatic, his disappointment became disdain.

Just by looking at this expression alone, she had mercilessly slashed Micah's throat.

Lately, Brett had been unable to sleep peacefully.

As soon as he closed his eyes, the distressing image of Micah's neck, with a gaping wound revealing the bone, was engraved in his mind.

"I know that Micah saw your wife as a mother figure. He didn't want her to blame herself or suffer because of his death. So, after much consideration, I decided not to inform you," Brett explained, his hands clasped. "Nigel was right, even God couldn't bear that Micah left in this manner, and it's a shame..."

While the two engaged in conversation outdoors, Sally had already woken up.

Listening to Brett's emotional words, she felt a sense of distress.

Soon, Brett left.

The door was pushed open.

Elijah was back.

Seeing that she was awake, he quickly came forward and sat next to her.

"Are you feeling any discomfort?"

Sally hugged her knees and gently shook her head. "Elijah, all I wanted to do was help one person. Why did Micah have to die because of my good intentions?"
